I joined this airline when it first began. It was a shaky start but with the management they recruited, I knew this airline would bw succesful. I fly almost every weekend and the flights are amazing. Recently they had a tour event and everything went so smoothly that, it felt like it just bagan and now its over. I wish this airline the best and will stand by it at all times.

UAE0104 | Kareem Eissa

I almost did more than 5 flights with them, they have the best ACARS system so far including an Emirates sound pack. I do believe they are the best Virtual Airline in the field right now. I did with them a tour event in which it was extraordinary, they organise their tours with VATSIM, in whice you'll find flights fully covered with ATC.

Emirates Unveils 360-Degree Virtual Tour Inside A380

' data-src=

Want to know what the view is like from Seat 2K aboard the Emirates A380 before buying a ticket? You can now find out thanks to Emirates’ newly released 360-degree cabin view.

Dubai-based carrier Emirates has become the first airline to introduce an immersive 360-degree inside their aircraft, allowing guests to explore the seats and onboard product, and get a feel for the inflight offering without needing to step foot inside the aircraft.

The new feature , now available on emirates.com, allows users to navigate through the Economy, Business and First Class cabins, as well as the iconic Onboard Lounge and Shower Spa on the Emirates A380 using navigational hotspots.

Alex Knigge, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand (Digital), said: “As we continually invest to provide our customers with an unmatched travel experience onboard and on the ground, we also work very hard to give our customers a world-class digital experience.”

“We are pleased to be the world’s first airline to introduce this cutting-edge web VR technology, which offers our customers an immersive opportunity to learn more about the fantastic Emirates experience before they step on board. In our usability tests with customers, we found that they particularly appreciated the 3D seat and cabin models when selecting their seats.”

In addition to the 3D cabin models, new product videos  across all cabin types have also been released.

Take A 3D Tour Of An Emirates Airbus A380

You can now explore the 3 cabins inside of an Emirates Airbus A380 on Emirates.com courtesy of “web virtual reality (VR) technology”. As things stand the aircraft on view is home to the older style First Class cabin but Emirates says that the technology will soon include all configurations of the A380 and its Boeing 777 aircraft.

The technology allows users to see inside the various cabins just by moving a round their screen with a mouse and, if you’re one of the few who have a VR headset (like Google Cardboard), you can use that to get an even more immersive experience.

Here’s what the cabins loom like on a regular laptop screen:

Emirates A380 First Class

You can’t just visit any part of the aircraft you like – there are predefined viewing position set by the software – but you can still get a good idea of what the aircraft offers.

Here’s a view of a First Class suite from the aisle….

….and then the same suite viewed from the inside:

There are markers within the suite which, when clicked, give a bit more information on the amenities available and the seat characteristics.

You can take a look around the small (but very useful) shower “spa”….

…and check out the onboard lounge (which is shared with Business Class) too:

Emirates A380 Business Class

The Business Class tour works in much the same way except that you can choose to view a window seat, an aisle seat or see what the twin seats look like:

Once again you can click on a number of areas around the seat to get more in formation about the amenities available.

Emirates A380 Economy Class

In the Economy Class cabin you can view the whole cabin….

…the extra legroom seats….

…the window seats….

…and the aisle seats….

Unsurprisingly you’re not give n a chance to see what a middle seat looks like.

I like the idea behind this because it gives a passenger a little bit more of an idea of what to expect onboard but I found the laptop experience very limiting.

You can’t walk up and down the aisles in a similar way to how a Google Maps experience lets you walk around so you’re restricted to what you can actually view.

This may not be an issue for those viewing with a VR headset but, as I suspect they’ll form a very small percentage of people exploring the aircraft, that shouldn’t really be the target audience for this kind of tour.

The best way for me to sum up my feelings is this: I like the concept but I’m not overly impressed with the execution.

You Can Now Choose Your Seat on Emirates Using Virtual Reality

By Sebastian Modak

All products featured on Condé Nast Traveler are independently selected by our editors. However, when you buy something through our retail links, we may earn an affiliate commission.

Maybe we're a little biased, but we'd say a certain level of aviation geekiness can go a long way when it comes to minimizing the discomfort of a long-haul flight : It's why you'd catch most of our staff poring over SeatGuru seat maps before taking a flight to pinpoint that exact aisle seat, far enough from the galley and bathrooms but not too close to the bulkhead where the screaming babies live . But a 2D layout of a plane only goes so far; Dubai-based Emirates has taken it up a notch with three-dimensional, 360-degree, virtual reality renderings of its three-class, double-decker Airbus A380s that you can fully explore before booking your seat or, let's be real, just for kicks.

From Emirates's website or app, would-be fliers can roam the aisles of the A380, checking out different seating configurations and getting the full scope of the plane, from the crammed-in middle seat in economy to the expansive first-class suites and "shower spa." Every feature is rendered to impressive detail, down to the stocked minibars of the business-class seats and the faux-wood upholstery of the lounge at the back of the plane's upper deck.

The technology, developed by Spanish firm Renacen , even allows you to explore the cabins hands-free using your cell phone and a VR-viewing headset like Google Cardboard. But, while it's nice to be able to see how the one percent flies up front, the most exciting thing about Emirates's pioneering use of the technology is what it means in practical terms.

"We are pleased to be the world’s first airline to introduce this cutting edge web VR technology, which offers our customers an immersive opportunity to learn more about the fantastic Emirates experience before they step on board," Alex Knigge, Emirates's senior vice president, corporate communications, marketing and brand (digital), said in a statement from the airline. "In our usability tests with customers, we found that they particularly appreciated the 3D seat and cabin models when selecting their seats.”

Effective immediately, passengers booked on the A380, like on the popular New York-JFK to Dubai route, can book their seats within the 3D portal by accessing the airline's website on their mobile devices or through the Emirates app. Even in economy, it means no surprises when you board; plus, it's just a whole lot of fun.

While the VR experience is currently only available for the airline's three-class A380 planes, Emirates will be expanding it to cover its entire fleet, including multiple configurations of the A380 and Boeing 777.

We'll take first-class suite 2K, thank you very much.

Introducing the emirates virtual group tours, "the world is calling, are you ready".

Simple Flying

Emirates boeing 777-300er: a full cabin tour.

Simple Flying recently got a chance to tour an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER. The Boeing 777-300ER has been the workhorse of the Emirates fleet for well over a decade, alongside the Airbus A380. The 777-300ER has a range of 7,888 nautical miles, and the aircraft type has flown over 298 million passengers since its introduction.

The triple seven has been prevalent with Emirates during the pandemic, and most of the airlines 150 Boeing 777-300ER's have remained active, while the majority of its A380 fleet has been parked.

The particular plane I toured had a three-class configuration:

  • First class: Eight suites
  • Business class: 42 angle flat seats
  • Economy class: 310 seats

Let us take you on a tour of the 360 seat passenger plane!

First class cabin

We will start up front, with Emirates' most premium seats. Flying in Emirates' first class can set you back anywhere from $2,000-$10,000, depending on the route. For this, you get the best—a suite with doors, incredible service, fine dining, and an impeccable on the ground experience.

On this particular Boeing 777-300ER, we saw an older version of the first class suite. On select Boeing 777-300ERs, Emirates now offers fully enclosed suites, complete with virtual windows!

Cabin fact file:

  • Eight suites in total on the plane
  • Seat pitch: 69 inches (fully lie flat)
  • Seat width: 20.5 inches
  • Fun fact: The seat has a minibar in the armrest

The cabin is configured in a 1-2-1 configuration, so everyone gets direct aisle access. An aerial view of the suite shows everything you get. Panoramic views out of three windows, a minibar in the armrest, a duvet, mattress and pillow, a vanity mirror, large TV, and lamp.

The suite has a door that adds a huge amount of privacy.

The wall of the suite is adorned with fresh flowers.

The crazy armrest minibar!

Seat 1K, complete with a snack basket, huge TV, and vanity kit/mirror.

Emirates is known for having showers onboard its planes. The shower spa facilities for first class passengers are only on the Airbus A380. Luckily, if you are flying with Emirates, there is a chance you will be connecting in Dubai, which will increase your chances of potentially flying on an Airbus A380.

Business class cabin

  • 42 seats in total on the plane
  • Seat pitch: 60 inches (angle flat seat)

As you walk further back into the plane, you enter the world of business class. The cabin is configured in a 2-3-2 configuration; this means not everyone gets direct aisle access.

The seats come complete with a reading light, mini control tablet, pillow, and blanket. Mattresses can also be given upon request.

The angle flat seats have a large entertainment screen, shoe holder, and a pocket for the safety card/water.

Window seats are certainly the most private in this cabin.

Economy class

  • 310 seats in total on the plane
  • Seat pitch: 32 inches
  • Seat width: 17 inches

Finally, the back half of the plane is dedicated to the economy class cabin. Seats here are configured in a 3-4-3 configuration.

The seats come complete with Emirates' ICE entertainment system, with thousands of hours of on-demand content. The seats also all come with a cup holder and separate tray tables.

Passengers are all provided with a pillow, blanket, and plenty of legroom!

The cabin feels wide and airy, with large overhead bins.

The emergency exit seats have a crazy amount of legroom in economy class, but they are missing a window.

Overall, the Emirates 777-300ER is a very comfortable plane to fly on, and we can't wait to see what the airline's future fleet brings in terms of passenger experience. Emirates has a total of 126 Boeing 777Xs on order, and these planes will replace a lot of these 777-300ERs.

Have you ever flown on an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER? Let us know in the comments!
