The Colchester Visitor Information Centre (otherwise know as the 'VIC' or 'Visit Colchester HQ') is the tourist office for Colchester. Find us in the centre of the city, based in Hollytrees Museum within Colchester's historic and beautiful Castle Park .
Get in touch in advance of your trip using our contact details , or simply drop in once you arrive. Our friendly staff will have plenty of suggestions of things to see and do, as well as practical advice on travelling , car parking, and ensuring you allocate enough time to see everything.
The centre offers access to wheelchair users and people with disabilities as well as pushchairs. You can also book guided tours of Colchester, or day trips and holidays with local coach operators.
The Visitor Information Centre has a fantastic Gift Shop selling Colchester Souvenirs and locally made gifts including pottery and jam from world renowned jam purveyors, Wilkin & Sons of Tiptree. We also stock a lovely selection of Union Jack themed items, popular with international visitors, and old traditional wooden toys and games. From fridge magnets and postcards, to local historical books and our famous 'I Love Colchester' Claudius teddy bear, there is plenty to take home to remember your visit to our special city.
