Finnish metal legends Nightwish have checked in with the following announcement:

"Dearest fans,

We are happy to confirm the following European concert dates for 2021:

November 14 - Oslo, Norway -Spektrum 22 - Amsterdam, Netherlands - Ziggo Dome (SOLD OUT)  23 - Amsterdam, Netherlands - Ziggo Dome (SOLD OUT)  30 - Budapest, Hungary -  Budapest Sportaréna

December 10 - Antwerp, Belgium - Lotto Arena 13 - London, England - SSE Arena Wembley 19 - Vienna, Austria - Stadthalle 20 - Prague, Czech Republic - O2 Arena 29 - Tampere, Finland - Uros Areena (SOLD OUT) 30 - Helsinki, Finland - Ice Hall

These are the only shows for 2021. Due to various Covid restrictions, we have had to postpone the rest of the European tour dates to 2022 and we will announce the new dates as soon as possible. Hold on to your tickets! 

We would also like to kindly remind you that proof of vaccination and / or recovery will be required to enter these shows. We heartily thank you for your patience in these peculiar times and hope to see as many of you as possible very soon!"

Nightwish announce 2022 rescheduled European tour dates

Nightwish will return to London this December to headline the SSE Arena, Wembley, but the rest of their European dates have moved to next year…

Nightwish have – yet again – had to reschedule their long-awaited Human :II: Nature tour.

The band are now set to hit the UK and Europe this time next year, kicking off their arena run at Birmingham's Resorts World Arena on November 22, and finishing up at the O2 Arena in Prague on December 21.

Before all that, though, they will be returning to London next month to headline the SSE Arena, Wembley on December 13!

Nightwish update European tour dates, postpone Dublin and Birmingham gigs

Nightwish tweak upcoming European tour schedule, postpone some previously announced dates until 2022

Nightwish have tweaked their upcoming European tour schedule, postponing some previously announced dates until 2022. 

A statement from the Finnish symphonic metal troupe reveals that ongoing, fluid Covid-19 restrictions in different European territories forced their hand in redrawing their tour itinerary. 

The band’s statement reads:

"Dearest fans, we are happy to confirm the following European concert dates for 2021: 14.11. OSLO, SPEKTRUM NO 22.11. AMSTERDAM, ZIGGO DOME NL (sold out) 23.11. AMSTERDAM, ZIGGO DOME NL (sold out) 30.11. BUDAPEST, BUDAPEST SPORTARÉNA HU 10.12. ANTWERP, LOTTO ARENA BE 13.12. LONDON, SSE ARENA WEMBLEY UK 19.12. VIENNA, STADTHALLE AT 20.12. PRAGUE, O2 ARENA CZ 29.12. TAMPERE, UROS AREENA FI 30.12. HELSINKI, ICE HALL FI These are the only shows for 2021. Affected gigs include the band’s previously announced dates at Birmingham's Resorts World Arena, originally due to take place on November 18, and Dublin's 3Arena, originally scheduled for November 17.

In May, Tuomas Holopainen revealed that he was already “immersed in gathering up some ideas for the new Nightwish album” , and has actually booked a studio to record it in the summer of 2023.

NIGHTWISH Reschedules European Tour For May 2021

NIGHTWISH has been forced to postpone its previously announced fall 2020 European tour due to the coronavirus pandemic which is sweeping the globe. The new dates will now take place in May 2021 and will include shows in U.K., France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

Mastermind Tuomas Holopainen comments: "During these most peculiar and challenging times, we've been forced to reschedule our shows, and that's now also the case with the European leg of the 'Human :II: Nature' world tour. This is a most unfortunate, but necessary move in order ensure everyone's safety and make the best out of this bizarreness that all of you and us are going through. It's not for forever though, and The Caravan will soon be on the move again. Until then, take care of each other and see you all in the spring of 2021!"

NIGHTWISH 's latest album, "Human. :II: Nature." , was released in April via Nuclear Blast . The long-awaited follow-up to 2015's "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" is a double album containing nine tracks on the main CD and one long track, divided into eight chapters, on CD 2.

"Human. :II: Nature." was recorded from August to October 2019 at Röskö campsite, Petrax Studios and Troykington castle, as well as Finnvox Studios , by Tero Kinnunen , Mikko Karmila and Troy Donockley . The mixing was done by Mikko Karmila at Finnvox , with NIGHTWISH keyboardist and main songwriter Tuomas Holopainen and Tero Kinnunen . Mastering was done by Mika Jussila at Finnvox .

Nightwish have rescheduled their UK and European tour.

The run, supporting the Finnish sextet's ninth studio album 'Human. :II: Nature.', will now take place in May 2021, with a UK show added at Birmingham's Resorts World Arena. Support comes from Amorphis and Turmion Kätilöt.

Original tickets will be honoured for the rearranged dates, with tickets for the new stop on sale at 10am on September 7. Unfortunately, their Cardiff show has been cancelled, with ticket holders advised to contact their point of purchase for a refund. Main songwriter Tuomas Holopainen said: 

"During these most peculiar and challenging times we've been forced to reschedule our shows, and that's now also the case with the European leg of the Human :II: Nature World tour. The event has been rescheduled and will now take place on 21 Nov 2022 Please hang on to your tickets as they're valid for the new date.
