Four Cruises With Stunning Views of the April 2024 Eclipse

For skywatchers, April 8, 2024 is a major date. Following an annular eclipse that occurred in October 2023, April 8 marks a second event in just six months. However, this time it will be a total solar eclipse .

During that day, the moon will pass between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the Sun. The sky will turn dark, and if it’s clear and you are in the path of totality, then you should be able to see the outer corona of the Sun, which is normally invisible due to the brightness of the star.

The path of the eclipse will start in the Pacific Ocean and Mexico, and then through Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, and New York before reaching Maine and Canada. The 2024 eclipse excites many people because it will be the last to be seen from the continuous United States until 2044, according to NASA.

april 1 8 cruise

In fact, many spots in the path of totality plan to deal with heavy traffic and limited hotel rooms as droves of people visit to catch the site of the astronomical moment.

But perhaps nowhere could the view be better than on a cruise ship. While most people will see the eclipse on land, the path takes it over the Pacific coast of Mexico, including the port city of Mazatlán and near the popular port of Cabo San Lucas.

That means there are cruise ships that will be in the area, with the ability to move to get a perfect view of the eclipse and no worries about land or trees blocking the view.

In fact, we’ve found several cruises that will be in the area on April 8 making them ideal for having a nice vacation while also getting arguably the best view of the event.

Discovery Princess (Departs April 3 from Los Angeles)

april 1 8 cruise

How popular is this eclipse? Discovery Princess sets sail on April 3, 2024 on a 10-day “Mexican Riviera with Total Solar Eclipse” cruise… and it’s already completely sold out.

The ship sails from Los Angeles with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and then on April 8 will be in prime position to see the totality of the event. Mazatlán, Mexico is right in the center of the eclipse path. You couldn’t ask for more perfect positioning.

Following the eclipse, Discovery Princess will stop in Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta, followed by two days at sea before returning to California.

Holland America Koningsdam (Departs April 5 from San Diego)

What could make a cruise of a lifetime even better? What about adding in the best view of the total eclipse in the middle of it?

This cruise aboard Holland America is a stunning 22-day trip that departs San Diego, visits Mexico, then sails across the Pacific to tour the Hawaiian islands before ending in Vancouver. That by itself is an amazing itinerary.

But this cruise will visit Cabo San Lucas on April 7 and Puerto Vallarta on April 9. That puts it in great position for the eclipse on April 8. If you want to sail, then you can aboard starting at $1,599 per person.

Holland America Volendam (Departs April 6 from San Diego)

Another Holland America cruise, this is another epic cruise that would be amazing without the eclipse as the cherry on top.

In this case, it’s a 15-day cruise that departs San Diego on a Panama Canal cruise that ends in Fort Lauderdale. Technically it doesn’t have a day focused on the eclipse, but on April 8, it will be docked in Cabo San Lucas. The port isn’t in the path of totality, but it is at a spot with 95% of totality, giving a still great view.

After that, it’s more stops in Mexico, Central America, Colombia, and The Bahamas before ending the trip in Fort Lauderdale.

Tickets on the epic cruise start at $899 per person but taxes and port expenses will tack on nearly $700 extra.

Emerald Princess (Departs April 5 from Los Angeles)

Emerald Princess will be on a repositioning cruise in April 2024, putting it in a prime spot to view the eclipse. It departs April 5 from Los Angeles. The 15-day cruise then heads to Cabo San Lucas and will be at sea in a perfect spot during the eclipse.

After that, it stops in Huatulco, Mexico and Costa Rica before doing a transit of the Panama Canal. Once through, you’ll stop in Cartagena, Columbia and a port of call at Grand Cayman.

Finally, you’ll end the cruise in Fort Lauderdale on April 20. The two-week cruise is aboard Emerald Princess, and you could be aboard starting at $1,898 for an interior cabin per person.

A Rare Chance to Experience an Eclipse at Sea

While millions will be able to see the eclipse in some form, a fairly narrow strip of the world will be in a position to see the rare event in totality. With a cruise, however, you have the ability to be perfectly positioned — if the weather cooperates.

If you have the means, being on a ship in the eclipse’s path promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

April Cruise Deals and Discounts

Cruising in April offers the chance to take advantage of some enticing deals and discounts, as it falls within the shoulder season for many cruise regions.

Here, we’ll explore ways to find and maximize cruise deals and discounts for your April vacation:

1. Book Early

Booking your April cruise well in advance can often lead to significant savings. Cruise lines typically offer early booking incentives such as reduced fares, onboard credits, and cabin upgrades for those who secure their reservations early.

Keep an eye out for “Wave Season” promotions that occur at the beginning of the year when cruise lines roll out their best deals.

2. Last-Minute Deals

On the flip side, if you’re flexible with your travel plans, you can also find last-minute cruise deals for April. Cruise lines may offer unsold cabins at reduced prices to fill ships closer to departure dates.

Look for deals on cruise line websites or through travel agencies specializing in last-minute cruises.

3. Travel Agent Expertise

Consider working with a knowledgeable travel agent specializing in cruises. They often have access to exclusive deals, can provide valuable insights into the best cruise lines and itineraries for April, and help you navigate the booking process.

4. Loyalty Programs

If you’re a frequent cruiser, check if the cruise line you prefer has a loyalty program. These programs often offer perks such as discounted fares, priority boarding, and onboard credits for repeat cruisers.

5. Promotion Periods

Cruise lines frequently run promotions and sales throughout the year. Keep an eye on their websites, sign up for newsletters, and follow them on social media to stay informed about special offers and discounts.

6. Cruise Packages

Consider booking a cruise package that includes airfare, hotel accommodations, and transfers. These packages can offer savings and simplify your travel arrangements.

7. Repositioning Cruises

Repositioning cruises are voyages when ships are moved from one region to another as seasons change. These cruises often offer significant discounts, as they may include multiple days at sea and unique itineraries.

8. Group Bookings

If you’re traveling with a group, inquire about group booking rates. Many cruise lines offer discounts for group reservations, which can be a great way to save.

9. Cruise Fare Comparison Sites

Use cruise fare comparison websites to compare prices from different cruise lines for the same itinerary. This can help you identify the best deals quickly.

10. Travel Insurance Inclusions

Some cruise lines offer promotions where travel insurance is included in the cruise fare. This can provide peace of mind and potentially save you money on insurance costs.

11. Off-Peak Destinations

Consider cruising to destinations that are less popular in April. These regions may offer lower prices due to reduced demand, allowing you to explore unique and less crowded locales.

12. Flexibility with Cabin Selection

Opt for a flexible cabin category rather than a specific room. This can lead to significant savings, as cruise lines may assign you to a higher category cabin if available.

13. Use Cruise Deal Websites

Explore cruise deal websites and forums where travelers share their experiences and highlight current promotions. These platforms often provide valuable insights into the best cruise deals available.

Remember to read the fine print and compare the overall value of any deals or discounts. While price is essential, consider factors such as inclusions, cabin category, and the cruise line’s reputation when making your decision.

By staying vigilant and doing your research, you can secure an excellent deal for your April cruise adventure.

Post-Cruise Tips and Recommendations

After a memorable April cruise adventure, there are several post-cruise tips and recommendations to help you wrap up your vacation smoothly and make the most of your travel experience:

1. Complete Post-Cruise Surveys

Many cruise lines ask guests to complete post-cruise surveys or evaluations. Take the time to provide feedback on your experience. Your input helps cruise lines improve their services and can even lead to changes in future cruises.

2. Review Your Onboard Expenses

Check your onboard account statement to ensure all charges are accurate. Discrepancies can usually be resolved at the guest services desk before disembarking. Be sure to keep all receipts for reference.

3. Settle Gratuities

If gratuities are not automatically included in your cruise fare, settle any outstanding gratuity payments. Cruise lines often provide guidelines on the recommended amounts per guest per day, which can be paid in cash or added to your onboard account.

4. Stay Organized

Gather all your belongings, including passports, travel documents, and any items you may have used or borrowed during the cruise (e.g., towels, bathrobes). Check all drawers and closets to ensure nothing is left behind.

5. Plan Transportation

Arrange transportation from the cruise terminal to your next destination. If you have a flight to catch, consider booking a transfer service or arranging for a taxi or ride-sharing service in advance.

6. Post-Cruise Hotel Stay

If you plan to extend your vacation with a stay in the port city, make hotel reservations in advance. Some cruise lines offer post-cruise hotel packages that include accommodations and transportation to the hotel.

7. Disembarkation

Listen to the disembarkation instructions provided by the cruise line. Follow the assigned disembarkation schedule and be patient as it can take some time to clear the ship.

8. Tipping Crew Members

Consider tipping crew members who provided exceptional service during your cruise. This includes cabin stewards, waitstaff, and any other staff members who went above and beyond to make your trip memorable.

9. Post-Cruise Excursions

If your schedule allows, consider booking a post-cruise excursion or activity to further explore the port city before returning home. This can be a great way to extend your vacation and see more of the area.

10. Stay Connected

Exchange contact information with fellow passengers and stay connected with new friends you’ve made during the cruise. Social media and email are excellent ways to maintain these connections.

11. Reflect and Share

Take some time to reflect on your cruise experience. Share your memories and photos with friends and family, and consider writing a review or a blog post to help others planning their cruises.

12. Plan Your Next Adventure

Cruising can be addictive! Start thinking about your next cruise adventure and explore different destinations, itineraries, and cruise lines. Booking in advance often comes with early booking discounts.

13. Travel Insurance Claims

If you encountered any issues during your cruise that may result in insurance claims (e.g., lost luggage, medical emergencies), contact your travel insurance provider promptly to initiate the claims process.

14. Relax and Recharge

Once you return home, take some time to relax and recharge. Unpack, do laundry, and reflect on your experiences. Consider creating a photo album or scrapbook to preserve your cruise memories.

15. Share Your Feedback

Provide feedback to the cruise line through post-cruise surveys, reviews on travel websites, or social media. Your insights can help others make informed decisions about their cruise choices.

16. Book Future Cruises

If you enjoyed your April cruise, consider booking your next cruise while onboard. Many cruise lines offer special incentives and discounts for booking future cruises while at sea.

Wonder of the Seas - April 1-8 Review

Hi fellow cruisers, here is the good and bad of our week on the Wonder. This was only our second Royal cruise and first on such a large ship.

We only booked this cruise a couple of weeks before sailing so were only able to get late times for embarkation (1.30) specialty dining (9pm) and main dining 5.30pm (yikes...that's cocktail time!) We had booked 3 specialty restaurants.

We arrived at the port a little before 1pm and because rooms were ready from 1pm we carried on our luggage...went straight through boarding (no real line up) and straight to our room and dropped off our cases. Then over to one of the specialty restaurants to change our reservations from 9pm to 8pm. All much easier than I had expected. Then to the main dining room and was able to get my time dining.

We had a Central Park balcony, room 11207. We had a great view of Central Park and it was so different to an ocean view balcony. With the door closed there was never any issue with noise, even when there was a movie playing. With the door open you had all the sound of the park and the pool area. Always lots of music playing which was actually quite nice. Bed was by the bathroom for those that need to know. Loved the closet space on either side of the bed...so easy to get to everything.

On the first night it was announced that there was 5318 passengers on board. Having said that the ship never seemed overcrowded, busy yes, but we were always able to get into bars and eateries without an issue. The promenade area was never full, always room in the Pub, the Rising Tide bar, Schooners, Boleros...same with the Boardwalk.

My biggest complaint with the Promenade was the music. There is a raised stage and the resident band played there a lot in the evening. Sitting at the bar in Schooners was very loud. In Boleros they always had their own music playing and it seemed they were always competing with each other. I understand the music is for those wondering the Promenade but I much prefer each bar to have their own music.

We ate in Chops, Hooked and 150 Central Park. Chops was excellent...Hooked gave us way to much food (but is was good)...150 Central Park served very small portions so don't go there hungry. We also ate in the main dining room, the service was great and so was the food.

Despite the number of passengers we were always able to get beds beside the pool (or at least close). We also spent a lot of time in the Solarium and again was able to get beds. People were always coming and going.

Ports were all great, first time in Labadee and we really enjoyed it. Coco Cay was so different but we really enjoyed the pool area. There was another ship in as well so close to 9000 people but again we were able to get beds.

The shows were great...we were lucky to see Taps as it was cancelled after the second night. Ice show and aqua show were excellent.

Overall we really enjoyed the Wonder, lots to do and plenty of space. However, at the end of the week we didn't really feel we had been on a cruise...more like a big all inclusive in Vegas. We rarely saw the sea...only from the pool deck or the solarium if you could get close to the windows. Sitting in Central Park was our favourite spot but you could have been in any Vegas hotel or even in a city surrounded by apartments...you would never have known you were on a ship. We loved the idea of the Promenade but again you couldn't see outside.

A great week and now on to the next cruise.

Great review! Thank you so much for all the information. We're traveling on the WOS in June, so we're looking forward to it.

Saintsfan007

Thanks for the review!  We have that ship on our radar, but currently looking forward to the Allure in Galveston at the end of this year, and the Harmony near the end of 2023.  No air fare, Oasis class ships with the new cruise terminal, something to look forward to.  In the meanwhile, will said on the Adventure before she leaves.

That being said, we will definitely sail the Wonder, but it will probably be after Utopia sets sail, or after the Saints win another Super Bowl!!  Cheers!!

Go Saints!!

Carnival announces 16-day cruise from Mobile to Seattle in 2026

Carnival Cruise Line will offer, for the first-time ever, a cruise from Mobile to Seattle starting in 2026.

The 16-day Carnival Journeys cruise will take the Carnival Spirit from its Mobile homeport on April 12, for a journey that will end up in Seattle by April 28, 2026. The cruise is selling for $1,519 per person for an interior room, or $3,038 for two people. Bookings are currently online via carnival.com .

Carnival Cruise Line included the Mobile-to-Seattle announcement in a news release its 2026-2027 deployment plans including the first wave of sailings for summer 2026.

“It’s another cruise opportunity for Mobile and another first offering,” said David Clark, president & CEO with Visit Mobile. “I hope our community spreads the good news. It’s another added benefit of our partner with Carnival. They continue to take chances on Mobile.”

The cruise will include visits to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico ; Puntarenas, Costa Rica ; and Cartagena, Colombia .

The Carnival Spirit will then offer sailings to Alaska during the summer of 2026.

A return voyage from Seattle to Mobile will take place on Oct. 8, 2026.

Mobile city officials, in 2023, authorized a five-year agreement with Carnival Cruise Line for use of the Mobile, Alabama Cruise Terminal for seasonal excursions for the Carnival Spirit . The Spirit, the largest cruise ship to homeport in Mobile, sails from the city on 5, 6, 8, and 12-day excursions from the months of October to March. In 2026, the sailings will last into the month of April.

Hackers may have stolen your Social Security number in a massive breach. Here's what to know.

By Aimee Picchi

Edited By Anne Marie Lee

Updated on: August 19, 2024 / 9:51 AM EDT / CBS News

A new lawsuit is claiming hackers have gained access to the personal information of "billions of individuals," including their Social Security numbers, current and past addresses and the names of siblings and parents — personal data that could allow fraudsters to infiltrate financial accounts or take out loans in their names.

The allegation arose in a lawsuit filed earlier this month by Christopher Hofmann, a California resident who claims his identity theft protection service alerted him that his personal information had been leaked to the dark web by the "nationalpublicdata.com" breach. The lawsuit was earlier reported by Bloomberg Law.

The breach allegedly occurred around April 2024, with a hacker group called USDoD exfiltrating the unencrypted personal information of billions of individuals from a company called National Public Data (NPD), a background check company, according to the lawsuit. Earlier this month, a hacker leaked a version of the stolen NPD data for free on a hacking forum, tech site Bleeping Computer reported .

That hacker claimed the stolen files include 2.7 billion records, with each listing a person's full name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and phone number, Bleeping Computer said. While it's unclear how many people that includes, it's likely "that everyone with a Social Security number was impacted," said Cliff Steinhauer, director of information security and engagement at The National Cybersecurity Alliance, a nonprofit that promotes online safety.

"It's a reminder of the importance of protecting yourself, because clearly companies and the government aren't doing it for us," Steinhauer told CBS MoneyWatch.

In a statement posted to its website, NPD said the breach involved a "third-party bad actor that was trying to hack into data in late December 2023, with potential leaks of certain data in April 2024 and summer 2024."

The company added that it is working with law enforcement and government investigators. NPD said it "will try to notify you if there are further significant developments applicable to you."

Here's what to know about the alleged hack.

What is National Public Data?

National Public Data is a data company based in Coral Springs, Florida, that provides background checks for employers, investigators and other businesses that want to check people's backgrounds. Its searches include criminal records, vital records, SSN traces and more information, its website says.

There are many similar companies that scrape public data to create files on consumers, which they then sell to other businesses, Steinhauer said.

"They are data brokers that collect and sell data about people, sometimes for background check purposes," he said. "It's because there's no national privacy law in the U.S. — there is no law against them collecting this data against our consent."

What happened with the USDoD hack?

According to the new lawsuit, USDoD on April 8 posted a database called "National Public Data" on the dark web, claiming to have records for about 2.9 billion individuals. It was asking for a purchase price of $3.5 million, the lawsuit claims.

However, Bleeping Computer reported that the file was later leaked for free on a hacker forum, as noted above.

How many people have been impacted?

The number of people impacted by the breach is unclear. Although the lawsuit claims "billions of individuals" had their data stolen, the total population of the U.S. stands at about 330 million. The lawsuit also alleges that the data includes personal information of deceased individuals.

Bleeping Computer reports that the hacked data involves 2.7 billion records, with individuals having multiple records in the database. In other words, one individual could have separate records for each address where they've lived, which means the number of impacted people may be far lower than the lawsuit claims, the site noted.

The data may reach back at least three decades, according to law firm Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe, which said on Monday it is investigating the breach.

Did NPD alert individuals about the hack?

It's unclear, although the lawsuit claims that NPD "has still not provided any notice or warning" to Hoffman or other people affected by the breach.

"In fact, upon information and belief, the vast majority of Class Members were unaware that their sensitive [personal information] had been compromised, and that they were, and continue to be, at significant risk of identity theft and various other forms of personal, social, and financial harm," the lawsuit claims.

Information security company McAfee reported that it hasn't found any filings with state attorneys general. Some states require companies that have experienced data breaches to file reports with their AG offices.

However, NPD posted an alert about the breach on its website, stating that it believes the information breached includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers and mailing addresses.

Can you find out if your data was part of the hack?

There are tools available that will monitor what information about you is available on the dark web, noted Michael Blair, managing director of cybersecurity firm NukuDo. Commonly breached data includes your personal addresses, passwords and email, he added.

One such service is how Hofmann, who filed the lawsuit, found out that his information has been leaked as part of NPD breach.

"Make sure to use reputable companies to look that up," Blair said.

What should I do to protect my information?

Security experts recommend that consumers put freezes on their credit files at the three big credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Freezing your credit is free, and will stop bad actors from taking out loans or opening credit cards in your name.

"The biggest thing is to freeze your credit report, so it can't be used to open new accounts in your name and commit other fraud in your name," Steinhauer said.

In its statement, NPD also urged people to put free fraud alerts on their accounts, which "tells creditors to contact you before they open any new accounts or change your existing accounts," it said. You'll have to contact just one of the three credit bureaus to create a fraud alert, and that agency will alert the others.

Steinhauer recommends consumers take several additional steps to protect their data and finances:

  • Make sure your passwords are at least 16 characters in length, and are complex.
  • Use a password manager to save those long, complex passwords.
  • Enable multifactor authentication, which Steinhauer calls "critical," because simply using a single password to access your accounts isn't enough protection against hackers.
  • Be on alert for phishing and other scams. One red flag is that the scammers will try to create a sense of urgency to manipulate their victims.
  • Keep your security software updated on your computer and other devices. For instance, make sure you download the latest security updates from Microsoft or Apple onto your apps and devices.

You can also get a tracking service that will alert you if your data appears on the dark web.

"You should assume you have been compromised and act accordingly," Steinhauer said.

60% of baby foods sold in US are unhealthy: 'urgent' study

We spent $118k on a 9-month world cruise to see 65 countries: ‘have to be insane’.

A couple splashed out $118K on a nine-month cruise around the world – after realizing “life’s too short.”

Andrew Kenney, 27, and his wife, Ale, 29, set off on their epic cruise – calling at 150 ports in 65 countries – in December 2023.

The couple decided to embark on the mammoth trip after both of their dads passed away – not wanting to wait until they retired to travel.

So far, the couple have visited Australia, France, Greenland and the Bahamas on their “once in a lifetime trip” and say they’ve made friends for life onboard.

But the pair are not completely letting their hair down – Andrew has been doing freelance videography and Ale has been vlogging their journey.

Ale, a pharmacy technician, from Panama City, Florida, US, said: “Both of our fathers passed away when they were very young and didn’t get to do much traveling.

“After my dad passed away we said we hoped we would get to travel when we retire.

“But we thought that one of us might die before we get to travel so we decided to travel the world together.”

Andrew, a videographer and photographer, added: “It has been an incredible experience.

“If we can go now then why shouldn’t we?

“After we spoke to friends and family about it they said we should do it so here we are.”

Ale’s dad, Lynn Ellenburg, passed away aged 57 in 2021 after a short illness and Andrew’s dad, Chris Kenney, then 30, died when he was two years old in 1999

After her dad’s death, Ale said she saw an advert for the Royal Caribbean Ultimate World Cruise and brought it up to Andrew.

She said: “I brought it up as a joke because I thought you would have to be insane to go on a nine-month cruise.

“But, we started looking into it and the fact it was a full world cruise where we would hit seven continents and see the world wonders won us over.”

The couple set off on the cruise from Miami, Florida, on December 10, 2023.

They say that it has been a “once-in a-lifetime trip” and they hope to return to some of their favourite locations in the future.

She said: “The things we have experienced are what we read about or watched on TV.

“Like who gets to see the Great Wall of China or the Taj Mahal?

“We loved Japan, it was incredible the food was amazing and the people were super helpful and friendly.

“South Africa was beautiful and unlike anywhere we have ever been.

“French Polynesia is the most perfect place on the planet, we realised that this was a sample of places we will return to.”

By the time the cruise ends, Andrew and Ale will have been onboard for nine months.

They said they have been “surprised” by the community they have met on the ship.

Ale said: “I was not expecting the community on board, with us all being forced into these different circumstances we have found some lifelong friends.

“We have made a community with like-minded people who love to travel.

“It has been a whole level that I did not anticipate.”

The couple paid $59k each for their room and said it was “worth it.”

Andrew said: “You get three loads of laundry done every week, unlimited wifi, free food and drinks and get to see seven world wonders – all included in the price.

“They really packed it worth it, we knew if we had taken all these trips individually it would be more expensive.

“It is like you pay for your rent in advance for nine months.”

Andrew added: “I have been able to work on the shop as an editor and do filming for people who need it on board.

“There was a lot of preparation for us to come on board, we have managed to pack a lot of our travel into these nine months.

“We have the whole of our lives to work so we wanted to take this opportunity.”

Celebrity Beyond - April 1, 2024 - 11 Nights

The Celebrity Beyond was built in 2022 and is amoung Celebrity's 23 ships in it's fleet. The Celebrity Beyond is included in the cruise line's Edge class. In the cruise ship stats below you'll find the Celebrity Beyond vs all other Celebrity ships.

Ft. Lauderdale has 23 miles of beaches, 300 miles of inland waterways and swimming pools galore, but immersing yourself in this city doesn't require a drop of water. Dive into a culture as deep as any ocean, a culture characterized by Seminoles and Broadway shows, golf and whimsical water taxis, fine cuisine and tasty jazz. And just like the horizon here, the list of attractions goes on and on.

Take advantage of the many on board activites during your day at sea. You'll have more than enough to fill your day!

George Town is the capital of the Cayman Islands, and is situated directly on Grand Cayman. Once a center of turtle fishing, the area is now a popular tourist destination. Snorkeling and diving are especially popular, and the opportunity to swim with and feed the giant, graceful stingrays should not be missed. Don't worry--it is said that no one has ever been stung.

Once the port where the wealth of the New World flowed back to the Old, Cartagena also served as a notorious base for privateers and pirates. Today, you can stroll the tree-lined Spanish colonial artistry of old in the streets and see the works of the Gold Museum. The port is also a great place to find bargains on emeralds.

Blessed with a non-stop breeze, neat little Oranjestad reflects the Dutch passion for cleanliness. Stroll the town's chic shops, venture out to see the wind-formed divi-divi trees, or visit an undersea garden of brilliant corals on a semi-submersible craft.

Hospitable and always sunny, Curacao bids you a warm welcome. The friendly inhabitants, first class hotels, wonderful climate, crystal clear seawater, fascinating architecture, floating market, pontoon bridge, secluded bays, rich fauna and flora, and the many possibilities for excursions and entertainment make Curacao the tourist's paradise.

Kralendijk is the chief town of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles. Tourism is the economic mainstay, though salt mining is also a significant industry. The island is known for its fine beaches, skin diving, and pink flamingos.
