Cadettes receive their program aide award by earning one leadership in action (lia) award, completing a program aide training at a council-led event or as a troop using the program aide plus activity plan (pdf) and working directly with younger girl scouts at least six times., the program aide plus activity plan is designed for cadettes to work on their own with an adult available for support, for a troop to work on together, or for a service unit to offer the training. the first section of the activity plan is the basic program aide activity plan. the second section covers the role of a service unit event assistant, day camp junior caddie, facilitating flag ceremonies and leading songs and games. activity resources for many of the sessions can be found in the second part of the plan., volunteers leading the activities may customize them to best suit the needs of the girl scouts and the types of activities they are being prepared to lead for troop, service unit events, or day camp activities..

Hey there girl scout go-getter we know when girls participate in the full scope of the girl scout leadership experience – they can take on anything show the world that you are an expert girl scout by completing the 10 key experiences to have a well-rounded girl scout year and earn the ultimate girl scout year award. to earn the ultimate girl scout year award troops/girl scouts will:, meet an average of twice per month* during the school year (during the months the troop meets) hold a family meeting (troops)/meet with your juliette mentor (individually registered girl scouts) keep it girl scout-led complete a leadership journey complete at least one activity or badge from each of the skill-building areas; stem, outdoors, life skills, entrepreneurship explore the outdoors and/or go camping attend a council event, service unit event, or plan a field trip - virtual or in person participate in the girl scout cookie program attend or hold an end-of-year celebration or event participate in at least one summer activity (examples: troop camp, troop meeting, field trip), *note for the 2020-2021 year, troops could meet once per month and meet the ultimate girl scout award requirements..
For: Senior–Ambassador (must be currently enrolled in grade 10)
This award is for girl scouts who mentor a girl scout daisy, brownie, or junior group outside of the camp experience. projects should span 3–6 months., find a mentor volunteer who is currently the adult volunteer for a group of girl scouts at the level you’d like to work with. this volunteer will help you through your training and internship, and you’ll help the volunteer with her group of girl scouts for the 3-6 month period. determine 2-3 goals for this training and what you would like to learn and practice. completed program aide training. (this may have occurred during your cadette years.) create and implement a thoughtful program based on a journey or badge that lasts over four or more sessions. be responsible for designing, planning, and evaluating the activities. if you’re passionate about a topic like art or technology, you could design the activities around the area you love or in which you have expertise..

There are three series of Journeys to choose from at every grade level:
You’ll pick the Journey topic that interests you most, whether it’s caring for animals , helping others get healthy and fit, spreading kindness, saving the planet, taking a stand for girls , creating community—or any other issue that’s really important to you.
As you go on your Journey, you’ll earn awards to put on your uniform. They’ll let others know about the awesome things you’ve done—and remind you of what you accomplished and the fun you had along the way.

Cadette, Senior, Ambassador
Community Service Bars are earned by making a difference in the community and practicing Girl Scout values by volunteering at least 20 hours for an organization. Before starting, you should complete and submit the Community Service Bar Application . Once approved, you should record all the hours you volunteer to share with your Troop Leader, who can purchase the Community Service Bar once you complete it. Learn more in The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting .
Service to Girl Scouting Bars are earned by volunteering at least 20 hours for the Girl Scouts. You might volunteer your time for a special event for younger girls, be an office assistant for your council or service unit, or help with special projects. You should record all the hours you volunteer to share with your Troop Leader, who can purchase the Service to Girl Scouting Bar once you complete.
The Journey Summit Award Pin is earned by girls who have completed three National Leadership Journeys at their grade level. The colored border around each pin corresponds to their grade level. This award can be earned by girls in all program levels: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador. This is the highest award that a Girl Scout Daisy and a Girl Scout Brownie can earn.

This award is earned by earning a Leader in Award (LiA) badge, and assisting younger girls by sharing your skills, passion, and experience over the course of six activity sessions. Learn more in the Program Aide Girl Workbook .

The Girl Scout Global Action Award calls for girls to address the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by discovering, connecting, and taking action in their communities and the world. There are two sets of content: one for younger Girl Scouts (Daisy, Brownie, Juniors) and one for older Girl Scouts (Cadette, Senior, Ambassador). The Global Action award is an official national award, so Girl Scouts can wear it on their vest or sash.
Seniors and Ambassadors
This award is earned by experienced campers by combining their love for the outdoors with their leadership skills and goals. Learn more about our camp leadership programs.
Seniors and Ambassadors
This award is earned by mentoring younger Girl Scouts outside of the camp experience. Your VIT project should span a three-to-six-month period Learn more in The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting .
Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors
This award is given to a Girl Scout who is a leader in her community. To earn the Torch Award , a Girl Scout must complete one Leadership Journey, and serve a full term in a leadership position at her school, place of worship, library, community center, or other organization that is important to her.
All girls who participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program are eligible to earn the annual Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin , which they earn by developing essential business skills.

Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors The Guide Dogs of America patch program is to help Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts facilitate knowledge of raising and caring for specialty guide dogs.
All Levels Most Girl Scouts know that JPL builds rovers and NASA sends astronauts into space. Did you know that NASA and JPL also keep an eye on our home planet – Earth? Understanding Earth from the viewpoint of space helps us understand and connect to our changing world.
All Levels By earning the Justice patch, girls will develop a sense of fairness, and an understanding of why we have laws and how laws can be changed. Girls will also learn how laws are designed to help people, as well as the role of lawyers and judges in the community. Daisies to Ambassadors who want to earn a Justice patch must meet a judge and take a tour of a courthouse.
While courthouses are currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you can still meet a judge and earn a Justice patch! Please email Jan Zari to schedule a virtual meeting with a federal judge.
Brownies and Juniors Brownies and Juniors will learn about, experience, enjoy, and help support the health, welfare, and habitat of marine animals of Southern California.
Juniors Mission Trails is designed for Junior Girl Scouts to learn about life along the Mission Trail and how the blending of cultures contributed to our California heritage.
Brownies The Starry Skies patch program for Brownies teaches girls about astronomy and constellations, while relating them to important issues here on Earth, such as light pollution and space junk. Brownies can earn a patch doing fun, educational activities while working toward completing their Journey: It’s Your World-Change It! Brownie Quest.
All Levels The Tournament of Roses patch program is designed to teach girls about the Tournament of Roses Parade and the preparations required to make it happen, the role of volunteers, and related places of interest in Pasadena.

The prestigious award is earned by qualifying senior or ambassador Girl Scouts who propose and execute a community service project.
Although stiffly bolted to the ground, the garden’s plaque is more interactive than meets the eye. While its engraved words will teach visitors about Gold Star families for years to come, the QR code allows people to leave virtual messages to keep the conversations updated and continuous.
Through her discipline and time management skills, the three ALS schools will continue to use the safe spaces Glass created even after her involvement ends.

Local students receive highest Girl Scouts achievement
(WJBF) – Two local high school students have received the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts….The Gold Award.
Scarlett Glover created informational graphics, built PVC pipe fishing line disposal units, and wrote a children’s book to educate people on how pollution affects the ocean.
Katelyn Williams developed a pamphlet on animal assisted therapy for children, and along with a team created, designed and donated a goat obstacle course to a local farm.
10 middle school students won the silver award and 16 elementary students won the bronze.
