Swifties waiting with bated breath have had their prayers answered, with Taylor Swift finally revealing the Australian dates on her Eras world concert tour.

The pop star will be journeying down under for five dates in February 2024.

However, Swift fans on a budget might be in store for a Cruel Summer as the top VIP packages are being sold for $1,249.99 .

For reference, the most recent ATO data from 2020-2021 puts the median Australian taxable income at  $980 per week .

The top VIP package, officially known as the It's Been A Long Time Coming package secures fans "One Unforgettable A Reserve Floor Ticket", four prints of the artist, a tote bag, a pin, a tour lanyard and a sticker and postcard set.

The other five VIP packages contain identical extras but gradually worsening seats from B Reserve to E Reserve and cost from $349.99 and $899.90 .

An A Reserve ticket by itself is $379.90 – a difference of $870 from the VIP package with the same ticket tier.

More wallet-conscious Swift fans can pay between $309.90 for B Reserve tickets down to $79.90 for a spot in the G reserve seats in the nosebleeds.

Last time Swift took a tour of Australia in 2018, the top VIP packages set fans back about $820 and included a personal message from Swift, a hardcover book and a CD.

Taylor Swift told her 112 million Instagram followers that she was voting for the Democrats.

The Eras tour will treat fans to songs from Swift's first album right up to her latest LP, Midnights. ( Reuters: Simon Dawson )

Which Australian cities are on Taylor Swift's Eras tour?

In terms of how many cities she's visiting, the tour is pretty small.

Swift won't even complete a full east coast tour for her Australian Eras leg, stopping only at Sydney for three nights and Melbourne for two nights .

This is the first time Swift has skipped Brisbane in five tour cycles.

She played in Brisbane and Perth when she came to Australia last time, which was her Reputation tour back in 2018.

How many tickets will go on sale?

We don't have exact figures.

The capacity for the MCG, where Swift is performing two Melbourne shows, is more than 100,000 people .

Sydney's Accor stadium, where she will be playing three shows, has a capacity of 83,500 .

Which means there could be some 450,000 tickets up for sale.

Having a truncated Australian tour means Swift won't come near the record of most tickets sold for an Australian tour after Ed Sheeran shifted over 1 million tickets to his 2018 divide tour.

Sheeran performed 18 stadium shows across the country to achieve the feat.

How do you get tickets to Taylor Swift's Australian Eras tour?

Judging by the reaction to tickets for the US, it might be a tricky feat getting your hands on one.

In November last year, Ticketmaster cancelled the public sale of Swift's US tour "due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand".

Ticketmaster pinned it on its "verified fans" system , aimed at eliminating bots and scalpers, which couldn't keep up with the demand as a reported 3.5 million people tried to get tickets.

Swift's Australian Eras tour doesn't rely on the verified fans system but if you're forking out hundreds for the VIP packages you will be able to access tickets sooner.

The first tickets go on pre-sale on June 26 , but there are a few catches.

To access these tickets you have to hold an American Express card and fork out for one of the top two VIP packages — so, the most expensive tickets.

The Frontier Member pre-sale , which has a much lower bar of entry, begins on June 28 and finally, the general public will be able to buy tickets from 2pm local time on June 30 .

However, If you manage to get your hands on tickets next week, you're not going to receive anything until a week before your show.

This is called ticket suppression and it aims to dissuade scalpers from buying up tickets and reselling them.

There's also a purchase limit of four tickets per transaction.

Which Australian Cities Will Taylor Swift Visit?

Brace yourselves – one bit of news about Taylor’s upcoming Aussie tour isn’t the greatest.

In 2023 The Courier Mail reported that “sources” say Taylor will only be performing in Sydney and Melbourne.

The sources revealed that the popstar would be skipping Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide because of “time constraints and travel costs.”

And it looks like the news was true!

Missed out on Taylor Swift tickets? Here are your next steps

With two separate presale events now finished and the general sale sold out – it’s safe to say many Swifties missed out. And it’s nothing to do with you, we promise! Turns out Ticketek’s waiting lounge didn’t queue fans chronologically.

“Everyone in the Ticketek lounge has an equal opportunity to get into the site regardless of when they have arrived,” Adrian Digiacoma, a representative at Ticketek told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

This explains why some people only waited 20 minutes for tickets, whilst others who jumped on early never got through.

Fortunately for Swifties that missed out, Ticketek has released one last saving grace, with a new batch of partially obstructed side view tickets going on sale from 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 13.

Ticket prices will start at $65.90 for H Reserve and will go up to $379.90 for A Reserve, with a strict limit of four tickets per customer. The resale also includes access to a variety of last-minute VIP packages and hotel and ticket packages, so be sure to join the queue here for your final chance to secure Eras Tour tickets!

If you missed out on the final flash sale, there’s still hope! In good news to literally everyone, Ticketek has opened their fan-to-fan resale for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour on Ticketek Marketplace.

The sale, which kicked off at 10 a.m. AEDT on Friday, November 24th, will give Swifties who still haven’t got their hands on tickets the opportunity to purchase verified resale tickets from other fans who have purchased their Eras Tour tickets through Ticketek during the prior general sales and now wish to sell their ticket.

You can purchase your Eras Tour resale tickets here.

Do you need to bring a clear bag to the Eras Tour?

As Taylor’s Aussie tour dates inch closer and closer, Frontier Touring has announced a few important details to ensure all fans have a great time.

Gates will open at 4:40 pm and there is no reason to arrive earlier since all seating will be allocated. The Show will start at 6:20 pm.

You do not need a clear bag. Just make sure your bag is no larger than A4 in size.

Download your ticket on the Ticketek app and do not bring iPads, GoPros, tripods, selfie sticks or drones.

Friendship bracelets are allowed but must be worn on patrons’ arms. Signs must be smaller than 28cm-45cm.

More information can be found here .

Did Taylor release new music ahead of her Eras Tour?

Yes! On March 17, Taylor released four new tracks ahead of the start of her tour. Tay took to Instagram to announce the release of four new singles, including  Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version) ,  Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version) ,  If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version)  and  All Of the Girls You’ve Loved Before.

Read our full update about her new music – and listen to the tracks! –  here .

During her appearance at the Grammys in February 2024, Taylor surprised everyone, announcing a brand new album titled The Tortured Poets Department, which is set to be released on April 19.

Who is Taylor Swift’s support act?

Joining the pop star, at least for the US leg, will be: Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, beabadoobee, Gracie Abrams, GAYLE and OWENN.

Eras will mark Taylor’s first tour in five years, following her 2018 Reputation concert. That year’s highest-grossing music tour by a female artist saw the Getaway Car songstress joined by Charli XCX, Camila Cabello and more.

In Australia, Taylor will be supported by Sabrina Carpenter.

When was Taylor’s last tour?

Taylor was meant to tour again in 2020 with Loverfest , but her plans were thwarted by COVID-19.

“This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future,” she said in 2021.

Since 2018 – and the Reputation  tour – Taylor has built her discography substantially, releasing four new albums and two re-releases.

New music includes the albums:  Lover , Folklore , Evermore and, most recently, Midnights , while the re-releases include Taylor’s Versions of the old records   Fearless   and   Red.

The re-releases also included a slew of previously unheard ‘From The Vault’ tracks, meaning that the 33-year-old has dropped a total of 90 new songs, not including collaborations with HAIM, Big Red Machine, etc.

What Other Countries Will Taylor Visit?

Initially, the Eras tour was slated for US locations only .

When Taylor announced the tour back in November 2022, she wrote, “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!).

“The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!”

Fast forward to May 2023 and the first round of international dates were (finally) announced.

On May 2, 2023, Taylor shared the news that she would bring Eras to Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.

To top it off, she also announced that none other than Sabrina Carpenter would be the support act for the Latin American shows. Does it get much better than that?

Are Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide Getting Eras Tour Dates?

Taylor Swift has announced shows for Sydney and Melbourne only. Luckily, there are multiple dates in big stadiums, so if you live outside of those cities, now is the time to start saving for a trip to Sydney or Melbourne!

Will Any More Dates Be Announced For Australia?

Yes! Following presale, Taylor Swift announced two more dates for the Eras Tour, one in Sydney (Monday 26 Feb 2024) and in Melbourne (Sunday 18 Feb 2024).

Who Is The Support Act for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia?

Supporting Taylor for her Australian dates is none other than Sabrina Carpenter. The American singer has recently wrapped her own headline US tour, Emails I Can’t Send Tour and was recently announced as the support act for Taylor’s Latin America tour dates. When Will Taylor Swift Be Coming To Australia?

adelaide eras tour

Taylor Swift in her Reputation era for the Eras Tour.

As mentioned, Taylor’s US tour is slated to end in August 2023, from there she’ll be heading to Latin America, and won’t be in Australia until February 2024. Swift has been to Australia for every single ‘World Tour’ since Fearless .

There’s no doubt that it will be worth the wait though, just to hear the singer say, “Hi, I’m Taylor” before diving head first into the show opener ‘Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince’.

Which cities will Taylor Swift go to in Australian Eras Tour?

adelaide eras tour

Oh please go to Brisbane Tay Tay!

Taylor Swift has attended at least Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in previous World Tours, with Perth and Adelaide getting alternating slots over the years.

However, for the Eras Tour Swift will only play in Sydney and Melbourne, on four nights for Sydney and three for Melbourne.

Naturally, this has fans everywhere in a tizzy. However, before you start crying in your bed to ‘Never Grow Up’, it’s important to remember that it’s great news Swift will be playing in such large capacity stadiums. So light a candle and start a vigil for those tickets.

Will Any More Dates Be Announced For Australia?

Yes! Taylor Swift announced two more Australian Eras Tour dates on June 29, 2023, one in Sydney (February 26, 2024) and one in Melbourne (February 18, 2024). As we understand it, she’s unlikely to add any extra weekends to her Australian tour as she needs to jet off for her next set of shows overseas.

Who Is The Support Act for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia?

adelaide eras tour

Taylor Swift will play, supported by Sabrina Carpenter, for the ‘Eras Tour’ in Latin America.

Good news for Taylor Swift fans, the support act will be none other than American singer Sabrina Carpenter. Known for her hit album Emails I Can’t Send , the singer is also the main support act for Swift’s Latin American tour.

Fans of Taylor will likely enjoy Carpenter’s songs if they don’t already, with the singer well-known for her honest lyricism and can’t-help-but-tap-your-feet rhythms.

How To Get Tickets to Taylor Swift’s Australian Eras Tour Dates?

Now that we know the tour is confirmed, it’s important to understand how to get your hands on those precious tickets.

TAYLOR SWIFT WILL BE HEADING TO MEXICO AND SOUTH AMERICA FIRST

On May 2, Swift announced that the first round of international dates would bring the Eras Tour to Latin America.

“Really thrilled to tell you this!! Mexico, Argentina and Brazil: We are bringing The Eras Tour to you this year! Sweet angel princess Sabrina Carpenter will be joining us on all of the shows!” she wrote on Instagram.

It’s a sweet gesture that Swift is prioritising Latin America in her Eras Tour, given she has only toured North America, Europe, Australia and Asia in her previous tours.

Where Else Is Taylor Swift Playing Internationally?

Taylor Swift will finish out 2023 in Latin America before moving to Japan in 2024 to start the new Asia/Oceania leg of her tour, which includes Japan, Australia and Singapore, before she darts to Europe.

Her European leg is slightly more extensive, starting in Paris, then Sweden, Lisbon, Madrid, Lyon, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirken, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw, Vienna with two more shows in London to finish.

Excess demand has led organisers to add one last-minute round of new tickets. By Ella Sangster and Dani Maher

adelaide eras tour

WHEN TICKETS TO the highly-anticipated Australian leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour went on sale in June, chaos ensued. Major scrambling and group-chat-planning occurred, but in what felt like the blink of an eye, the last of the coveted tickets were snapped up, leaving many eager fans empty-handed.

Since then, those unlucky fans have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of further available tickets through resale platforms — but now, even better news has come their way, as Frontier Touring has announced one last sweep of tickets will be released for eager fans, just days before Swift is set to touchdown in Australia.

It’s an exciting announcement for those many fans who missed out on earlier tickets when they went on sale in June. With only five original shows — two in Melbourne and three in Sydney — and 450,000 tickets available at the first release, there were always going to be fans left brokenhearted. And even when two new dates were added and the general sale began, many Swifties missed out.

Below, discover everything to know about securing tickets to the Australian leg of Taylor Swift’s tour — including all the details about the last round of tickets going on sale on February 13.

Are there new Taylor Swift Australian tickets available?

Yes, new tickets for the Melbourne and Sydney Eras Tour have been announced as of February 13. Frontier Touring shared this morning that “with the show setup now underway it has been confirmed that limited tickets, including restricted view tickets at $65.90, can be released for sale”.

The tickets — which will be available in an even more limited quantity than before — will be available for all of Swift’s Australian tour dates. The last round of tickets will go on sale here on Tuesday, February 13 at 2pm for all Melbourne concerts, and at 4pm for all Sydney concerts.

It’s sure to be a bloodbath once again — so be sure to log in to your Ticketek account early to pre-load your card details and ensure a smooth as possible process should you be lucky enough to make it through the queue. Once you’ve arrived on the landing page, stay calm and don’t refresh to avoid losing your place in the line. Good luck!

When will Taylor Swift resale tickets go on sale in Australia?

Second-hand tickets are available via Ticketek’s official resale platform, Marketplace — but bear in mind that it’s no easy feat to score even those. “Please note authorised resale tickets are extremely scarce and availability is subject to other fans listing their tickets for resale,” Ticketek have written on the waiting page for Marketplace.

Initially, the Taylor Swift resale was scheduled to open on September 4, however, Frontier rescheduled that date to Friday, November 24. On the platform, strict measures have been introduced to avoid scalping, with tickets unable to be resold for more than 10 per cent above the original price.

What happened when Taylor Swift Australia tickets originally went on sale?

The tickets for Swift’s Australian Eras tour first went on sale in June 2023. The scramble to nab tickets in the Frontier Touring presale event was intense, with more than four million fans reportedly attempting to secure their spot at one of the shows in Sydney or Melbourne.

Nine reported that the number of people who were in the online queue to access tickets set an all-time record for Ticketek. For the most part, the retailer’s site held up despite the traffic, although some users did report glitches or strange on-site happenings. Sydney tickets sold out just before 2pm on the day of the presale following “unprecedented demand.” Melbourne presale opened at 2pm and also swiftly sold out.

In response to the demand, two new dates were added, with one extra in each city. But as the clock ticked by for the general sale, more and more Swift fans went broken-hearted without securing Eras tickets.

Then on September 7, news broke that there would be one more shot for securing tickets. But those hopes for new opportunities were dashed just as quickly as they arose, as Frontier Touring have issued a statement denying that any new  Eras Tour  tickets will be available for purchase.

According to news.com.au, Accor (the hospitality group who own the naming rights to Accor Stadium where the Eras Tour will take place in Sydney) announced it would be selling new category A and suite package tickets for all four of the Sydney shows. The catch, however, was that the tickets would only be available to purchase using Accor Reward points via Accor’s Live Limitless program — 12,000 for the category A tickets, and 35,000 for suite packages. To enter in a points auction would cost 1000 points. However, in a statement issued on Thursday afternoon, Frontier Touring clarified that no further tickets would be available, despite the reports.

“Frontier Touring wish to advise that stories in the media today that Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets will be available through the ACCOR Live Limitless program are incorrect,” the statement read. “ACCOR is not approved for this activity and have confirmed they will be removing this offer immediately. We remind fans that the only safe — and approved — avenue to secure tickets is through the official ticketing agency for the tour, Ticketek.”

What is going on with the Australian Taylor Swift tour?

Tickets to the Eras Tour start at a respectable $79.90 for G Reserve and max out at $1249.90 for the largest VIP Package.

However, the costs didn’t end once fans had secured a ticket. Given Swift is only touring two cities along the East Coast, fans from interstate and New Zealand have had to fork out for flights and accommodation, too. When Swift took her tour to Chicago earlier this month, the weekend saw Chicago book the most hotel rooms on record, with occupancy averaging 96.8 per cent. Naturally, Aussie fans are already ahead, with some reportedly locking in accommodation as early as eight months out from the shows.

That demand posed another problem for those out-of-towners who were lucky enough to score a ticket, as fans report that affordably-priced accommodation quickly already sold out, along with flights.

“Have been looking at accommodation and there is literally nothing left. I didn’t even think about this,” wrote one Twitter user after securing tickets.

“Flights from Perth to Syd jumped to $2k for those dates, let alone accommodation. Scabs everywhere,” another vented.

“Okay, did not expect flights from New Zealand to Sydney to skyrocket like this! How did we not think about this before!” wrote yet another.

Virgin Australia released a statement on the issue, noting “We have seen a whopping 656 per cent increase in bookings to Melbourne and Sydney for Taylor Swift’s concert dates following the ticket release on Wednesday”.

“Swifties based in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide are leading the interstate fanfare with the most booked fares across the concert dates. Bookings are expected to increase again following the second ticket release today.”

The dedication is so strong that an Aussie fan told 9Honey they’d dipped into their housing deposit fund to afford tickets for the first American Express presale.

Why? The answer is simple: It’s Taylor .

One New Zealand-based Stuff culture reporter wrote that she’d already purchased flights for Swift’s Sydney show — prior to the sale going live.

She wrote: “I don’t mind the amount of money I’ll end up spending, or even the Australians I’ll have to interact with — the hope of seeing the person who has shaped my life for 15 years would convince me to do anything.”

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour declared a major event in Victoria

In huge news for die-hard fans, the Victorian government has declared Swift’s Melbourne shows a major event. The Andrews government declared the MCG shows on February 16 and 17, 2024, as a major event under the Major Events Act 2009.

The move was intended to protect fans from scalpers, who buy tickets with the intention to resell them with exorbitant price increases for profit.

“By making a major event ticketing declaration for the concerts, fans are protected from being ripped off by ticket scalpers, ensuring that tickets are available at a fair price,” a statement from the state government read. “Under the legislation, tickets to a declared major event can’t be advertised for resale or resold for more than 10 per cent above their original value.”

“In addition to this, ticket package sellers are required to be authorised by the event organiser, and individual ticket advertisements must also include ticket and seating details.”

The office added that breaches of this legislation could result in fines between $925 and $554,760.

You don't need to calm down: new tickets for taylor swift's australian 'eras' tour shows are going on sale.

It's happening again — days before she hits Australia, additional tickets for Taylor Swift's Melbourne and Sydney gigs are being released.

You Don't Need to Calm Down: New Tickets for Taylor Swift's Australian 'Eras' Tour Shows Are Going on Sale

Last chance, Swifties: just days away from Taylor Swift's first Eras  gigs in Melbourne, more tickets to the entire Australia leg of the singer's tour are going on sale. If you missed out when her Aussie visit was first announced, then when extra shows were added  and also when the first batch of new tickets were released , you'll be wishing on your friendship bracelets that your luck comes through now.

The additional ticket drop comes as setting up Swifts shows is underway, meaning that exactly which seats are spare has been worked out. Some have restricted views, and will cost only $65.90. There's tickets available for all shows, going on sale on today,  Tuesday, February 13.

Folks eager to attend this weekend's shows at the MCG in Melbourne — which take place between Friday, February 16–Sunday, February 18 — will want to try to grab tickets at 2pm AEDT on Tuesday, February 13. In Sydney, for dates across Friday, February 23–Monday, February 26 at Accor Stadium, you'll be getting clicking at 4pm AEDT on Tuesday, February 13.

Perhaps it won't be a cruel summer after all for Swift fans who've haven't nabbed tickets so far. When Sydney and Melbourne stops for Swift's career-spanning showcase were announced in June 2023, it sparked a rush for seats. Indeed, before general sales even started, the 'We Are Never Getting Back Together', 'Shake It Off' and 'Bad Blood' musician had announced an extra gig in both cities. And, the Victorian Government even declared her Melbourne stint a major event so that anti-scalping legislation would apply to tickets.

It's Swift's world and we're just living in it at the moment. She was a major feature of this year's Super Bowl . Melbourne is getting a pop-up offsite merch store ahead of her MCG concerts . Both Aussie stadiums hosting her tour are doing presales on merchandise in advance . And the Victorian capital is also extending its free tram zone to the MCG to help the 86,000 people expected each night to get to the shows.

adelaide eras tour

If you manage to snap up a ticket in the new drop and fill that blank space in your calendar, you'll see Swift working through her entire career so far, playing tracks from each of her studio albums in a three-hour, 44-song, ten-act spectacular.

This is Swift's first tour Down Under since 2018, when she brought her Reputation shows to not only Sydney and Melbourne, but Brisbane and Perth, too. And if you're wondering what's in store, then you clearly haven't seen Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour as a movie, aka a concert film of her latest shows that hit cinemas Down Under last October , digital in December and is on its way to Disney+ in March .

Didn't score tickets for Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour?

Never fear -- the culturally defining juggernaut will hit movie theaters with a concert film released on October 13.

"The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I'm overjoyed to tell you that it'll be coming to the big screen soon," Swift said on social media Thursday.

"Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged."

The giant AMC movie chain is vowing that each of its theaters across the United States will play the film at least four times a day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Tickets are on sale now.

The company said it had upgraded its website and ticketing services to "handle more than five times the largest influx of ticket-buying traffic the Company has ever experienced before."

"But AMC is also aware that no ticketing system in history seems to have been able to accommodate the soaring demand from Taylor Swift fans," the statement added, warning that customers may experience delays and outages.

Earlier this year botched sales for Swift's wildly popular tour wreaked havoc, prompting a congressional hearing over Ticketmaster's purported anti-competitive practices.

And while "Eras" tickets reached thousands of dollars, fans will be able to nab movie viewings at $19.89 for adults, $13.13 for children and seniors, plus tax.

As of Thursday morning, the website for AMC showed that opening weekend tickets in the New York area were already close to selling out.

A few hours after Swift's announcement, the release of Universal's sequel to horror classic "The Exorcist" was pushed up a week to avoid clashing with the concert film.

"Look what you made me do. The Exorcist: Believer moves to 10/6/23 #TaylorWins," producer Jason Blum posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The 33-year-old Swift wrapped the North American leg of her global tour with four shows in Mexico, and will pick back up in Argentina in November, with plans to tour into the end of 2024.

With 146 total stadium dates, it is expected she will set the record for the first billion-dollar tour, with trade publication Pollstar estimating she's selling some $14 million in tickets per show.

Swift's team does not report box office numbers.

The current record-holder is Elton John, whose "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour, which began in 2018, ultimately made $939 million.

Eras Tour tips: How to avoid scammers when buying Taylor Swift tickets

Taylor Swift fans longing to see the Eras Tour in Europe or North America should beware of scammers getting creative to lure them into spending hundreds and thousands on fake tickets.

“Any large influx of people, money and attention to one area will be a lightning rod for attackers,” says Dr. Andrew Reeves, a psychologist and researcher for the University of Adelaide in Australia. Reeves studied scams during the first year of the Eras Tour. He looks for ways scammers leverage human vulnerabilities to launch their attacks.

“We expected that attackers would be sending phishing emails saying that there’s tickets on sale or maybe there’s a problem with your tickets and click here to resolve,” he says. “But the most common was they were masquerading as your friends or hacking into people’s accounts that you know on social media and saying, ‘Hey, I’ve got a ticket to the Eras Tour and I can’t go anymore.’”

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

That exact scenario happened to Nikki Duplessis right after Christmas in Merthyr Tydfil, United Kingdom. She wanted to take her sister to the concert.

“Taylor has helped us work through the trauma of losing our mum,” she said.

A friend tagged Duplessis in the comments section of a mutual friend’s Facebook post selling three tickets to the Liverpool, England, show on June 14 for £188 ($233) each.

“The person messaged me on Facebook Messenger, and I sent the money,” Duplessis said, showing screenshots of the exchange. “And then I was blocked. The account had been hacked.”

Duplessis reported the transaction to her bank but was unable to get her £564 ($699) back. She still doesn’t have tickets to the show.

“There is one element that is specific to Taylor and plays perfectly into an attacker’s playbook, which is attackers love to make people scared and think quickly,” Reeves said. “They want people to act impulsively and not think, ‘Should I do this?’”

'Disruptors and soul deconstructors'

Dazen Vrilla counted days and counted miles to see Swift perform in Singapore. The Indonesian journalist tried to get tickets when they were released on Ticketmaster but had no luck securing seats to the only concert stop in Southeast Asia .

“I turned 30 in December and I told my best friend that I don’t care what you do, I want a ticket to Taylor Swift for my birthday,” she said over WhatsApp.

Her best friend had a friend, Shania Sisilia, with an extra ticket purchased from a third party. Vrilla and Sisilia met months before the Singaporean concert at the Eras Tour movie.

“I trusted her because my friend introduced me to her and I trusted him,” Vrilla said. The two ventured to Singapore and met at the Changi Airport, recording videos of their journey to National Stadium.

Vrilla was afraid to think about the possibility the tickets weren’t real. Sisilia purchased the tickets for five million Indonesian Rupiah (about $315) each and had them transferred to her Apple Wallet.

The two walked up to the stadium in their sparkly outfits.

“It was the moment of truth, and I thought, ‘Oh God, please don’t fail me, please don’t fail me,” Vrilla said. The light that would flash green if the tickets were legitimate did not.

Sisilia broke down in tears. As they figured out what to do next, they witnessed many others get turned away including Americans who flew 10,000 miles with false tickets.

“We noticed maybe about 50 people get turned away at our gate,” Vrilla says. “I think the reason many people got scammed is most of the Singapore audience came from overseas.”

Heartbroken, Vrilla and Sisilia “Taylorgated" with other fans outside of the stadium, dancing and singing to Swift’s voice. Vrilla posted a video on Instagram of the scam that went viral, and the Swifties of Indonesia came to the rescue.

“I got a WhatsApp link sent to me,” Vrilla said. “There was an entire group of people going to the concert, and after they heard my situation, they found both of us tickets on April 7. We paid face value.”

Vrilla got a VIP seat on the floor for $1,200, and because she’s an investigative reporter, she tracked down the scammer and got her money back.

“It’s the greatest concert I’ve ever been to,” she said. “I know it doesn’t happen for everyone, but it worked out.”

Tips to avoid scams

  • The No. 1 tip is to always book and buy through Swift’s website for international and domestic concert dates . There are resell sites linked when you click on the shows from her page. Keep refreshing daily to see if any new opportunities pop up.
  • Is it too good to be true? Swift’s Eras Tour is an anomaly of epic proportions. She’s shattered records, and demand is very high. If something sounds too good to be true, question and verify before sending money.
  • Do not click suspicious links or download apps that you enter your information into.
  • Don’t be “pals” with someone you’ve never met on PayPal. Send money under “Goods and Services,” which makes it easier to dispute purchases.
  • Always verify a post on social media by calling your friend selling the ticket or meeting them in person.
  • Be wary of third-party sites. Some fans have had luck with stubhub.com and other resellers. But some have traveled long distances overseas only to have their tickets not work.
  • Nearly all tickets are digital. Be circumspect about buying printed tickets.

Phishers are not the sweetest cons

There are 69 shows left in 2024 as Swift continues her global conquest through Europe and North America. As the number of concerts dwindles, scam opportunities may increase. Be vigilant and empathetic with anyone you know who falls victim.

“A hack can happen to anyone,” Reeves said. “It could happen to me, even though I work in the industry. Don’t shame people if they fall victim because we need people to speak out about the attacks so that other people are aware of the methods and stop the scammers in their tracks.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Australia – Concert Tips for Sydney

Taylor Swift Eras Tour – Tips & Notes for Sydney Concert

It’s the most anticipated concert of the year and it’s finally here in australia..

After going to the Night 3 concert on Sunday night in Melbourne I thought I would just jot down a few little tips and observations for anyone heading to the Sydney concerts.

Get ready for an incredible 3.5 hours experience. It’s not like any other concert. With incredible stamina and without breaking a sweat, Ms Swift literally performs for most of the show – there’s very little time she’s not on the stage singing and dancing. Her stunning costume changes are fast and plentiful. It’s an extravaganza that keeps audiences spellbound.

Merchandise

In Melbourne the merchandise sold like hotcakes. Who knew that merch was going to be another struggle after all the Ticketek battles.

The sizing is American sizes so is on the big side. As there are many young fans, the Youth sizes, XS and S are the most popular sizes and seem to sell out as soon as they are restocked. Unfortunately by the last 2 days of the concert there were very few, and by the last concert day there was very little left of anything and only large and XL sizes left.

We had the grand plan of going to the merchandise stalls outside of the MCG on the Friday or Saturday night while the concert was on, as there would be no lines up then. It partially worked. There were no line ups. But there was also barely any stock by then. All smaller sizes gone. There was more stock delivered on Saturday but the line ups during the day were huge and by Saturday night when we went, there were only a couple of items still in stock (one of the hoodies and one long sleeve top) but only in large sizes. No t-shirts at all.

So if you have your heart set on buying merchandise in a smaller size go early is my advice. We spoke to some girls who were triumphant in buying merch at around 1.30pm on Saturday. They said they lined up from 10am. The stores did not open until 12.30pm that day as there was a delay in the shipment of stock arriving. That’s the kind of dedication you need. We were not dedicated enough.

Things may be different in Sydney but be aware that just like Melbourne there are thousands and thousands of people who missed out on tickets but still want to buy merch on top of the 80,000 x 3 nights of people going to the show so basically a lot of people who are vying for a momento. Early pre-sales of merch have seen long lines already of eager buyers so there’s no guarantee there will be enough stock to keep everyone happy for the whole concert weekend. You can also buy online too so don’t despair if you can’t get them at the merch stall (but not all items are available online). Stock seems to be constantly added and currently you can pre-order (it says shipping is from 14 March 2024).

Swifties sing loud, and scream even louder. I have never been to a louder concert before and I’m pretty sure being surrounded by 96,000 fans had something to do with it. It’s worth getting some ear plugs for the concert (just the cheap foam ones from chemists or Bunnings do the job). They help to dull the singing and screaming around you so you can hear the music and Taylor Swift singing. This would be especially important for young children who may benefit from ear muffs. The amount of noise may be quite overwhelming for kids, and hurt their ears.

The ear plugs help to prevent that prolonged ringing in your ears which can sometimes continue long after the concert too.

It’s Busy Everywhere

The MCG was a total buzz as was all of Melbourne. Fans literally took over the city – footpaths were packed, stores were full of people and Taylor Swift songs played non-stop in every one of them. The vibe was friendly and happy – there was excitement in the air. Be prepared for crowds and generally people everywhere. Allow for the fact that restaurants and places to eat will be busy and may take longer to serve food.

Swifties are Dedicated

It was a pleasant surprise to observe that during the concert Swifties generally did not spend the whole night on their phones constantly taking photos and videoing. Instead they were way too busy singing their hearts out and dancing all night. They seem to know all the song lyrics and didn’t even seem to be making it up. Not an easy feat considering there are 44 songs, many with story based lyrics with a lot of words!

They enjoyed the moment, immersing themselves in the experience, and didn’t want to miss anything.

You are going to be on your feet dancing for pretty much the whole concert – you won’t have a choice as everyone stands and you won’t see a thing otherwise. So the best thing would be to wear comfortable shoes. If you have boots or special shoes with heels especially to match your outfit, consider taking along some flats to change into, after you’ve taken photos of your outfit of course.

Friendship Bracelets

It’s a varied experience with friendship bracelets. While some people did a lot of bracelet swapping or giving, other people were a little shy to approach strangers. It may just depend on the people who happen to be sitting in your section. Some of the bracelet exchanges happen outside the stadium before going in. If you have made many bracelets to give or swap don’t be afraid to approach other Swifties – no one will say no to a friendly exchange and it’s such a lovely tradition at Taylor Swift concerts.

Sensory Room

There will be a Sensory Room for kids who may be overwhelmed by the noise or excitement and need a quieter space. Read more about it on the Accor site under Sensory Rooms/Packs.

Getting There

The trains are fantastic in Sydney and public transport is free for the concert. When we were at Harry Styles last year we found it super easy to get to Accor Stadium on a train and then get back to our city hotel after. They put on extra trains and they seemed to come along every 5 to 10 minutes. Express trains leave from Central Station and the trip only takes around 20 minutes. That night there was another concert on in the precinct so they were expecting over 120,000 people in that area but it all ran so smoothly.

For more info visit the Accor Stadium website here .

Whatever you do, have the most wonderful time, it doesn’t get better than this. You won’t forget the experience.

Breaking Down Taylor Swift’s Tour Setlist, Era by Era

Image of Benedetta Geddo

Taylor Swift probably needs no introduction given how she’s one of the most listened-to and most influential artists in the world, breaking records left and right with everything she does. That includes the world tour she’s currently busy on, the Eras Tour—a spectacularly-crafted show that lasts more than three hours and spans the entirety of her career , from her debut album to her most recent work .

The Eras Tour kicked off last March in Glendale, Arizona, and officially wrapped up its first leg—the USA one—with six nights at Sofi Stadium in California, from August 3 to August 9. The very last concert, of course, finished with a bang as Swift announced the release of the newest album in her ongoing re-recording project: 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is coming out on October 27. The announcement was anticipated by a series of very Taylor Swift-esque details, including her switching to blue outfits on stage and the significance of the date—her last show at Sofi was on 8/9, after all.

Still, the Eras Tour has a long way to go. 2023 will see Swift traveling through South America, with dates in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. And once the new year arrives it will be time to go overseas—from Japan to Australia to Singapore, then a whole series of dates throughout Europe, and finishing stateside with nights in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and then Canada.

While there definitely might be some changes to the show for its international leg, it’s likely that the bones of the Eras Tour will remain the same. And that, of course, includes its setlist. Let’s take a deep dive into Taylor Swift’s setlist, breaking it down one era at a time.

The Lover act

The show kicks off with the section dedicated to Lover, her seventh studio album. Swift appears on stage and starts with “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince” before going into “Cruel Summer”—which famously has the very first bridge of the night, as the singer herself tells the audience. Then it’s “The Man” and “You Need to Calm Down” with a whole ensemble of dancers before more stripped-down versions of both “Lover” and “The Archer.”

@jennadeangelistv THIS ?? BRIDGE ?? IS ?? EVERYTHING. @Taylor Swift #cruelsummer #taylorswift #metlifeday1 #metlifetstheerastour #erastour #iykyk ♬ original sound – Jenna ??

The Fearless act

The second act moves to Swift’s sophomore album Fearless , released back in 2008. After an obligatory costume change into something orange to represent this particular era, Swift performs “Fearless,” “You Belong With Me,” and “Love Story.” This act is also one of the shortest in the whole show.

The Evermore act

The third act takes things from country to witchy for Evermore , the singer’s second-to-last album. This era kicks off with “’tis the damn season” and continues with “willow,” “marjorie,” “champagne problems,” and ends with “tolerate it.”

The Reputation act

One of the most anticipated each night, the fourth act is dedicated to the 2017 album Reputation —which brought Swift back to the public eye after a series of scandals that threatened to end her career. Swift starts off with “…Ready for It?” and “Delicate” before “Don’t Blame Me,” which iconically transitions into “Look What You Made Me Do.”

The Speak Now act

The fifth—and shortest—act evokes Swift’s junior album, Speak Now , whose re-record was released right in the middle of the tour on July 7. The singer performs two songs—”Enchanted” and “Long Live,” which was added after the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) —while wearing a full ball gown, one of the most recognizable outfits from the entire show.

The Red act

The first song of the act dedicated to Swift’s fourth album, Red , is “22”—at the end of which the singer gives away the hat she’s wearing to a fan who is chosen in advance. Then it’s time for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble”, before she finishes the act with “All Too Well.”

@itsliyaaa reliving this day for the rest of my life #erastour #erastourtaylorswift #erastourseattle #erastourseattlen1 #taylorswift #alltoowell ♬ original sound – liya

The Folklore act

The seventh act is dedicated to Folklore and it’s a triumph of cottagecore. The first song when the tour started was “invisible string,” which was replaced by “the 1.” Swift continues with “betty,” “the last great american dynasty,” “august,” “illicit affairs,” and “my tears ricochet.” The final song of this era is “cardigan.”

The 1989 act

The second-to-last act of the show starts with “Style” and continues with “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “Bad Blood.” At the end of this act, there’s the famed acoustics set where Swift sits down to play two surprise songs —one on the guitar and one on the piano. The surprise songs have become one of the most recurring inside jokes throughout the tour, with fans guessing what the two songs of the night will be before the show and sharing their reactions after. Fans have also been keeping track of which songs have been played, though it’s likely that the count will reset for the international dates.

@benstafford100 KING OF MY HEART!!!! safe to say im passing away right now #latstheerastour #kingofmyheart #surprisesong #taylorswift #swifttok @Taylor Swift ♬ original sound – ben

The Midnights act

The final act of the show is dedicated to the most recent album Swift released, Midnights . The act opens with “Lavender Haze” and continues with “Anti-Hero,” “Midnight Rain,” and “Vigilante Shit”—with its by-now iconic blue bodysuit and chair dance choreography. “Bejeweled” also features a TikTok-inspired dance move that has gone viral, and then Swift finishes off the show with “Mastermind” and “Karma,” and a healthy dose of fireworks and confetti, as all good closings should have.

Ed Sheeran joins Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium: Follow live updates from London

Portrait of Bryan West

LONDON — Welcome to the live blog for the Eras Tour in London!

Taylor Swift returns to the stage for the final stop on the European leg of the Eras Tour after a suspected terror plot was thwarted in Vienna. Security measures are tight at Wembley Stadium. Fans with floor tickets were not allowed to camp overnight in the hopes of getting a spot closer to the stage, and Swifties can no longer "Taylor-gate" outside of the stadium if they don't have tickets.

As the Taylor Swift reporter for the USA TODAY Network, I’ll be your host for the evening keeping you updated on all the happenings from inside Wembley Stadium. Since taking the Taylor Swift reporter job in November, I’ve watched the show 69 times in person or on grainy livestreams (equivalent to 230 hours or nine and a half days). Follow along for updates as we go on a little adventure spanning 18 years of music.

Confetti falls to the floor

And that’s a wrap on Thursday night in Wembley. Swift has four more shows in London. “The Alchemy” is ushering fans out as cleanups begin. Many fans are scurrying to pick up colorful confetti representing Swift’s various eras.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

The credits for the cast and crew are projecting on the back screen.

During year one, the background song was “You’re On Your Own Kid” from “Midnights.”

Will Swift make an announcement before her two-month break and return to North America?

We will be covering the highlights over the next few days.

Karma is the guy on the...

We are in the final song of the night.

Swift wore the glistening sky-blue T-shirt during “Anti-Hero,” the dark blue one-piece during "Midnight Rain" and is now grooving in the magenta fur coat to wrap up night one in Wembley Stadium.

She has sang "Karma (Travis' Version)" 13 times for the 13 shows he's attended as her boyfriend where she swaps out "Karma is the guy on the screen" with "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs." And while she will sing the former tonight, the audience will most likely scream the latter.

Ed Sheeran joins Eras Tour stage

Swift welcomed special guest Ed Sheeran to join her onstage for a mashup of their songs "Everything Has Changed" and "End Game" on acoustic guitar. The British singer-songwriter appeared on the original album recordings of the songs that appeared on "Red (Taylor's Version)" and "Reputation," respectively.

For the surprise set, the singer had something up her sleeveless blue dress. She began strumming her guitar singing “Everything Has Changed” from “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

The audience gasped. Some Swifties whispered, “Is Ed here?”

The song is a duet between Swift and her longtime friend Ed Sheeran.

“I just feel like something’s missing,” Swift said, and the decibel level in the stadium rocketed off the charts. “Good thing Ed Sheeran is here.”

He appeared on the center platform.

After harmonizing, the two mashed in “End Game,” another duet they sing on Swift’s sixth album “Reputation.” They finished with Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”

The crowd belted the song.

As they both strummed at the end, they gave each other a big hug and raised their guitars in the air. Swift kissed the top of Ed Sheeran’s head and then ruffled his red locks.

“This is my best friend, he is like a second brother to me,” Swift said, mentioning Sheeran is on tour and probably tired. She asked the crowd to make some noise and the noise felt like it might break the sound barrier.

The shock that surged through the stadium with Ed Sheeran as a surprise guest couldn’t be matched but Swift delivered a sweet mashup on the piano between “King of My Heart” from “Reputation” and “The Alchemy” from “The Tortured Poets Department.” The watches glowed bright green.Where’s the trophy? That was an epic surprise set for night one in Wembley!

For a complete list of every surprise song and mashup, click here.

Here comes the 'Tayoomba'

She was tame, she was gentle. But now Swift is on the Roomba-esque machine. The maddening and shiny contraption allows her to belt high notes while chasing her dancers.

During the last few shows in Germany and Warsaw, Poland, Swift added a shriek after the second-to-last line, "So who's afraid of little old me?" She did it again in London on Thursday.

A cool effect that always gets fans excited is the final filtered shot on the back screen where Swift looks like a dead-eyed glowing soul. She always tilts her head to the side. She told Post Malone in her "Fortnight" behind-the-scenes video, "Nothing says crazy like a slight tilt to the head."

Wembley screams 'LON-DON' during 'Blank Space' chant

When Swift performed "Blank Space," one of her most famous songs and one of Travis Kelce's favorites, the crowd played its part. Between lines of the bridge, stadiums shout the names of their city while Swift sings, "Boys only want love if it's torture." This ritual started during Swift's stint in Sydney, Australia, because of the 1989 World Tour movie shot there in 2015. During the song, Swift grabbed an iron golf club and struck a metal pole sticking out of the stage: boom, boom. She paused and did it again: boom, boom. But this time sang "Syd-ney." You can read more about the chant here .

Wait for the signal and I'll meet you after dawn

The lightning in the stadium sounded and Swift sauntered to meet her dancers dressed in green cloaks at the back of the stage. Holding glass, light-up orbs they recited the "Willow" chant. This is when fans blow up balloons and use cell phone lights to make them glow.

The Wembley Stadium listed balloons as one of the items not allowed inside, but a few hundred fans made orbs anyway.

In Amsterdam, three Swifties started the "Willow" trend. You can check out their story here .

Wembley gives Swift 3-minute standing ovation

When she pulled her inner ears out after "Champagne Problems," the audience lost it. She smiled and clutched her hands to her chest.

“If any of us — me, the dancers or the band — have a bad day again, we are going to replay that little memory in our minds,” she said to the crowd.

Swift gets emotional during 'Folkmore' era

After finishing "Cardigan," Swift addressed the crowd.

"I just have to be honest with you guys now that I’ve calmed down a little bit," she said. "The first time I saw this crowd when I came out from backstage ... my whole mind went blank."

She described the feeling as a "love system overload."

"I can't believe that 92,000 people are being this loving and caring and generous to us all at once," she said. "It's just wonderful what you do for us. ... All of us are going to miss it so much when we don't get to do it anymore. Feelings and emotions that I didn’t think about before talking about in front of 92,000 people."

Eras Tour outfits

On Thursday, Swift wore the following:

  • Her blue and pink "Lover" bodysuit
  • Her silver blazer for "The Man"
  • Her black and silver "Fearless" dress
  • Her "A lot going on at the moment" T-shirt for "Red"
  • Her purple cupcake dress for "Speak Now"
  • Her classic "Reputation" bodysuit
  • Her green dress for "Folkmore"
  • Her green and pink top and skirt for "1989"
  • Her "Who's afraid of little old me? You should be" gown for "The Tortured Poets Department"
  • The black two-piece with a gold jacket for "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart"
  • Her blue dress for the acoustic set
  • Her sky-blue T-shirt for "Anti-Hero"
  • Her chevron bodysuit for "Midnight Rain"
  • Finally, Swift closed the show in her magenta fur coat

If you happen to have 10 minutes to spare...

Swift’s dancers exit the stage following “I Knew You Were Trouble” as Swift slings her guitar over her shoulder and heads to center stage alone. The Eras Tour's guitar hangs in anticipation of playing Swift's heartbreaking ballad from the “Red” era.

If not for the rerecording of her fourth era, Swifties may have never heard “All Too Well (10-Minute Version).” The singer stated in an interview that the original song had been edited down to five minutes. Fans implored her to release the lengthier version and she did as a vault song to “Red (Taylor’s Version).” The song skyrocketed on the charts, unseating “American Pie” by Don McLean as the longest No. 1 hit in Billboard’s Hot 100 chart history.

“We were lucky enough to play Wembley stadium back in June, were any of you there?” she asked Thursday to get a loud cheer response. “Thanks for coming back, you guys.”She asks if anyone is new. An even louder roar erupts.

Swift has performed the 10 minute and 13 second song 127 times. In total, that’s 1,298 minutes or 22 hours. At the end, white confetti will fall to the ground to represent snow referenced in the heartbreak anthem.

What did Kam say?

A fan-favorite for livestreamers is to log on and see what dancer Kameron Saunders is going to say during the bridge of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

When Swift performed 53 shows across America, he said “Like Ever” as a response to Swift saying, “So he calls me up and he’s like, ‘I still love you,' and I mean this is exhausting, like we are never getting back together.” But for her international shows he mixed up the expression catering it to the culture and language of each international city.

On Thursday in London, Saunders said, “Are you mad?”

For a complete list of Saunders' sayings, click here .

The coveted '22' hat

Taylor Swift emerged for her “Red” era in her "A Lot Going On at the Moment" shirt. Swift has six custom-made shirts including: “We are never getting back together like ever,” “Who’s Taylor Swift anyway? Ew,” “This is not Taylor’s Version,” “I bet you think about me” and “I knew U were trouble.”

Different than her other tours, there are no meet-and-greets or secret fan rooms, so the closest a mere mortal can get to the superstar is being the one chosen as the “22" hat recipient. Swift’s team makes the selection moments before the concert begins and usually invites that person to the VIP tent area. At the conclusion of the “Fearless” era, her team will bring the lucky fan down to the end of the catwalk.

Swift autographs the brim of the black fedora designed by milliner Gladys Tamez.

“I’ve been like so, so humble and so grateful to do this,” Tamez said in April, “because I’ve worked with her team for a long time and then to have this moment, I was excited.”

Tonight Swift has chosen the 127th member of the exclusive "22" fedora club .

To learn more about how "22" hat recipients are chosen, click here .

Idris Elba attends Eras Tour

Actor Idris Elba attended Thursday's show. It's only appropriate since he iconically introduced "London Boy" on the "Lover" album. Before the beat drops he says, "We can go drivin' in, on my scooter / Uh, you know, just 'round London."

During Swift's June residency at Wembley, an abundance of A listers attended including Prince William and two of his children,  Sir Paul McCartney,  Jon Bon Jovi, Hugh Grant, Cate Blanchett, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce, Kylie Kelce and Swift's parents Scott and Andrea.

The last European shows of the Eras Tour

"What an absolute honor and what a delight and a thrill it is to say these words to you: London, welcome to the Eras Tour!" Swift told Wembley Stadium. “I stand here on this stage knowing that I’m about to play the first show of the last stop of the European leg of the Eras Tour, and the way that you’ve chosen to welcome us, 92,000 of you and screaming the words. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.”

Swift thanked her opening acts, starting with Sofia Isella.

“It’s crazy to me that it’s coming to an end,” Swift says of touring Europe with her opening act Paramore.

The show begins

Oh hi! Taylor Swift returns to the stage to perform her “Lover set.” This is the singer’s first appearance since her team canceled three shows in Vienna because of a thwarted terrorist plot. She glimmers in her blue and pink bodysuit.

The 34-year-old has five “Lover” bodysuit variations: tangerine, gold and blue, purple, pink, and blue and pink.

“Well fancy meeting you here at Wembley Stadium," she says, pointing to the restricted view section and tracing the arena. The 92,000 fans let out an ear-shattering roar.“OK well that was amazing. I’m really feeling like immediately that has gone to my head. You’ve got me feeling really, really powerful," she says as she puts on a silver jacket before singing "The Man."

Cue the Eras Tour overture

The backdrop screen to the Eras Tour just shifted to a countdown clock starting at 2:24. Leslie Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me” fills the stadium.

When the tour first started in March of 2023, fans were surprised Swift began her set with “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,” but the opener makes sense due to the lines “it’s been a long time coming” and “it’s you and me, that’s my whole world." Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Swift had to cancel her Loverfest stadium show in 2021 and hadn’t toured since the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018.

After her first football stadium concert series and before the start of the Eras Tour, she released four new eras: “Lover,” “Folklore,” “Evermore” and “Midnights.” For the Eras Tour, she combined her 10 eras into a three-plus-hour show.

When Swift released “The Tortured Poets Department” in April — under the veil of secrecy — she and her dancers flew a little over a week early to Paris to rehearse an updated show. The crowd lost it when they saw the new version on May 9.

If you’re following along, here is the order of the eras in the overture:

  • “It's fearless”
  • “Big reputation”
  • “And they said ’Speak Now’”
  • “Into folklore”
  • “My name is Taylor, and I was born in 1989”
  • “Straight from the tortured poets department”
  • “Cause loving him was red”
  • “Meet me at midnight”

Standby: We're 'In Ha Mood'

The Ice Spice beat dropped. Swifties are trained to run back from the bathroom or concession stands as soon as they hear "In Ha Mood" begin playing. It means Taylor Swift will appear in about 10 minutes.

The dancers and band will make their way to the stage. Taylor Swift is hidden in a “cleaning cart” at the end of the cast walking up the ramp. Her cart is being pushed by production workers who will stop the cart right before a set of stairs that take Swift to the main platform.

“Applause” by Lady Gaga will play next. As the song blares across an anxious and excited audience, dancers will put pink and ombre parachute flaps on their backs and line up behind the main stage door.

Taylor Swift's massive set list of 46 songs

The crowd eagerly awaited the start of the show as the "Bejeweled" behind-the-scenes video played indicating Swift was about to embark on a three-plus-hour show era-by-era. Here is her 46-song setlist:

  • Lover: "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince," "Cruel Summer," "The Man," "You Need to Calm Down" and "Lover"
  • Fearless: "Fearless," "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story"
  • Red: "22," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)"
  • Speak Now: "Enchanted"
  • Reputation: "...Ready For It?" "Delicate," "Don't Blame Me" and "Look What You Made Me Do"
  • Folkmore (Folklore and Evermore combined set): "Cardigan," "Betty," "Champagne Problems," "August," "Illicit Affairs," "My Tears Ricochet," "Marjorie" and "Willow"
  • 1989: "Style," "Blank Space," "Shake it Off," "Wildest Dreams" and "Bad Blood"
  • The Tortured Poets Department: "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" and "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart"
  • Acoustic guitar mashup and acoustic piano mashup
  • Midnights: "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero," "Midnight Rain," "Vigilante S---," "Bejeweled," "Mastermind" and "Karma"

Paramore set list

“Oh yeah London! It’s good to be back with you," Hayley Williams boomed into the mic. "Oh how we’ve missed you. We can never get enough London. Ever!”“It’s an honor and a privilege to be here. Never in our entire world did we ever think we’d play at Wembley Stadium so thank you for making this possible.”Their set list included:

  • “Hard Times” with Blondie mashup of “Heart of Glass”
  • “Burning Down the House”
  • “Still Into You”
  • “Forgiveness”
  • “Caught in the Middle”
  • “The Only Exception”
  • “Misery Business”
  • “Ain’t It Fun”
  • “This Is Why”

The rousing opening act energized Wembley as Williams lay on the ground in the center spotlight and belted the end of “Ain’t It Fun.” London was overcast, with the open-roofed arena sitting at 73 degrees. The floor was packed with every inch covered by Swifties and the rest of the stadium filled to 60%. Swift will take the stage in about 30 minutes.

'Ain't it fun' that Paramore is here?

Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro have been the opening act for Taylor Swift on the European leg of the  Eras Tour . The trio have dazzled for 43 shows across Europe. They will wrap their involvement on Tuesday and make their way back to Nashville, Tennessee, where they're based.

Right before leaving for Paris in May, Paramore was dubbed the Global Ambassadors for Record Store Day, a title Swift held in 2022. They surprised fans at Grimey's record store in Nashville.

Swift's final opening act for the remaining North America shows will be Gracie Abrams.

Is Travis Kelce coming back to Eras Tour?

It's not likely Swift's boyfriend will be at the shows in England. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has his final training camp practice on Thursday before the Chiefs' preseason home game on Saturday against the Detroit Lions. Although Swift could make the following preseason home game on Aug. 22 as the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears.

Who could forget Travis Kelce breaking the internet the last time Swift performed in Wembley by appearing on stage to carry her after her symbolic crash to the ground from "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived." He attempted to revive her alongside backup dancers Jan Ravnik and Kameron Saunders so she could sing, "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Sofia Isella set list

“This is the most insane view I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” opening act Sofia Isella told Wembley Stadium.

Her set list included:

  • “Cacao and Cocaine”
  • “Everybody Supports Women”
  • “Unattractive”
  • “I Looked the Future in the Eyes, It's Mine”

Isella played six songs in her 25-minute set.

Sofia Isella takes the stage

Similar to inviting three artists to open before Paramore in June, Swift has invited five singers to share the stage in Wembley Stadium. Up first is Sofia Isella , a 19-year-old classically trained violinist, songwriter, producer and singer. The rising star was born in Beverly Hills, California, but lives in Australia.

When Swift let the cat out of the bag on Aug. 5, Isella shared a message on Instagram: "Someone I’ve never met has changed my life even more than she already has just through her writing alone. Your fearlessness in continuing to push yourself and win again and again is the most joyful thing to watch, Taylor. Thank you."

The acts that will open the rest of the Wembley dates are:

  • Friday: Holly Humberstone
  • Saturday: Suki Waterhouse
  • Monday: Maisie Peters
  • Tuesday: Raye

Doors are open

It's official. Wembley Stadium has just opened the doors to allow VIP guests into the arena. The general admission sections will open in about thirty minutes. Thousands of Swifties are pouring in.

Lining up at 4 a.m.

Amy Willow of Brighton, United Kingdom, rode up on the overnight train with her two best friends hoping to get in line for Thursday night's Eras Tour show. The early morning wake up call landing her at Wembley Stadium at 4 a.m. was a good call. She ended up being first in line.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, there's going to be like a queue of a hundred people,'" she says four hours before general admission doors open. "Crickets, literal crickets. There was no one here. It was amazing."

Wembley Stadium tells fans without a ticket: Don't come

The stadium that seats 89,000 fans told anyone without an Eras Tour ticket not to come. Additional ticket checks have been added around the stadium and fans will need to show proof of passes before entering the general vicinity.

Wembley Stadium's website  also implemented stricter security measures including no overnight camping and no  "Taylor-gating,"  where devoted fans without tickets congregate outside of a stadium to listen to the live concert and engage in dancing and friendship bracelet trading. The stadium is not allowing anyone to stand outside any entrance or on the Olympics Steps at the front. Non-ticketholders will be "moved on."

Taylor Swift Celebrates End of European Leg With Massive ‘Eras Tour’-Themed Cake

See the Amazing Eras Tour Cake From Last London Show

The European leg of Taylor Swift ’s The Eras Tour came to an end with a massive celebration and amazing cake.

Florence Welch ’s hairstylist, Ryan Richman , posted a video via Instagram Stories Tuesday, August 20 while backstage during the final show of Swift’s five-night stint at Wembley Stadium in London. One clip, that’s since been shared by multiple fan accounts on social media, showed a giant cake designed to look like the tour stage.

The massive dessert was covered in blue fondant, making an edible replica of Swift’s stage and runway. The Eras Tour poster was largely displayed on the cake version. The sweet treat came complete with mini cupcakes in the pit (where concertgoers would be) that had different colored icing.

Swift, 34, surprised London fans on Tuesday by performing “Florida!!!” from The Tortured Poets Department with Welch for the first time. On Wednesday, August 21, Swift took to Instagram and thanked Welch (along with other London special guests Ed Sheeran and Jack Antonoff ) while sharing a message about the European leg of The Eras Tour coming to an end.

“Performing ‘Florida!!!’ with Flo for the first time was unforgettable and Ed took me right back to our old Red Tour memories. It was the most dizzying honor to become the first solo artist to play Wembley 8 times in one tour,” Swift captioned an Instagram post. “To the fans who have seen us this summer, you’ll always have the most sparkling place in my memories. You were a dream to perform for, dance with, and share those magical moments with.”

Swift promised fans that she would see them in October when Eras Tour is set to resume following a two-month break . The singer also broke her silence about being forced to cancel her Vienna shows earlier this month following a terror threat.

Every Time Taylor Swift Eras Tour Became the Errors Tour

Related: Every Time Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Became the ‘Errors Tour’

“Walking onstage in London was a rollercoaster of emotions. Having our Vienna shows cancelled was devastating,” Swift started her lengthy caption on Wednesday. “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows. But I was also so grateful to the authorities because thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives.”

The singer noted that she was “heartened by the love and unity” she saw between fans after the canceled concerts. (Vienna police thwarted a planned terror attack on August 7 set for Swift’s shows at Ernst Happel Stadium. Three men have since been taken into custody.)

“Let me be very clear: I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows,” Swift said. “In cases like this one, ‘silence’ is actually showing restraint, and waiting to express yourself at a time when it’s right to. My priority was finishing our European tour safely, and it is with great relief that I can say we did that.”
