DAY 1 Arrival 

Welcome to Zanzibar! You will be greeted at the airport by our driver. They will take you to your hotel, Zanzibar Queen, in the northeastern village of Matemwe.

Once you arrive, you’ll have free time to settle into your Zanzibar holiday. Maybe wander through the village or soak up some sun on the soft white sands of the seemingly infinite Matemwe beach.

DAY 2 Relax

Today’s your day to enjoy as you please! Relax at the hotel, explore your new surroundings, and arrange your activities for the week.

DAY 3 Zesty Zanzibar & Jozani Forest

This day is all about nature and fresh food! First, take a tour at one of our famous organic spice farms and find out why Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Islands.” Visit a nearby village for a delicious, traditionally cooked lunch. Then, explore the only national park on the island, Jozani Forest, which is home to endangered red colobus monkeys and boasts a beautiful pathway through a mangrove forest.

DAY 4 Mikumi National Park

This morning we have an early departure from Zanzibar Queen to catch an 8:10 Auric Air flight to Dar es Salaam.

From Dar es Salaam airport, we’ll drive to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes 6-7 hours but will include stops for lunch and refreshments in Morogoro town. You’ll arrive at Mikumi National Park in the late afternoon.

There, you’ll join an expertly led game drive through the park. Expect incredible animal sightings in different areas of the park, like the Mkata plain, the Kisungura area, and the hippo dams. Afterwards, we’ll head to our lodge for dinner and our overnight stay.

Inclusions: – Accommodation: Mikumi Bandas – Full Board (lunch & dinner) – Safari car (4WD with open top) and guide – Entrance fee to national park – Local flight ZNZ-DAR and airport transfer

DAY 5 Udzungwa & Masai village

After an early breakfast, we drive to Udzungwa National Park for a trail trek to the magnificent Sanje waterfalls. Soak up the spectacular natural beauty of the park and cool off with a refreshing swim at the base of the falls.

Afterwards, immerse yourself in Masai cultural traditions. We’ll visit a Masai village, where you’ll watch a cultural dance, visit authentic Masai houses (Boma), and learn about everyday life in the community. Take your time browsing Masai handicrafts for the perfect souvenir to take home.

In the evening we’ll return to the lodge for a sunset dinner.

DAY 6 Mikumi National Park

The best time to see animals is in the early morning, so it’s another early day today! After breakfast, we’ll head out on a game drive (up to 5 hours) through the park.

Then, enjoy a scenic drive back to Dar es Salaam, with a stop for lunch in Morogoro town (2 hours’ driving time from Mikumi National Park). We’ll arrive late in the evening, and you’ll be dropped off directly at your Hyatt hotel.

DAY 7 Transfer back to Zanzibar

After a lazy morning at the hotel with a delicious breakfast buffet, we’ll drive you to the airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.

From Zanzibar airport we’ll take you to the Emerson on Hurumzi hotel in Stone Town. In the evening, you’ll have some free time to explore the historic town and indulge in a delicious dinner — there are plenty of tasty places to choose from!

DAY 8 Stone Town and departure

Close out your Zanzibar experience with a tour and lunch in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide will take you to see all the main sites, both contemporary and historical, including the Sultans Palace Museum and the Old Slave Market.

Your tour finishes at noon. Your driver will pick you up from your hotel reception and bring you to Zanzibar airport for your flight back home.

Although a tourism hub, Zanzibar island is largely of Muslim religion.  When not on the beach or lazing around your hotel, be mindful to dress respectfully and revere the local traditions.  The friendly nature of locals embrace greeting as an important cultural nuance, so learn a few local greetings and use them liberally.  Island time is a little slower than Western time.  When in Zanzibar, be prepared to embrace the laid-back pace of life.  This might mean waiting a little longer for your food, and not getting anywhere on the scheduled time, but we guarantee that clock-watching won’t get you anywhere around here.

The Soul of Africa

It’s not just the environment, but the cultural diversity which is one of Tanzania’s most pleasant and refreshing surprises. Tanzania is an East African country, four times the size of the United Kingdom, that is famous for its vast wilderness areas and for being one of the best wildlife destinations in the world. The country has an extraordinary history, coupled with an abundance of natural wonders and is home to 8 World Heritage Sites!

Tanzania is most famous for its annual migration of over 1 million White-bearded Wildebeest and 200 000 Zebra. The Serengeti National Park covers 14,763km of grassland plains and savannah, as well as riverine forest and woodlands. Many have said that it is almost impossible to miss the “Big 5” here. The country enjoys high concentrations of elephant and giraffe, while its rivers and lakes contain massive populations of hippos and crocodiles and are often tinged pink with thousands of flamingos.

Home to Mount Kilimanjaro; bordered by idyllic beaches; and surrounded by three of the world’s most magnificent lakes (Lake Tanganyika, Lake Nyasa and Lake Victoria), this country simply must be experienced for its sheer volume and diversity of landscapes, flora and fauna. The spectacular Ngorongoro Crater is an ethereal blue and green vista, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses the highest density of lions and other predators in all of Africa.

The magical islands of Zanzibar and Mafia Island lie offshore, with a marine park home to whale sharks and coral reefs.

Qui sommes nous?

Nous sommes Samantha et Mosson les directeurs de l'agence Bonjour Tanzania Voyages et de sa filiale Bonjour Zanzibar sur l'île.

Nous avons ouvert Bonjour Tanzania en Février 2023, riches de nos expériences individuelles.

Samantha a travaillé pour un guide sur l'île pendant 7ans.

Mosson est guide de safari professionnel, il a exercé dans de nombreux parcs comme le Selous, Serengeti, Gombe …

Nous nous sommes très vite entendus sur l'agence que nous voulions ouvrir avec des valeurs fortes et Bonjour Tanzania est née!
