In a country like South Korea where boy bands seem to be multiplying exponentially year by year, Seventeen has broken through with its own unique brand of K-Pop superstardom.
Composed of 13 members, the band was born from the world of Korean reality TV, which has helped launch many of the largest musical acts there. Its 2013 show, Seventeen, featured the band in training for its career as powerhouse entertainment with a tailored stagecraft unmatched by its peers.
By 2015, Seventeen was ready to officially debut as a band. It structured itself strategically, dividing duties between three distinct groups of its members. The hip-hop team is focused on rapping, led by S. Coups and supported by Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon. Next up is the vocalist team, led by Woozi, with four members behind him: Jeonghan, Joshua, DK (also known as Dokyeom), and Suengkwan.
Finally, the dance team, led by Hoshi, has Jun, The8, and Dino rounding out the choreography. This honed approach quickly earned the band members a reputation as unparalleled showmen, garnering nicknames like “The Theater Kids of K-Pop” and “The K-Pop Performance Powerhouse.” Importantly, the group also became revered for doing most of its own songwriting and staging.
On May 26, 2015, Seventeen strutted their stuff on one of South Korea’s major broadcasting networks in an unprecedented one-hour debut showcase. Waiting in the wings was the band’s first EP release, 17 Carat. It broke big on K-Pop charts and solidified Seventeen’s position in the world music scene.
By the next year, a full-length album took things to the next level. The 2016 release of Love & Letter brought more success paired with wins in South Korea’s huge TV music competition series Show Champion. A performance at New York City’s K-pop convention, Kcon, drew even more attention to Seventeen’s meteoric rise.
That next year pushed Seventeen further into the limelight. Over the course of the year, two major releases came in 2017. First was the hit EP A/1, which hit the number one spot on South Korean charts. Later, the band’s second full-length record, Teen, Age, was released. The same year, the band went on its first world tour, called “Diamond Age,” and appeared on another music competition show called One Fine Day.
Never slowing down, 2018 and 2019 brought a lot more from this hard-working act. Seventeen dropped several releases, including the EP You Make My Day, a reissue of Teen, Age called Special Album: Director’s Cut, and its third album, An Ode. Touring didn’t pause for long either, with the 2018 Ideal Cut tour and a 2019 tour in support of An Ode.
If any corner of the globe was still unaware of Seventeen’s signature brand of K-Pop, its work from 2020 to 2022 changed that. The band produced a documentary series about its Ode to You tour on its YouTube channel. It also released four EPs, including Japanese platinum hits Your Choice and Heng:garæ–the latter of which became the first international male artist to stay on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart since the Backstreet Boys. A memorable 2021 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show further exposed them to American audiences.
By 2022, Seventeen’s fourth album, Face the Sun, climbed up to the number seven spot on the Billboard 200. A repackaged version of the record called Sector 17 also came out as well as a remix of their song “World” featuring British Singer Anne-Marie. A third world tour was staged in support, returning the band to avid fans for the first time in three years.

I went to the SVT Ode to You concert in Houston, and I was blown away. It was my first K-pop concert and I’m so glad I got to experience it with SEVENTEEN. I mean, they were amazing. Even without Seungcheol and Minghao (he had a cold), they still slayed!! SVT were so sweet and they were every bit as impressive in person as they were on camera. All of their performances were outstanding, and they’re so versatile. And the dances- I mean don’t even get me started on that one. They’re literally the most synchronized group, their amount of talent is mind blowing, even with 13 members (11 for this concert, but amazing nonetheless!) They’re also very interactive and they also make Carats feel so appreciated, I didn’t even realize that more than 2 hours had flown by by the end of the concert (I wish it had gone on much longer!) Seeing them perform live was kind of surreal to me, and I would totally watch them again (if they come back to Houston on their next world tour, or if I go to Korea) but hopefully I’ll be able to snag tickets in the pit next time, maybe a VIP pass, because trust me, SEVENTEEN is worth it and more. Love from a Houston Carat!! <3
This was easily the best concert I've ever been to. Not only is SEVENTEEN incredibly talented and loving, but also, every other fan I met at the show was so kind and supportive.
The performances were all perfectly executed and, although Hoshi was unable to make it to the show due to health problems, they still said a few words on his behalf and made it clear that he loved and cared for us all so much. SVT is one of the most talented groups in KPOP (in any music honestly) because they do it all themselves. They write, produce, and choreograph all of the songs, and their hard works shows in their amazing stage presence. They just seemed like they were having so much fun and the energy was electric. My personal favorite performance was when Junhui and Minghao sang My I because it's my favorite song off of the Alone album and I am the #1 China Line stan, so I was so pleased with how beautifully the lyrics were portrayed. If you ever get the chance to attend a SEVENTEEN concert, please do it. It is so worth it!!
I really lived this concert! It wasn't a big event like the BTS WINGS Tour was but it was just an overall good time. There was a good amount of talking to the crowd, fan service for those in the front and the energy each member had kept me going through the whole thing. I would relate this concert to one of GOT7, a really good time but not an overall life changer.
I would definitely recommend someone whose new to kpop and wants to go to a kpop concert to go to this one! The people were really sweet, and you can get a feel of how other concerts go and what sort of things you can expect from bigger concerts.
Overall, I had a great time and can't wait to see them again when they return❤️
The concert was amazing!!! The boys really tried their hardest to interact with the English speaking crowd, and I think everyone just got a kick out of seeing them fooling around even while speaking in Korean. The fans were also so supportive of Seungcheol, making a point to scream whenever he came on in the VCRs, even though he wasn’t at the concert.
Omg just listening to the song called don't wanna cry by seventeen and bloody obsessed with I'd love to go see them like wow they are amazing even though I have no clue on what they are on about they definitely are worth seeing but unfortunately they have no concert yet which is sad I would have loved to go see them live but still they are amazing
Seventeen was an amazing group to see. They interact with the audience a lot and they just have fun. They are great performers and always give it 110%. If you ever have the chance to see them please do, they are so fun and crazy to watch. I would definitely pay to see them multiple times even though my bank account says no!
First concert and looking back it still feels so unreal. So many memories were made and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Next time seventeen comes to Dallas I will definitely see them again. They were so funny, sweet, kind, caring, and overall amazing. I definitely recommend seeing seventeen if you can.
I went to Ode to You concert at Thailand many months ago and it's the best concert that i ever go in my life. Seventeen is the most energetic as same as Carats. The concert was super fun!! If you want to join the best concert once in your life, This is my recommendation!!
It was an amazing first concert for me. I had a blast and so did the members it seemed. My favorite memory of last night was when they played Very Nice as the encore song like 5 times in a row after going on and off stage. Once again it was AWESOME!!

What is SEVENTEEN’s “SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] World Tour in US?”
SEVENTEEN’s 2024 world tour includes their return to the US for the first time in two years. Things kick off in the Chicago area with two nights at Allstate Arena, followed by a pair of dates each in New York, San Antonio, and Oakland. The US tour wraps with a night at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
SEVENTEEN are known for their enormous onstage energy, and all 13 members are expected to bring their best for the string of autumn appearances.
Prior to touching down in the US, SEVENTEEN will also return to Europe for a slot at Lollapalooza Berlin in September. The band has toured additional dates to be announced in Asia.
How Can I Get Sold-Out Tickets to SEVENTEEN’s 2024 Tour?
Tickets to SEVENTEEN’s “SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] World Tour” are sold-out via Ticketmaster. However, fans can look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. What Is the Set List for SEVENTEEN’s World Tour?
While the set list has yet to be revealed, SEVENTEEN has nearly a decade of music to sift through, much of which was in the spotlight on their recent compilation album, 17 Is Right Here .
At the group’s summer Glastonbury debut, they ran through hits like “Ready to love,” “Rock with you,” “CLAP,” and “HOT,” and also debuted a live version of “SOS.”
Regardless of how the US set list shapes up, one thing is absolutely certain — SEVENTEEN will be performing their beloved classic “VERY NICE,” which ends each live performance in a “never-ending” tradition that involves the band repeating the refrain an unspecified number of times.

StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

SEVENTEEN will always be right here. The 13-member K-pop group is preparing for their individual mandatory South Korean military service.
The group announced they would be embarking on the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR after their Caratland fan meeting. They will kick off their tour on October 12, 2024 with two consecutive days at GOYANG STADIUM in Korea, before performing in five cities in the US. However, it was announced that two of the members will not be participating in the tour due to military service and prior work commitments. In South Korea, every able-bodied man must enlist for military service by the age of 30 and serve for 18 to 21 months.

They were also named UNESCO’s first-ever Goodwill Ambassador for Youth.

SEVENTEEN’s leader and eldest member S.Coups has been exempted from the military. Pledis Entertainment released a statement on March 1, 2024. “Due to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee joint, S.Coups underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery,” the company said in a statement via Soompi . “Because it was a major surgery, he has been undergoing physical rehabilitation therapy for a long time, starting from last year up until now. As a result, he was classified as Grade 5.”
Men in Grade 5 are exempt from mandatory military service during peacetime, according to the Korean conscription system. However, men who are exempted may be called in as support of the military during times of war. In order to be enlisted, Korean men must undergo an Impairment & Disability evaluation as early as 19 years old to determine suitability for military service. It ends with a military grade examination ranging from Grades 1 to 7, with Grades 1 to 3 allowing the men to serve in the military if they are healthy.

Jeonghan is the first member of SEVENTEEN to announce that he is enlisting in the military. Pledis Entertainment released a statement on fan Weverse on August 12, 2024. “JEONGHAN is due to fulfill his military obligation in the second half of 2024,” the statement read. “While JEONGHAN filmed most of the content he could in advance, he will not be able to participate in promotional activities for the 12th mini album and the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR, scheduled to start in October. JEONGHAN will still be able to meet with CARATs through the previously announced fan signing event and Lollapalooza Berlin. Further details regarding JEONGHAN’s military service will be provided later in a separate notice.”

SEVENTEEN Fans Blast Ticketmaster For Errors Leading To 2024 World Tour Ticket Chaos
Previously, SEVENTEEN announced their highly anticipated October comeback and SEVENTEEN 2024 [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN U.S.
Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment. We are pleased to inform you that SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN U.S. will be held this coming October and November. [Ticket Open Schedule] – CARAT MEMBERSHIP PRESALE Registration Period: From 12 AM, Wednesday, August 7 to 11 AM, Monday, August 12, 2024 (KST) From 8 AM, Tuesday, August 6 to 7 PM, Sunday, August 11, 2024 (PT) From 10 AM, Tuesday, August 6 to 9 PM, Sunday, August 11, 2024 (CT) From 11 AM, Tuesday, August 6 to 10 PM, Sunday, August 11, 2024 (ET) – CARAT MEMBERSHIP PRESALE Date: From 3 PM to 10 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024 (Local time) — PLEDIS Entertainment
Despite CARATs’ anticipation, many are disappointed in the tour , which has yet to begin. The tour includes just five stops across the United States: Chicago, IL; Elmont, New York; San Antonio, TX; Oakland, CA; and Los Angeles, CA.
Many feel this is too few locations for a world tour, as the South is omitted. Four out of fifty states is less than 10%, as California is included twice out of the five locations.
While the U.S. is hardly covered, Canadian fans are also disappointed that there are no stops in or near Canada.
Additionally, it’s predominantly an arena tour, which seems unwise considering the few locations and SEVENTEEN’s popularity. Los Angeles, which concludes the tour, is the only stadium location. Yet, it’s also the only location with just one date, despite L.A. being one of the most popular stops.
5 stops for the entire usa is actually very ridiculous considering how huge seventeen is , only one east coast stop and all just arenas this is absolutely ridiculous and unfair i hope hybe goes bankrupt https://t.co/OcTrVO4fzu — s / niko 🌙 (@niiikonii) August 6, 2024
The capacity of the arenas for seventeen‘s us tour 💀 I know plybe is stupid but they’re really on a different level of stupidity — mitchy⁷ • riize is 7 ♡ (@wintaerjoonie) August 6, 2024
Just a few days before tickets went on sale, Jeonghan and Jun were announced as absent from the world tour due to their schedules. Jeonghan will fulfill his military obligation starting in the second half of the year, while Jun will pursue his acting career in China.
While tickets officially went on sale on August 15, pre-sale was on the 14. Despite CARATs’ concerns about the members’ absence, locations, dates, etc., getting tickets was still a bloodbath.

Many CARATs suffered from Ticketmaster errors. Even when CARATs had obtained their desired seats, Ticketmaster gave them “Application error” messages during payment.
i had my best queue placement ever, got the perfect seats we wanted, and then ticketmaster won’t let me pay count your fucking days pray i get chicago otherwise a curse on your house #SEVENTEEN #SVT_RIGHT_HERE_WORLDTOUR pic.twitter.com/5PO7omCcc7 — eunah (@yoongidreaming) August 14, 2024

Consequently, numerous CARATs lost their tickets, including VIP and great seat locations, due to Ticketmaster’s errors.

Many also got logged out during the event. Again, this resulted in CARATs not getting their tickets.

CARATs are cursing Ticketmaster for making it impossible to get SEVENTEEN tickets. Previously, the U.S. Justice Department filed an antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster, so netizens hope justice will be obtained.
i hope ticketmaster loses the fucking lawsuit. what’s the point of carat presale if y’all not letting ppl buy tickets — anda ☁️ (@mochimianbao) August 14, 2024
