Packs and Snippets

Snippets are collectibles that are part of a Memoir album. Packs are containers, from which the player draws random snipppets. Both snippets and packs come in five different rarities, which is indicated by stars. Snippets can't be won or found individually but only in packs. Repeat snippets turn into Déjà Vus .

Snippets [ ]

Snippets are missing objects of the pictures in the memoir album. Snippets come in the form of different colored cards and have to be placed on the pictures. For placing certain amounts of snippets overall, the player is awarded Island Beautifications that are added to Orchid Island .

• Companion Reminders (rare cards that can retrieve a missing snippet)

There are five different rarities of snippets. One-star (Brown), Two-star (Green), Three-star (Blue) Four-star (Pink), Five-star (Purple).

The following are snippets from the A Day in Manhattan Memoir .

Packs are containers for two to five random snippets.

How to get packs: [ ]

• through events like Detectives Needed , Fairground Fortune (or Sweep the Board )
• Celebrations
• Hidden Object Scenes
• during Flash Bonus in the Help Wanted
• Pack Shop (for diamonds )
• Club Competitions or Detective League
• or for sale in the shop for real currency.

Pack Screen [ ]

The player can open packs from the pack screen, accessible from the Memoir screen by tapping on the pack icon in the bottom right corner.

From the pack screen the player can access three different locations:

On the pack screen the player can open packs and see the Déjà Vu counter at the top of the screen.

In the pack shop the player can buy packs for diamonds .

In the Déjà Vu Token Store the player can exchange Déjà Vus for various prizes.

Pack rarity [ ]

Packs come in five different rarities. The following images are the packs from the A Day in Manhattan Memoir.

Relation of Pack and Snippet rarity [ ]

Rarer Packs contain more snippets and, with higher probability, rarer snippets. The amount of snippets in a pack is indicated by the number of stars: 2 star packs contain two snippets, 3 star packs three snippets and so on. The only exception is the 1 star pack, it always contains two snippets. A pack will always contain at least one snippet of the same rarity or rarer as the pack itself, so a 3 star pack will contain at least 1 three star snippet or rarer.
