The Eagles have added a South Florida stop to their farewell tour, The Long Goodbye, performing at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on Friday, March 1.

Tickets start at $206+ and will be available this week via a venue presale running from 10 a.m. Wednesday through 10 p.m. Thursday. For information, visit the Hard Rock Facebook , Instagram and Twitter pages.

The general ticket on-sale begins at 10 a.m. Friday at MyHRL.com .

The Eagles — whose country-rock sound defined rock radio and the pop charts from the outset with an eponymous 1972 debut album that included hits “Take It Easy,” “Witchy Woman” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling” — will be joined on the tour by another titan of that era’s soundtrack, Steely Dan.

The Eagles include longtime members Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, joined by Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, son of founding member Glenn Frey, who died in 2016.

Bassist and vocalist Randy Meisner, another founding member of the band, died on July 26 at age 77.

The tour is expected to continue into 2025, and promoters say the Eagles will perform “as many shows in each market as their audience demands.” Multiple cities have had extra concerts added due to “overwhelming demand,” including New York, Boston, Denver and Atlanta. So get to work, South Florida.

The Eagles announce farewell tour: 'The time has come for us to close the circle'

eagles farewell tour florida

The Eagles will embark on their own long road out of Eden this fall for a farewell tour expected to last into 2025.

"We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful," the band said in a statement. "Everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle."

Dubbed The Long Goodbye, the Eagles' final shows will kick off Sept. 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Only the first handful of dates are being announced with Boston (Sept. 11), Denver (Oct. 5), Atlanta (Nov. 2) and St. Paul, Minnesota (Nov. 17) among them.

Presale tickets and VIP packages go on sale July 12; the general on-sale begins 10 a.m. local time July 14.

Also along for the jaunt will be Steely Dan, longtime contemporaries of the band who will commemorate their own five-decade-plus career.

In announcing their plans to end their "52-year odyssey," the Eagles – composed of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit – noted they will play as many shows in each market as the audience demands, even if it requires returning to certain cities. The band will be joined onstage, as they have since the 2016 death of founding member Glenn Frey, by Vince Gill and Frey's son, Deacon.

Shortly after Frey's death at the age of 67, Henley indicated the Eagles would no longer tour. But following a pair of special classic-rock-focused festivals in 2017 – Classic West and Classic East, organized by their longtime manager Irving Azoff – they resumed regular live performances.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and six-time Grammy winners have played more than 1,000 concerts throughout their 50 years of touring. Their recently wrapped Hotel California Tour – named for their landmark 1976 album, which they played in its entirety with a backing orchestra – grossed about $250 million over 90 shows, according to music industry trade publication Pollstar.

In thanking fans for their years of support, the band concluded, "This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on."

Who will be onstage for The Eagles performances?

Steely Dan, longtime contemporaries of the band who will commemorate their own five-decade-plus career, will be part of the tour.

The Eagles — composed of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit — will be joined onstage, as they have since the  2016 death of founding member  Glenn Frey, by Vince Gill and Frey's son, Deacon.

Who has skipped over Florida on their most recent tours?

Multiple artists have breezed past Florida on their recent tours and opted for other southern cities. Not everyone can make the drive up to Atlanta or New Orleans to see their favorite artist, which means a concert also includes buying a plane ticket and a hotel room for the night.

Whether it's for logistics or not enough, here are some artists who didn't come to Florida on their current or most recent tour:

  • Olivia Rodrigo : The "Vampire " songstress broke streaming records and won multiple Grammys for her 2021 debut album "Sour." However, when it came to her first headlining tour in 2022, it came as a brutal surprise for Florida fans to see zero stops for us. There is hope that the 21-year-old will finally perform in Florida when she tours with her sophomore album this September, "Guts."
  • Boygenius : The trio — composed of indie powerhouses Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus — set off on tour earlier this summer to promote their album "the record." Clips of the singers performing their hit songs and joking around on stage have gone viral on social media. Yet, Florida is nowhere on their tour date schedule and is left out of the inside jokes.
  • Foo Fighters : The Seattle-based rock bank is currently touring internationally. They returned this year to the scene with " But Here We Are ," their first album since the sudden death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022. During the U.S. leg of the tour, there were no Florida dates.
  • Metallica : The iconic American heavy metal band is taking their M72 world tour to the U.S. in August in New Jersey. It promises over 77 minutes of music with 12 new songs for fans to bang their heads to. Despite the long list of cities and venues, Florida didn't make the list.
  • Dead & Company : Heading off on their final tour , the impressive line-up of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann, along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chiment have left off Florida on their last stops. It is also worth noting they canceled their previous 2021 Florida tour dates due to routing and production logistics. After soaring for more than 50 years, the Eagles announced their farewell tour Thursday.

The "Eagles: The Long Goodbye" final tour is a 13-city farewell with special guest Steely Dan, but it doesn't include any Florida dates – at least for now.

"Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed," the band said in a statement on its website . "But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle."

The current iteration of Eagles band members will feature Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit and Vince Gill.

Also joining the farewell tour will be Deacon Frey, son of the late founding member Glenn Frey, who died in 2016. Deacon Frey, who took over after his father's death, announced last year that he was leaving the band .

Currently, the closest concert date to Florida is in Atlanta, but the band promises to add more dates as new venues are booked.

"We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round," the band said. "So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up."

The Eagles will begin their tour Sept. 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Their last date is Nov. 17 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

'Eagles: The Long Goodbye' Tour Dates

The band performed in Jacksonville and Tampa earlier this year as part of its "Hotel California" tour.

Tickets for the farewell tour will go on sale beginning July 14.

Aerosmith reschedules Peace Out farewell tour: Dates for 3 Florida shows, how to get tickets

Florida Aerosmith fans will wait just a bit longer to finally say peace out  to the iconic rock band.

The rockers, who postponed their Peace Out farewell tour  after only a few shows in September, will return for a 40-date run starting Sept. 20 of this year.

Three Florida shows are included in this new schedule, all seeing dates in the early half of 2025. As with the original dates,  The Black Crowes  will open for Aerosmith.

When are the new Florida dates for Aerosmith's 'Peace Out' farewell tour? They also added an extra city

The new dates for the Florida shows are:

  • Friday, Feb. 14 - Tampa, Amelie Arena
  • Monday, Feb. 17 - Sunrise, Amerant Bank Arena

In addition to rescheduling the tour, the band added three cities: Pittsburgh, Orlando and Philadelphia, where their tour kicked off last September.

The Orlando date is Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Kia Arena, recently renamed from the Amway Center.

Why did Aerosmith have to postpone 2023 tour dates? What happened to Steven Tyler?

On Sept. 12, Tyler initially  announced  that he had a severe vocal injury that occurred during Aerosmith's Saturday show in Long Island, New York.

“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” Tyler, 75, said in a  statement  released by the band on Monday. “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.

However, the band shared in a statement two weeks later that said “Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”

They shared the rock icon was receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but "given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”

I bought tickets to Aerosmith's 2023 shows. Will my tickets be honored?

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates, while tickets for the new shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time April 12 via  ticketmaster.com .

For those who previously purchased tickets and cannot attend the rescheduled concerts, refunds will be available at point of purchase. A series of VIP packages are also available at  aerosmith.com/VIP.

What songs can fans expect to hear at Aerosmith’s farewell shows?

USA TODAY attended the opening show in Philadelphia last year. While there could be changes to the set list, here's what it looked like prior to the postponement:

  • "Back in the Saddle"
  • "Love in an Elevator"
  • "Janie's Got a Gun"
  • "Adam's Apple"
  • "Livin' on the Edge"
  • "No More No More"
  • "Hangman Jury"
  • "Seasons of Wither"
  • "Movin' Out"
  • "Stop Messin' Around"
  • "Rats in the Cellar"
  • "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing"
  • "Sweet Emotion"
  • "Toys in the Attic"
  • "Walk This Way"

Are all original Aerosmith members on tour?

Original drummer  Joey Kramer  will be sitting out the band's final tour. John Douglas, Aerosmith's former drum tech, is filling Kramer's seat.

“While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed,” the band said in a statement.

However, fans can look forward to Tyler's yowl and his fellow Toxic Twin, Joe Perry, on the guitar. Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton remain on guitar and bass.
