Keith Urban is a country musician, acclaimed guitarist, and grammy award winning songwriter. He was born in New Zealand on 26 October 1967, but moved to Australia during his childhood. He got his start in the music industry in Australia, but he broke into superstardom after his move to America.

Keith Urban began his musical endeavors at an early age entering in local competitions and Country Musical Festivals when he was only 10. He grew up idolizing Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knophler and Lindsay Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac fame and began closely modeling his style after these influences. For the next couple of years Urban made consistent appearances on several Australian Country TV programs and went on to win the golden guitar award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival with collaborator Jenny Wilson.

His debut album was released through EMI on 1 October 1991 and managed to reach number 98 on the Australian Album Charts. Apart from pursuing a solo career Urban was involved in writing songs for other musicians as well as backing them on tour. Urban toured alongside legendary Australian Country musician Slim Dusty as a backup guitarist. During this period he also contributed backing vocals to a live INXS album.

After Urban moved to the United States country hub, Nashville, he collaborated with Alan Jackson for the song Mercury Blues and helped pin the christmas song “Jesus Gets Jealous of Santa Claus” for Toby Keith. In 1997 Urban formed a Country three piece band called The Ranch with fellow members Peter Clarke and Jerry Flowers. Urban contributed lead vocals, guitar, ganjo, and keyboards on their one and only self-titled release. Despite the groups short lived career two singles from the album appeared on the country charts.

Around this period Urban became an ardent user of cocaine, which subsequently led him into rehab. Once Urban became drug-free his career received a significant jumpstart and with the release of his self-titled American debut he reached number 145 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and had a number 1 hit with Go-Go’s singer Charlotte Caffey. His success was amplified with his 2002 release “Golden Road”. The opening track on that album “Somebody Like You” stayed at number 1 on the charts for six weeks. His songs “Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me” and “ You’ll Think of Me” both topped the charts with the latter earning him a Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance.

Urban has produced five more albums since “Golden Road” all which have done extraordinarily well with the public and has embarked on multiple world-tours with the likes of Bryan Adams, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Sugarland.

In addition to his music career Urban has acted as a judge on the Australian version of The Voice and replaced Steven Tyler as a judge for American Idol.

I could sit here in front of my laptop and tell you how amazing Keith Urban is. I could describe his beautiful, luscious hair that every guy envies and every girl adores (don’t lie to yourself, guys, you know you love it). Or I could go on about his mesmerizing voice, with its New-Zealand Australian twist, how it had the power to make things happen, the power to invigorate one’s love for another, the power to brighten life.

When I was twelve, a couple years after Golden Road was released, me and my dad shared a bond over Keith’s CD. It was crazy how many times we listened to it. I would ride with him in his Chevrolet, we’d roll the windows down, put the CD in, and turn the volume up. “You Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me” was definitely our song. The irony that my dad actually had a hole in his jeans was bittersweet. We would sing the lyrics “from Georgia to Tennessee!” riding on I-75 while the cars driving next to us would give us that “what on earth are they doing.” awkward smile.

My first official concert was in Atlanta, GA for my dad’s 40th birthday; it was a surprise present. No, our seats weren’t floor seats or even in the mid-section for that matter, but they were seats and honestly, I didn’t care, because we were about to witness Keith Urban perform LIVE. Song after song Keith would sing, without flaw - I did not want to leave. Through his music, the crowd illuminated singing along, and you could tell that as his voice diffused through the crowd, everyone instantly became overjoyed with a flood of honesty and love. Love for the music, love for those around them to share it with, and love for the privilege to be there and have a good time. Pure jubilance.

Whether it’s raining on Sunday or a long hot summer in a red camaro, his music is perfect for every moment. Watching Keith rise from the number eighteen single “It’s a Love Thing” to “Your Everything” at number four, making him the first male New Zealand performer to reach the top 10 on the U.S. country chart, to winning his first Grammy in 2006 making his way onto television featuring as a vocal coach on The Voice in 2011 and a judge on American Idol. And that’s not even a fourth of his accomplishments. He never fails to amaze us, entertain us, and show us the passion he has for his music.

The smooth fluidity his voice obtains has the ability to move some to tears and smile for years. When you combine his talent on the guitar, piano, drums, keyboard, sitar, bass guitar, or ganjo with his voice, magic is born. Every. Time. During his life, Keith encounters rough patches, he feels hurt, he understands sadness when you think you’re at your lowest point, because he has been there, and he has learned to translate those memories into these beautiful, vibrant songs that he shares throughout the world to encourage us to push forward and to simply enjoy life. His music is infectious. And for that, I applaud Keith Urban, not only to thank him for the grace he shows us, but also for the wondrous music he shares with us.

So you see the genre, which is country, and you automatically think "pass". Though, I think Keith Urban has done something to country that other country artist are starting to catch on to! He's went from singing a song about where a black top ends, to singing about falling in love in a cop car! He's created uniqueness in country, that country needed to reinvent themselves!

He's Australian, married to the beautiful Nicole Kidman, and oh yeah he's a judge on American Idol! Though it's not the lifestyle that draws the hundreds of thousands to his sold out shows, it's the entertainment behind it all! Keith Urban's Live shows give you the kind of adrenaline rush that leaves you thinking, "Okay where's the closest place he's playing next!?" His Guitar playing skills leave you wanting to go by an electric the next day! Making the audience feel welcomed is a key figure in a live show, and whenever Keith asks you to come up on stage with him, I think he's giving way more then an average feeling welcomed. Starting out in Nashville, and now touring all over the world, fans love hearing when he sings songs about "Once in a lifetime Love" or how bad he wants to "kiss a girl" Then of course he wins all the girls hearts with his mega hits like "Without You" and "Love Somebody Like You"! It's crazy to believe that I once was someone who would've said "pass" and now I'm always wondering where Keith Urban is playing closest to me!

Another stellar performance by KEITH URBAN!! But then again, Keith doesn't give anything but those kind of performances. The show at Delaware State Fair was my 31st show for Keith and it will not be my last. I had pit tickets for this show and arrived about 3 pm to get in line. Yes, it is a long time to wait for entrance to the arena but it is worth every minute to be able to stand so close to the stage and see every expression on Keith's face as he plays. Keith started the show off with high energy and kept it going all the way through. He played many songs from the new Fuse album but also played the tried and true favorites. A special part of the show is when Keith goes out into the audience to play SHIRT and then gives away his guitar to a fan standing nearby. On his way back up to the big stage he walked in front of us on the first row and I got a hand squeeze! I think Keith would have loved to play longer but stopped about 10 minutes shy of 2 hours because the fireworks were getting ready to go off. This man always gives his all in each performance and always leaves me wanting to see him again!

Great set list and he just played all night long. Maren Morris opened for him and she was fantastic in her short set. She will go far this year, she's got all the right attributes. Just needs to add a member or two to her already great band.

Had the chance to meet her in a Meet & Greet and she was so genuine and gracious with her time with the folks waiting to meet her.

Brett Eldridge played as well and from the crowd noise sounded like he rocked it. We missed his set meeting Maren.

Keith Urban, Thank You for a night of fun and relaxation when we really needed it. One of my top 3 shows EVER and he was already on this list from 3 years ago!!! So now he is 2 of my top 3 ever. And I've got the grey hair to have a long list. Music is our passion, Thanks Keith for fueling it even more!!!

2hr15 mins of pure power and energy. Old favourites mixed in with new numbers performed in front of an adoring audience. Wonderful band who complimented Keith's talents to a tee. A mixture of rocking country and acoustic ballads complimented by an effective light show bearing in mind 02 ( NW London) is a small venue for such a huge star.

His interaction with the audience made for short but natural breaks for everyone to regain their breath before the next hit was belted out by the Aussie rocker. Some of his songs from the early albums were cleverly rearranged to breath new life into them.Great to hear his new takes on old material.

Great performance made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. One complaint was the inordinate delay getting into the venue. Waiting for over 45 mins in the cold and wind to gain access was unacceptable.

What a show! Maren Morris was so much fun, Dallas Smith is always excellent and Keith Urban is a fantastic entertainer! It's so great to see a performer who never EVER disappoints! He has so much fun on stage, truly loves his audience, and is one of the most genuine people I have ever seen! He treats his audience with so much respect, interacts so personally (Happy Birthday to Bella!), and I LOVE how he showcases each member of his band! Keith is so gifted with his talents: Stupid Boy, the first song of his encore was so raw, and he sang with so much passion and emotion, it brought tears to my eyes. Just his voice and his acoustic guitar... I loved every minute of the show. He is the real deal, and I can't wait until he comes this way again!

Oh wow, what an awesome show, such an amazing talent, and oh la la can Keith Urban shred! And he's so freakin sweet and kind! And adorable! Lol. You know what I love? When you can tell he absolutely adores his fans, he seems thrilled to be doing what he's doing, and he's humble and thankful, not forgetting where he started, the stage setup on the lawn for 3-4 songs proves that! The best show I've seen in quite a while! Fabulous! We unfortunately missed the first opener, Maren Morris, but the young lady returned to the stage to preform "We Were Us" with Keith and she was fantastic! Brett Eldredge's set was super too! He also came back out to preform with Keith, awesomeness! #ripCORDworldtour2016

GraffitiU concert on September 27 in Eugene Oregon was awesome the best concert I have been to and I’ve been to a lot of concerts the very first for me seeing Keith Urban, and he was fantastic. Kelsea Ballerini was out of this world as well as Larkin Poe... I have been a big Keith Urban fan since early 2000, but being able to see him perform in person was up there with one of thee very best highlights of my life. I will see him again in concert and I will this time go for a meet and greet do you turbine is just so loud he interacts with his bands on every level and it just it’s amazing how very personable humble and caring he is.

I am lucky to of seen Keith Urban twice. Can't wait, hope he comes back to Tamworth. Now the experience. Had booked my parking, so they had a person at every parking ticket bay. She helped me scan it. Concert was absolutely fantastic. No problems inside, got out easy. The wonderful staff helped with the gates and which was the way out. They were still smiling, not cranky at all.even got out fast, from level 7. Overall I would say 10 out of 10. Oh you need to sell coffee on each floor please. It's a bit much going back down the stairs to the coffee place. Hope that helps you out. Please thank your staff. They really did work together happily. Thank you Kathy

Keith Urban Announces Summer 2022 Tour Dates

Since the pandemic, the majority of Keith Urban ’s live shows have been onstage in Las Vegas, part of his ongoing residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. This summer, however, the guitarist is returning to the road with the launch of the Speed of Now World Tour. Urban announced the summer 2022 trek on Wednesday.

“I’ve always considered myself a live performer first,” Urban said in a statement. “It’s what I’ve always done and it’s what my music needs to live and breathe. Our shows are all about living in the moment. They’re a totally interactive and immersive experience where everyone can participate in whatever way they want — sing, dance, do whatever.”

Urban, whose latest single is the inspirational “Wild Hearts,” will kick off the new tour June 17 in Tampa, Florida, at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre and spend the next six months winding his way through the U.S. and Canada. The run is slated to end Nov. 5 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Ingrid Andress will open all dates.

Prior to the Speed of Now World Tour, Urban, the subject of a recent Rolling Stone Australia cover story , will play three new shows at the Colosseum in Las Vegas on May 27, 28, and 29.

Road warrior Keith Urban has announced a mammoth 2022 tour across North America behind his latest album 'The Speed of Now Part 1' . The 50-city campaign kicks off June 17th in Tampa and runs into November hitting cities like Toronto, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Detroit, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta and Long Island. Joining the tour in support will be special guests Ingrid Andress . The new outing follows up 2018's Graffiti U Tour which stretched into 2019 and was joined by Kelsea Ballerini .

Urban released his 11th studio album 'The Speed of Now Part 1' on September 18th, 2020 via Hit Red and Capitol Records Nashville. The new album reached #1 on Billboard's Country chart and features guest appearances by Pink , Breland and Nile Rodgers . Back in 2016, he brought his RipCORD World Tour to North America with support from Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris . Keith Urban Announces North American Tour: 'It's Really Gonna Be Tough to Get Us Off the Stage'

"It's pure magic when you look out and see everyone just letting loose. I've really missed that!" he tells PEOPLE

Keith Urban is hitting the road in 2022!

The country superstar announced Wednesday that he's embarking on a slew of North American dates on his The Speed of Now World Tour, which will kick off in Tampa, Florida in June and go through November.

Urban, 54, tells PEOPLE that four years after his last world tour, he's most looking forward to seeing his fans in person once more.

"[I'm most looking forward to] re-igniting that person-to-person connection I feel with everyone that comes out to see our shows," he says. "It's pure magic when you look out and see everyone just letting loose. I've really missed that!"

Joining him will be up-and-coming country star Ingrid Andress , who was nominated for three Grammys at this past year's awards show.

Urban teases that fans can expect to hear a mix of old classics, as well as new songs from his most recent album The Speed of Now Part 1 , which came out in September 2020.

"I can't wait to play those," he tells PEOPLE. "Visually, I think it's really important to create something that lends itself to the show's energy, but it's a bit early to know exactly what that'll be for this tour — I have a few ideas though! I'm just so looking forward to playing, playing, playing!"

In a statement, the "Blue Ain't Your Color" singer said he's eagerly awaiting the thrill of performing each night, as "every show is different."

"After two years we're finally gonna get the chance to play some of the new songs we haven't done live before. We'll throw in a bunch of the songs that everyone comes to hear, a couple of which we'll rework a bit, and it's really gonna be tough to get us of the stage," he said. "I've always considered myself a live performer first. It's what I've always done and it's what my music needs to live and breathe. Our shows are all about living in the moment. They're a totally interactive and immersive experience where everyone can participate in whatever way they want — sing, dance, do whatever."

Urban previously announced shows in Australia, Germany, Netherlands and the U.K., though the North American leg will mark his first-ever shows in Fort Worth, Texas and Savannah, Georgia.

He'll play three nights at Caesars Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas on May 27, 28 and 29 before the tour's official start in Tampa. Tickets will go on sale here on Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. local time.

This year's festival features some of the biggest names in country music. In addition to the headliners, artists that include Lauren Alaina, Brett Young and Russell Dickerson will also perform.

"I look at the artist side of things the same as I look at the fan experience," Wogenstahl said. "The artists need to have a good experience, and for them to have a good experience, they have to have those fans. As long as the people of Cincinnati and the residents and those fans keep on supporting this event, we're going to make sure that we keep on bringing those artists that they want to see."

When is Diplo's performance?

The festival added three-time Grammy winner Diplo to its lineup back in May. The popular DJ released his latest country music venture, an EP titled "Thomas Wesley: The Mixtape," in April, which was on the heels of his recent country albums "Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 – Swamp Savant," released in 2023, and "Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil," released in 2020.

"What I love about country music now is that it's such an expanding genre," Wogenstahl said.

"Diplo is a great DJ and he did some really cool collaborations with Lily Rose whose actually on the lineup this year. So I thought that was cool to be able to tie a really famous EDM DJ into this festival. But also the genre is expanding in other ways too, to where it's very mainstream compared to what it once was maybe 20-30 years ago. ... What we wanted to do is bring a mix of artists that would appeal to everybody."

Diplo will perform a late-night show, as he's slated to go on after Keith Urban at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

How do I show my ticket for Voices of America Country Music Fest?

Festivalgoers who purchased tickets should have received a wristband in the mail. The wristband is the ticket, and fans should wear it for the duration of the event. Per the festival's FAQ page , wristbands are not transferable and cannot be given to someone else if the original person cannot attend.

SAN ANTONIO - Country music fans are in for a treat as Keith Urban, Zach Top, Diamond Rio, and Dwight Yoakam are set to take the stage at next year's San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

Event officials announced on Thursday the first batch of performers for the an Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, which takes place from Feb. 6-23, 2025 at the Frost Bank Center. Tickets are on sale now.

Here’s a look at what each artist brings to the table:

Keith Urban

Renowned for his electrifying performances and dynamic blend of country, rock, and pop, Keith Urban has long been a standout in the country music scene. With numerous chart-topping hits like "Somebody Like You" and "Blue Ain’t Your Color," Urban’s innovative guitar work and charismatic stage presence have earned him a place among country music’s elite. A multiple Grammy Award winner and acclaimed songwriter, Urban’s show is expected to be a highlight of the rodeo’s entertainment lineup.

Urban will perform two shows (Noon & 7:30 p.m.) on Feb. 8.

A rising star in the country music world, Zach Top is making waves with his heartfelt lyrics and distinctive sound. Known for his blend of traditional country and modern influences, Top’s music resonates with fans of all ages. His recent hits have showcased his ability to connect with audiences through both energetic performances and introspective ballads. As a newcomer on the big stage, Zach Top is poised to capture the hearts of rodeo-goers with his fresh take on country music.

Top takes the stage at noon on Feb. 16.

Diamond Rio

With a career spanning over three decades, Diamond Rio has established itself as a cornerstone of the country music genre. The group, known for their harmonious sound and classic hits such as "Meet in the Middle" and "One More Day," continues to delight fans with their timeless melodies and engaging performances. Their participation in the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo promises to deliver a nostalgic experience for long-time fans and an introduction to new listeners.

Diamond Rio is set to perform at 7 p.m. on Feb. 17

Dwight Yoakam

A true pioneer of the neotraditional country sound, Dwight Yoakam has been a defining force in the genre since the 1980s. With a distinctive voice and a penchant for blending honky-tonk roots with modern sensibilities, Yoakam has produced an array of hits including "Guitars, Cadillacs" and "Fast as You." His charismatic stage presence and deep catalog of music make him a must-see act at the rodeo.

Yoakum will perform at 7:30 p.m. for the Rodeo Finals on Feb. 22.

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is six months away, but the organization officially announced a few headline performers when the rodeo returns in 2025.

The rodeo will kick off on Feb. 6, 2025, and wrap up on Feb. 23, 2025, at Frost Bank Center and Freeman Coliseum fairgrounds.

Four performers — country music artists Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakam, Diamond Rio and Zach Top — are all expected to take the rodeo stage next February.

Next year’s rodeo will mark Urban’s third appearance in San Antonio over the last five years. He appeared in afternoon and evening performances at the 2020 and 2023 editions of the rodeo.

In 2025, Urban will also perform after the rodeo performance at noon and at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025.

Top, a 26-year-old artist, performed in San Antonio earlier this year. The Sunnyside, Wash. native performed a set at Sam’s Burger Joint near Pearl on April 18.

Following a bull rider event, the rodeo said Top will take the stage at noon on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025.

Diamond Rio is also expected to return to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo stage. The band performed at the-then SBC Center during the 2003 rodeo, months after band members released their 2002 album titled “Completely.”

The band will perform at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025.

Yoakam, a two-time Grammy Award winner, will be another big name returning to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. He will have the last Saturday night of the rodeo stage all to himself at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22, 2025.

Rodeo officials said tickets are on sale now at sarodeo.com or ticketmaster.com .

Although rodeo competitors aren't usually household names, the famous San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo does rely on some star power to keep folks coming back year after year. The 2025 lineup will bring some major country stars to the Frost Bank Center and Freeman Coliseum, according to the first round of announcements on July 8.

The event spans February 6-23, and the first four performers announced represent four different days of entertainment;

• Saturday, February 8, at noon and 7:30 pm: Keith Urban
• Sunday, February 16, at noon: Zach Top
• Monday, February 17, at 7 pm: Diamond Rio
• Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 pm: Dwight Yoakam

Announcing the lineup in rounds is customary for the rodeo, which in 2024 featured country and rock acts such as Wynonna Judd, Brad Paisley, The Oak Ridge Boys, Cheap Trick, Styx, and Brooks & Dunn. In addition to the bigger names were local stars like Austin's Charley Crockett (born in San Benito and raised in Dallas-Fort Worth). It's almost guaranteed that Midland, from Dripping Springs, will be on the lineup again in 2025, as they have been every year since at least 2020.

Beyond the music, this year's festivities include 22 events and will likely draw more than 1.5 million visitors. That's been bringing in tourist money since 1949, and a portion of funds raised also go back to the community in the form of education, vocational training, and agricultural projects to young people across the state.

"We are immensely thankful to the community, sponsors, partners, and our over 6,000 volunteers for their unwavering support in advancing our mission to educate the youth of Texas," said executive director and CEO Cody Davenport in a press release. "Our longstanding traditions will continue to serve the community, showcasing our world-class rodeo and Agriculture Fair. We eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone in 2025."

San Antonio chef makes national cooking show final with regional dishes

The award-winning Central Texas water park Schlitterbahn New Braunfels just got more cost efficient with a brand-new season pass add-on program. And it won't just provide easier access to the water parks, but all legacy Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks across North America, too.

Schlitterbahn's parent company, Cedar Fair, and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced an $8 billion merger in late 2023 that was finalized on July 1, 2024; Now they're off to the races with an All Park Passport ($75), which can be combined with Schlitterbahn's existing season pass in 2025.

The All Park Passport, used with a Texas2Splash Pass, would enable access to Cedar Fair parks in 2024 and 2025, joined by Six Flags parks in early 2025 (starting January 6). Although Central Texans will really benefit from this deal with proximity to Schlitterbahn, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and Hurricane Harbor Texas, that also includes 42 parks across North America, including some in Canada and Mexico.

Texas parks included in the passport are:

• Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston (Galveston, TX)
• Schlitterbahn New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX)
• Six Flags Fiesta Texas (San Antonio, TX)
• Six Flags Over Texas (Arlington, TX)
• Hurricane Harbor Arlington (Arlington, TX)
• Hurricane Harbor San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)
• Hurricane Harbor Splashtown (Spring, TX)

Having both deals may sound redundant with the pass, since the water park is a legacy park with Cedar Fair, but the passport is technically just an add-on. The Texas2Splash Pass alone includes unlimited visits to Schlitterbahn New Braunfels and Galveston — the "2" referring to both parks.

There are even more deals locally, which a press release says are in celebration of the new pass.

• To visit just Schlitterbahn New Braunfels : Guests who buy the regular, local Season Pass for 2025 on sale for $99 will get to enjoy its perks early, with unlimited visits through the rest of 2024 as well.
• To visit the New Braunfels and Galveston water parks: Texas2Splash Passes are also on sale for 2025, priced at $115.
• To bring a friend : Both passes will include on Bring-A-Friend ticket as long as they're purchased by September 15.

“We are so excited to introduce the All Park Passport add-on to our guests,” said Schlitterbahn vice president and general manager Darren Hill. “We are always seeking ways to provide the greatest value for our passholders, and the benefits of an All Park Passport deliver all of that and more for our fans.”

A daily pass to visit Schlitterbahn New Braunfels starts at $49.99, so guests would only need to visit twice to warrant purchasing the pass. The 70-acre water park has 45 attractions and is known for being family-friendly. Still, there are swim-up bars in each section, so there's something for everyone. Reviewers often mention long lines, and don't forget to factor parking (if the free lot fills up), food, lockers and other incidental costs to your calculations.

Keith Urban to Join “The Voice” as Mega Mentor for Season 25 Before Releasing New Album

The Voice is adding another star to season 25!

On Monday, NBC announced Keith Urban will join the hit reality singing competition series starting April 8 as a mega mentor for the performers who've made it through the battle rounds as they prepare for knockouts.

The Grammy-winning Australian country star, 56, will appear on The Voice alongside its current panel of coaches: Chance the Rapper , Dan + Shay , John Legend and Reba McEntire .

Urban has previously appeared on The Voice as former coach Blake Shelton 's advisor during season 15. He was also a coach on the series' Australian version for seasons 1, 10 and 11.

Aside from his duties on the show, Urban is gearing up to release a new album featuring his recent singles, "Straight Line" and "Messed Up as Me." The forthcoming project will serve as a follow-up to 2020's The Speed of Now Part 1 .

Previous mega mentors on The Voice have included Wynonna Judd , Ed Sheeran , Snoop Dogg , Usher , James Taylor , Taylor Swift and others.

Last year, Urban returned to American Idol as a mentor for the show's season 21 finale after serving as a judge from seasons 12 to 15. At the time, he spoke to PEOPLE about his excitement toward working with the talented contestants.

"To be able to come in as a mentor, and play as well, is incredible," he said. "That was home for me for several seasons, and the mentoring part is probably one of the things I always enjoyed the most, getting to work with the artist one-on-one."

Before season 25 of The Voice officially kicked off in February, Dan + Shay spoke to PEOPLE about the country-heavy lineup of coaches this time around.

“This year it's crazy because we have the queen of country music. I mean  Reba  is on there, and it's a very intimidating thing because she's… Reba,” Shay Mooney, 32, said. “I mean, when you have one name, that's how you know you really made it!"

“[But] we got a double chair,” quipped Dan Smyers, 36. “That's twice as cool as having one chair.”

They spoke further about playfully feuding with McEntire, 68, on the series. “We get heated out there on the floor. We're both country artists. We're competing for the country acts that come through  The Voice,"  said Smyers. "Everybody always wants the country acts. I feel like that's some of the best talent that's out there."

Luckily, they're all friends behind the scenes. “Hanging out with Reba is amazing. She is honestly one of the sweetest people we've ever met in our entire lives. I just can't say enough good things about her. She's always been so kind to us,” added Smyers.

Harris and Walz to kick off Pennsylvania bus tour in Pittsburgh

The day before the opening of the Democratic National Convention, Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will kick off a bus tour of Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh on Sunday, the campaign announced. It will be the pair’s first campaign appearance in western Pennsylvania, after Harris introduced Walz at a rally in Philadelphia on Aug. 6. They’ll be joined by their spouses Doug Emhoff and Gwen Walz.

The campaign said the tour would  focus on “meeting voters where they are” in community settings, with stops to include canvassing kick off events and local retail stops.

Harris officially became the Democrats’ presidential nominee earlier this month by a roll call vote of Democratic National Committee delegates, after President Joe Biden dropped his reelection bid last month and endorsed her.

This will be Harris’ eighth visit to Pennsylvania this year, and her 18th visit since being sworn into office, the campaign said.  She appeared in the commonwealth on July 13 in Philadelphia to court Asian-American voters and has also made stops this cycle in Pittsburgh to tout the administration’s infrastructure investments, in Philadelphia to talk student debt with educators , and in Montgomery County to speak in support of reproductive rights .

The campaign said it now has  36 coordinated offices and nearly 300 staffers on the ground across Pennsylvania, and in the four weeks since Harris announced her candidacy, more than 43,000 people  have signed up to volunteer for the campaign in Pennsylvania.

Although he visited the eastern half of the state several times in 2024, Biden only made one 2024 campaign stop in western Pennsylvania, visiting the United Steelworkers in April ahead of the state’s primary election.

Former President Donald Trump, the 2024 GOP nominee for president, will campaign in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday for a rally at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. The visit will be Trump’s seventh to the Keystone State in 2024, but his first to northeast Pennsylvania this cycle. Trump appeared in Harrisburg for a rally on July 31 , his first visit to Pennsylvania following an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler on July 13.

A Times-Siena poll released Aug. 10 shows Harris leading Trump by four percentage points in the key battleground states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.
