Collyer Campus Virtual Tour

Mar 28, 2024, arise & build update.

“Can you see it?”

It is a question about the intangible—do you have eyes to see what God has called us to? Can you see how He has positioned this house to be part of the continued expansion of His kingdom?

It's also a practical question—can you see buildings where there are none? Can you hear the music, feel God’s presence, see the people fully abandoned? Can you envision what it will be like to be there together?

We have spent years envisioning this place and so many of you have sown into what you have never seen. Now, through this animated video, we are excited to bring this practical vision of our future on the new Collyer Campus to life. Click below to watch.

Now that you can see it, the question becomes “Can you see yourself in it?”

As you watch the video and activate your imagination with the Lord, we invite you to ask Him about your role in this new era. How are you called to partner with this vision?

Here are three ways you can take action now.

Bethel University Admissions Offers Virtual Campus Tours

MISHAWAKA – Late spring and summer are usually high-traffic times for incoming college freshmen to take advantage of university tours while they are deciding which college they will attend the following semester. Lockdowns due to COVID-19 and the subsequent university closures are impacting the way that these tours are conducted; since in-person tours are currently not an option, universities are relying on virtual resources to help students commit to their campuses for the fall.

Bethel University Director of Admissions Stephanie Hochstetler said that the Admissions Department is currently communicating with students who had signed up for a campus visit. The students are being encouraged to view the virtual tour that is offered on  betheluniversity.edu  and to connect with professors, coaches, and counselors through Zoom or phone call; Admissions encourages all future Pilots to connect with campus in these ways.

Since it remains unclear how COVID-19 may impact fall 2020 semester, Hochstetler says that it is too early to predict exactly how the incoming class may be affected. She also adds that as a community, Bethel is preparing for all possible scenarios.

Despite the uncertainty, Bethel’s application goals have not been affected. In April 2019, Bethel was 77% to their application goal; this year, Bethel is 77.42% of the way to the application goal. The Admissions Department is seeing a slight increase in students who are having issues completing their file because high schools have closed and national tests are being halted, but the admissions team is working to remove barriers that could discourage students from completing their application file.

“I’m so appreciative of all the work that has been done across campus to move Bethel forward during this time,” Hochstetler said. “Our team is working hard to bring in a new class, but recruitment doesn’t work if only one office is on board. We’ve been blessed by countless others across campus who have helped us continue to connect with future Pilots daily.”

Common Questions About Visiting The Bethel College Campus

How far in advance do I need to schedule my visit?

Because we customize each visit, we ask that you contact us  5 to 7 business days  before you’d like to come. This gives our campus visit coordinator time to arrange any appointments and ensure that a tour guide is available.

What happens if I need to cancel my visit?

Please e-mail [email protected] or call the admissions office at (800) 522-1887, ext. 230.

May I bring a friend?

Yes! Many students like to schedule their visits with a friend. Please let us know in advance and have your friend’s contact information available when making the appointment.

Are parents included?

Yes! Parents often take the campus tour, go to lunch and participate in the admissions and financial aid appointments. If you are visiting overnight, we can recommend several nearby hotels for your parents and they can join you on campus the following day.

If I decide to spend the night, where will I sleep?

Bethel College has a select group of student ambassadors who host prospective students overnight. They have private rooms in the residence halls with an extra bed for you.

May I stay with my friend who is a current student?

We like you to stay with one of our student ambassadors because their rooms are equipped with an extra bed, and we know how to reach them in case of a scheduling change. However, if you would prefer to stay with another student, please let us know when you’re coming, and we’ll schedule the other components of a day visit while you’re here.

Do I need to bring money for meals?

Admissions will provide you with free meals in our campus dining facilities while you are on campus.

Have more questions? E-mail  [email protected]  or call our office at (800) 522-1887 ext. 230 or (316) 284-5230. We look forward to hearing from you!
