Ligger an til å tape hundretusener – NRK-ekspert ber FIS endre sanksjonene

Se oversikt over premiepengene i faktaboksen:
Michal Lamplot tok i høst over som rennsjef for langrenn i FIS.

Maanum senket Rosenborg - sikret Arsenal-avansement i mesterligakvaliken
Skrekkskade for Fossesholm
Emily Sartz-Lunde sikret US Open-bragd – vant doublefinalen i junior
Tennistalentet Emily Sartz-Lunde (18) og hennes marokkanske makker, Malak El Allami (18), hadde få problemer i doublefinalen i junior i US Open.

Harald Østberg Amundsen: Over 1, 1 millioner norske kroner.
Aller mest denne Touren tjente Diggins. Årsaken til at amerikaneren tjener mer enn Amundsen, tross at begge vant sammenlagt, er i hovedsak at Diggins endte nest øverst i poengkonkurransen for damene.
Jessie Diggins: 1.140.000 kroner.
Store summer
Heidi Weng: 752.000 kroner.
På 3. plass sammenlagt endte Kerttu Niskanen.
Kerttu Niskanen: 558.000 kroner.

Breakpoints
Diggins wins 20k pursuit in third stage of tour de ski.
On the third stage of the 2023-24 Tour de Ski, Jessie Diggins clinched her 17th career World Cup victory in the 20k pursuit, maintaining her firm grip on the overall Tour de Ski standings. Meanwhile, Gus Schumacher secured his first top 10 result of the season to solidify his 10th place position in the overall Tour de Ski standings. Each of the first three Tour stages in Toblach, Italy featured a Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team athlete on the podium, as the Tour moves on to Davos, Switzerland.
Despite the appearance of a mass start, a pursuit race can come across as complicated from the outside. A pursuit-style race in the Tour de Ski means that those who are leading the overall standings are off the start line first and are “pursued” by those in second place, third place and so on. The first person to cross the finish line at the end wins. The ‘time of day’ result reflects the athlete’s overall speed and is calculated separately than the overall result.
Navigating the challenging five-lap course on slow, wet snow, the racers put the hammer down and showed impressive skiing at each point on the course. The men were on the snow first, with Ben Ogden, fresh off his inaugural podium in the skate sprint, starting third based on his overall Tour ranking. However, Schumacher was the top American for the men and consistently posted top-10 times at each marker, elevating his race in the challenging conditions. His chip time placed him sixth overall in the time of day standings, but he crossed the line in 10th place, adding his first top 10 of the season to his resume. Accompanying him, Scott Patterson secured 28th overall with an impressive 20th in the time of day standings, followed by Zanden McMullen in 48th, Ogden in 63rd, and Kevin Bolger in 65th.
Diggins, donning the coveted overall leader bib for the pursuit, started seven seconds ahead of the second place athlete, Victoria Karl of Germany. Diggins embarked on the course with a clear mission to widen the gap. Through the splits, Diggins kept on it, leading the race at every turn. Skiing the entire 20k by herself, Diggins had to dig deep and put together a race without any competitors around her. Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team athletes Rosie Brennan, Sophia Laukli, Novie McCabe, Sammy Smith and Julia Kern also raced, with Laukli putting together a strong race—highlighting by her winning the ninth fastest time of the day, showcasing her skill in longer distances skate races. Brennan finished 15th, Laukli 21st, McCabe 27th, Kern 45th and Smith 47th.
As the final racer crossed the line, the victory belonged to Diggins, securing her second win in the initial three stages of the Tour and fortifying her leadership in the overall rankings as the race heads to Davos, Switzerland. Stage four features another skate sprint on Jan. 3.

Tour de Ski 2022-23: Preview, schedule, format, and how to watch cross-country stars including Klaebo and Diggins in the multi-stage event
Norway's Johannes Klæbo defends his Tour de Ski crown, as American Jessie Diggins bids to regain the title she won two years ago on the FIS World Cup circuit
(2022 Getty Images)
One of the highlights of the cross-country skiing season, the 2022-23 Tour de Ski, gets underway in Val Muestair, Switzerland on New Year's Eve.
Reigning men's champion Johannes Klæbo will be strongly fancied to retain his crown, while Jessie Diggins is bidding to regain the title she won two years ago when she became the first non-European winner of the Tour de Ski.
The skiers will take part in seven stages with just two rest days, with the climax on the famously steep and gruelling Alpe Cermis Final Climb mass start in Val di Fiemme.
The 17th Tour de Ski is the first where the men and women will race equal distances after the FIS made all World Cup races the same length across genders.
Read on to find out all you need to know about this year's edition of the Tour de Ski including a full schedule and the skiers to watch.
When is the 2022-23 Tour de Ski?
The 2022-23 Tour de Ski starts with the freestyle sprint at Val Muestair in Switzerland on Saturday 31 December 2022.
The skiers have two races in Val Muestair and then two at Oberstdorf in Germany before ending with three at Val di Fiemme in Italy.
The concluding freestyle Final Climb mass start of Alpe Cermis is on Sunday 8 January 2023.
2022-23 Tour de Ski format
While the Tour de Ski races are FIS cross-country World Cup events with the standard point-scoring system, the overall standings for the Tour de Ski itself are decided on time like the Tour de France bicycle race on which it is based.
Time bonuses are awarded on both sprint legs (stages 1 and 3) - 60 seconds to the winner down to four for finishing last in the quarter-finalists - which are taken off the aggregate time.
On the mass start in Stage 6, there is an intermediate sprint with the leader at that point earning 15 bonus seconds down to one second for 10th place.
The leader of the overall standing wears a yellow bib , again like the Tour de France yellow jersey.
There is also a point standing for the best sprinter with the winner claiming a red bib.
Finally, there is a team competition where the times of the best two athletes per gender per country on each stage are added together.
Skiers to watch
Johannes klæbo.
The sprint king started the season under something of an injury cloud with damage to the tendon attaching the hamstring in his right leg to his pelvis muscles.
Despite being unable to train as much as usual, five-time Olympic gold medallist Klæbo managed to start the World Cup campaign with a bang with three wins on the opening weekend in Ruka, Finland.
A week later, the Norwegian was forced to miss the 10km freestyle in Lillehammer before taking yet another sprint victory.
Illness saw Klaebo miss the two races in Beitostølen, but he returned in Davos earlier this month (17 December) to take sprint second behind Italian veteran Federico Pellegrino and fifth in the 20km freestyle race.
While his focus for the season is the 2023 World Championships in Planica, Slovenia at the end of February, it would be foolish to bet against the 26-year-old Norwegian collecting a third Tour de Ski title.
Jessie Diggins
Diggins keeps rewriting the history books, with her victory in last Sunday's 20km freestyle race in Davos seeing the American take her World Cup win tally to 14 , more than any other cross-country skier from the U.S..
That was her second win of the season, leaving her second in the overall World Cup standings. A day earlier, she took second in the sprint behind Swiss skier Nadine Faehdrich .
The 31-year-old from Minnesota made headlines when she and Kikkan Randall - whose World Cup win record she broke in Davos - won team sprint gold at PyeongChang 2018, claiming Team USA's first ever title in cross-country skiing.
But she has proved herself equally adept over longer distances over the years, and successfully lobbied for women's World Cup race lengths to be extended to match the men's.
And with last year's winner Natalia Nepryayeva absent due to Russia's ban from competition, Diggins is one of the favourites for this year's title.
Paal Golberg
Klæbo leads a strong Norwegian men's team for the Tour de Ski although it is Paal Golberg who currently leads the overall World Cup standings.
The 32-year-old has been supremely consistent this term, finishing in the top six in every race and winning two of them: the 20km classic mass start at Lillehammer and the 10km classic in Beitostolen.
And despite missing Davos with a cold, Golberg remains ahead in the distance and overall World Cup.
In his two previous Tour de Ski appearances, he finished sixth in 2019-20 and fifth last year.
Better is expected this time although he will face plenty of competition from within his own team with Klæbo, Simen Hegstad Kruger , Hans Holund and Sjur Røthe sweeping the podium in the last race before Christmas.
Consistency counts for a lot in the Tour de Ski, and Tiril Weng has shown plenty of that recently.
While the Norwegian is yet to claim an individual World Cup win, she has finished every race this season inside the top nine with five of those being on the podium.
The 26-year-old was only 10th in her third Tour de Ski last year, but she stands second in the distance World Cup rankings and top of the sprint World Cup.
Just two points ahead of her in the distance class is teammate Anne Kalvaa who is having a breakout year at the age of 30.
There will be no fewer than three members of the Weng family taking part with Tiril's twin sister Lotte and her third cousin, two-time Tour de Ski winner Heidi Weng , also lining up.
Andrew Musgrave
Great Britain may not be one of the powerhouse nations of cross-country skiing, but Andrew Musgrave has been challenging for podium finishes over the past six or seven years.
The 32-year-old was fourth in the 50km mass start at the 2017 World Championships and took seventh in the 30km skiathlon at PyeongChang 2018.
While long distances are his speciality, four-time Olympian Musgrave made a World Cup podium for the first time in five years when he took third in the 10km classic race at Beitostolen, Norway earlier this month.
He is currently fourth in the distance World Cup standings and looks certain to improve on his best finish in the Tour de Ski which was 15th in 2018.
Frida Karlsson
With two wins in 20km races this season, Frida Karlsson looks to be among the top contenders for this edition of the Tour de Ski.
A three-time junior world champion, Karlsson has long been touted for big things.
And the 23-year-old has picked up where she left off last season when she took second place in the distance World Cup and finished top of the U23 World Cup standings.
Teammate Ebba Andersson is another athlete to watch after she beat Karlsson on the opening weekend of the campaign in the 10km classic race in Ruka, Finland.
With three podium finishes to her name this season, Andersson will be looking to complete her full set of Tour de Ski finishes after taking third place in 2020-21 and second place last time.
While neither skier is particularly suited to sprint races, both should be well and truly in the mix in the general classification with their prowess over longer distances.

Statistikk og fun facts
General This will be the 18th edition of the Tour de Ski since it was held for the first time in 2006/07. There have been nine different winners of the Tour de Ski. Dario Cologna (4) has the most overall Tour victories. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (3), Alexander Bolshunov (2), Martin Johnsrud Sundby (2) and Lukáš Bauer (2) are the other men to have won the Tour de Ski more than once. Klæbo (17) holds the men’s record for most stage wins in the Tour de Ski. Petter Northug is second on 13. Klæbo is the only active man to have won the overall Tour de Ski. Simen Hegstad Krüger finished third in 2018/19 and runner-up in 2022/23. The only male skier to win the Tour de Ski without claiming a stage in that edition is Alexander Legkov in 2012/13. Val di Fiemme is the only venue to have been part of the Tour de Ski on all previous 17 occasions. Davos will host a Tour de Ski event for the first time. Val Müstair (6) and Lenzerheide (5) represented Switzerland in the Tour de Ski in the previous 11 editions. With a 25km freestyle pursuit in Toblach and a 20km classic style pursuit in Davos, there will be two 20km+ events in a single Tour de Ski for the first time since 2012. Coming into this Tour de Ski, Norwegian male skiers won 27 of the 28 individual World Cup stages in 2023. The exception was Richard Jouve’s win in the sprint in Les Rousses on 28 January 2023. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo Johannes Høsflot Klæbo won the overall Tour de Ski in 2018/19, 2021/22 and 2022/23. He can join Dario Cologna on a record four overall Tour wins on the men’s side. Klæbo can become the first male cross-country skier to win the Tour de Ski in three successive seasons. Klæbo won six of the seven Tour de Ski stages last season. He finished sixth in the final event, the 10km freestyle in Val di Fiemme on 8 January 2023. Including 2021/22, Klæbo won nine of the last 11 Tour de Ski stages. The exceptions were Sjur Røthe’s win in Val di Fiemme on 4 January 2022 (10km freestyle) and Simen Hegstad Krüger’s win in Val di Fiemme on 8 January 2023 (10km freestyle). Klæbo has won all eight Tour de Ski sprint stages he participated in. Other contenders Simen Hegstad Krüger (2019/20 and 2022/23) can become the first male skier to win the hill climb, traditionally the final stage of the Tour de Ski, three times. Sjur Røthe (2018/2019 and 2021/22) is the only other active male skier to have won this stage, but he will not participate in the Tour de Ski this season. Federico Pellegrino has won three stages in the Tour de Ski, all sprint freestyle events. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (8) is the only man to have won more sprint stages in the competition. The best result for an Italian man in the overall standings was a third place for Giorgio Di Centa in 2007/08. Pål Goldberg (33 years old) or Pellegrino (33) can become the oldest winner of the Tour de Ski. The record is currently held by Lukáš Bauer, who won his fourth Tour de Ski title at the age of 32. Richard Jouve can become the first Frenchman to win won the Tour de Ski. France has won three stages in the competition, but not since Maurice Manificat won the 9km pursuit freestyle in Val di Fiemme on 8 January 2017. Iivo Niskanen finished third in the overall Tour in 2021/22, the best result by a male skier from Finland. Virpi Kuitunen won the women’s competition in both 2006/07 and 2008/09. Norwegian skiers won 12 of the last 13 Tour de Ski stages. The exception wasNiskanen’s win in the 15km classic style in Lenzerheide on 29 December 2021. Andrew Musgrave has competed in 12 Tour de Skis, with a 15th place in 2017/18 as his best result in the overall standings. Musgrave’s best finish in a Tour de Ski stage is a fourth place in the 15km mass start freestyle in Oberstdorf on 31 December 2021. Sweden has never won the overall standings of the men’s Tour de Ski. Marcus Hellner finished second in 2011/12 and Calle Halfvarsson was third in 2014/15. Sweden’s last stage win in the Tour de Ski was the sprint classic victory for Oskar Svensson in Val di Fiemme on 9 January 2021.
General This will be the 18th edition of the Tour de Ski since it was held for the first time in the 2006/07 season. Virpi Kuitunen won the inaugural edition. Norwegian athletes have won the women’s Tour de Ski a record seven times, but not since Therese Johaug’s victory in 2019/20. Four active female cross-country skiers have won the overall Tour: Heidi Weng (2, 2016/17 and 2017/18), Jessica Diggins (1, 2020/21) and Frida Karlsson (1, 2022/23) Davos will host a Tour de Ski event for the first time. Val Müstair (6) and Lenzerheide (5) represented Switzerland in the Tour de Ski in the previous 11 editions. The last three stages of this season’s Tour de Ski will be held in Val di Fiemme. It is the only venue to have been part of the Tour de Ski on all previous 16 occasions. This Tour de Ski will feature a 25km freestyle pursuit event in Toblach on New Year’s Day. It will be the longest event in the women’s Tour de Ski history. Norway Norwegian women have won the Tour de Ski a record seven times (every occasion between 2013/14 and 2019/20). Norway’s only win in the World Cup this season was Kristine Stavåvas Skistad’s win in the sprint in Trondheim on 15 December 2023. Norway has won the most podium finishes in Tour de Ski stages on the women’s side (148), as well as the most wins (48). Heidi Weng is looking for her third overall win in the Tour de Ski. The only women to have won the Tour de Ski more than two times are Justyna Kowalczyk (4) and Therese Johaug (3). Besides her two Tour de Ski victories (2016/17 and 2017/18), Weng has recorded third-place finishes in the overall standings in four editions (2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2021/22). Among women, only Therese Johaug (7) has recorded more podium finishes in the overall standings of the Tour de Ski than Weng (6). Weng (31) is joint-first on 31 podium finishes in Tour de Ski stages (5 stage wins), alongside Petter Northug (31). Each of Weng’s five stage wins in the Tour de Ski came in Val di Fiemme. She recorded 12 of her 31 stage finishes in the Tour de Ski in Val di Fiemme. Ebba Andersson Ebba Andersson hopes to become the third Swedish female winner of the Tour de Ski, after Charlotte Kalla (2007/08) and Frida Karlsson (2022/23). Andersson finished third in the overall Tour in 2020/21 and second in 2021/22. Only Therese Johaug (G3-S3-B1) and Ingvild Flugstad Østberg (G1-S2-B1) have recorded first-, second- and third-place podium finishes in the overall standings in the Tour de Ski. No female skier has finished on the final podium of one of the five Tours (3- Days Tour, Ski Tour, Ski Tour Canada, Tour de Ski and World Cup Final) as often without claiming victory as Andersson (4). Andersson finished on the podium in 10 of the last 14 World Cup distance events she participated in, including six wins. Andersson won the hill climb in Val di Fiemme, traditionally the final stage of the Tour de Ski, back in 2020/21. Only Therese Johaug (8) and Weng (2) have won this stage multiple times. Only Charlotte Kalla (10) has achieved more Tour de Ski stage podium finishes than Andersson (9) among Swedish skiers. Other contenders Frida Karlsson can become the third back-to-back winner of the Tour de Ski, after Justyna Kowalczyk (4, 2009/10-2012/13) and Heidi Weng (2, 2016/17-2017/18). Karlsson (24 years old) can become the first woman to win the overall Tour de Ski multiple times before her 25th birthday. Compatriot Charlotte Kalla (20 years old in 2008) is the only other woman to win the overall Tour before her 25th birthday. Jessie Diggins won the Tour de Ski in 2020/21 and is still the only nonEuropean athlete (male or female) to have claimed a Tour de Ski title. Krista Pärmäkoski finished second in the Tour de Ski in 2016/17 and third in 2018/19. She can become the second Finnish woman to win the Tour de Ski after Virpi Kuitunen in 2006/07 (first edition) and 2008/09. No skier has finished on the podium in as many Tour de Ski stages without winning one as Pärmäkoski (11). Emma Ribom secured a podium finish in eight of the last 10 World Cup sprint events she participated in, including four wins. Victoria Carl claimed her first win in the World Cup two weeks ago on 17 December, winning the 10km classic style in Trondheim. The only female German stage winners in the Tour de Ski were Claudia Nystad in Oberhof on 27 December 2008 (2.8km freestyle) and Katharina Hennig in Val di Fiemme on 7 January 2023 (15km classic style).
Premiepenger
Sammenlagtvinneren får 80 000 sveitsiske francs (tilvarende 953 520 norske kroner med dagens valutakurser). Andreplass får 60 000 sveitsiske francs Tredjeplass får 40 000. Fjerdeplass får 30 000 Femteplass 25 000 Sjetteplass 20 000 Sjuendeplass 15 000 Åttendeplass 10 000 Niendeplass 8 000 10. plass 7 000 11.plass 6 000 12. plass 5 000 13. plass 4 000 14. plass 3 500 15.plass 3 000 16. plass 2 500 17.plass 2 000 18.plass 1 750 19.plass 1 250 20.plass 1 000
«Monsterbakken» – Alpe Cermis
Siste etappe avsluttes opp slalåmbakken i Cavalese. Etappen går i fristil.

Scheffler's late burst of birdies creates ‘good momentum' toward $25M FedEx Cup prize
Scheffler is one round away from capping off this astonishing season, but the work is not done yet, by doug ferguson | associated press • published august 31, 2024 • updated on august 31, 2024 at 10:34 pm.
The most PGA Tour victories in 15 years. A Masters green jacket and an Olympic gold medal. And now Scottie Scheffler is one round away from capping off this astonishing season with a FedEx Cup title and its $25 million prize.
Scheffler had four birdies over his last five holes Saturday for a 5-under 66 to extend his lead to five shots over Collin Morikawa in the Tour Championship at East Lake.

The Highland Park native knows the work is not done.
Two years ago, Scheffler finished the third round of a rain-delayed Tour Championship on Sunday morning by building a six-shot lead. He fell apart that afternoon with a 73, and watched Rory McIlroy race past him to capture the PGA Tour's big prize.

The task for Scheffler is simple.
“Keep doing what I've been doing, staying in the moment, staying patient out there,” Scheffler said. I've bogeyed the first hole two of the last three days, and both times when I bogeyed the first hole I didn't make any bogeys after that. So that's kind of good momentum for me."
It was even better moment at the end, with Morikawa (67) staying on his heels. Morikawa birdied three of his last four holes, but still ended up falling one more shot behind than the four-shot deficit he faced at the start of the third round.

Quinn Ewers throws three touchdowns as No. 3 Texas routs No. 10 Michigan 31-12
“Not exactly the moving day that I needed, but I knew this entire week I was going to need something special to come out on top and I’m going to need something very special,” Morikawa said. “But I believe in myself, and hopefully that comes out tomorrow.”
Scheffler, who started at 10-under par and with a two-shot lead — six shots ahead of Morikawa, the No. 7 seed — was at 26-under par.
No one else was closer than nine shots.
Sahith Theegala might have been two shots closer except for calling a two-shot penalty on himself on the third hole for lightly touching the sand with his club out of a bunker. Video was not entirely clear, but Theegala informed officials and his par turned into a double bogey.
“Pretty sure I breached the rules, so I’m paying the price for it, and I feel good about it,” Theegala said. “I’m not 100% sure. But I’d say I’m 98, 99% sure that some sand was moved.”
He responded with seven birdies on the back nine and shot 66, leaving him nine shots behind.
Morikawa got within two shots of the lead when he holed a birdie putt from just inside 10 feet on the par-5 sixth hole. But that was as close as he got.
On the next hole, Scheffler holed a 15-foot birdie putt while Morikawa came up short of the green, lagged a putt to just outside 3 feet and missed it, a two-shot swing that restored Scheffler's lead to four.
They also played in the final group at the Masters, where Scheffler pulled away to win by four. Morikawa knows by now what to expect.
“Five shots is a lot, but two-shot swings happen. I think I’ve seen a couple over the past few days,” Morikawa said. “Look, I’ve just got to play my game. I’ve got to go low. I know that. I've got 18 holes left to the season. I keep talking about that, but I’m going to put everything I have into these next 24 hours.”
His raw score was 17-under 196, one shot better than Scheffler.
Scheffler didn't hit as many fairways and greens as he did the opening two rounds, but he was ranked No. 2 in the key putting statistic on Saturday. And he has kept his distance over every challenger so far this week.
“I feel like I’ve done a lot of stuff well and played solid, so I’m looking forward to the challenge of trying to finish off the tournament tomorrow,” he said.
British Open and PGA champion Xander Schauffele never got on track. Starting the day five shots behind, he had two bogeys in the opening four holes and failed to birdie the three par 5s in his round of 71. He was 10 shots behind.
He has never hit more than seven fairways each of the three rounds, and it has cost him at a time when he needed to go low to stay in the game.
“I was just not playing well enough to shoot consecutive 7-under pars,” Schauffele said. “You’ve got to be hitting at least 12 fairways to give yourself some serious looks and then obviously do a lot of good after that, but it starts with your ball on the short stuff.”
For everyone else, it's a race for cash.
The FedEx Cup winner gets $25 million, with second place worth $12.5 million and third place paying $7.5 million.
Coverage of the final round of the Tour Championship begins at 12:30 p.m. CT Sunday on NBC 5.
