Norwegian Star underwent a refurbishment in summer 2018 during which it received the Sky High Bar (which replaced the Bier Garten), the Bliss Ultra Lounge (which replaced Spinnaker Lounge) and the adults-only Spice H2O. Additionally, all cabins and suites were outfitted with USB charging ports.

Norwegian Star's design. Norwegian Star is an older vessel by cruise ship standards, being built in 2001. However, this ship received a refurbishment in 2021 to give it a refresh and update. This refurbishment has ensured that Norwegian Star will be capable of providing excellent cruise vacations for years to come.

We cruised the South Atlantic on Norwegian Sun in 2008, including Argentina, Falkland Islands and Chile, and it is the most amazing experience. The scenery and wildlife is incredible. The weather in December was also pretty kind to us. That ship had a lounge forward so if you include the outdoor decks it was ideal.
