The impractical jokers are on tour in 2023. some tickets are very cheap.

“The Impractical Jokers” just celebrated ten years on the air this past June.

Prior to that, “Joker” troupe member Sal quipped “I hadn’t done anything for more than just a few months” when the trio appeared on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”

Now, to keep the momentum going, Sal “Sal” Vulcano, Brian “Q” Quinn and James “Murr” Murray are hitting the road for 35 huge shows on their “Drive Drive Drive Drive Tour” where the fellas will bring their outrageous never-before-seen videos and storytelling stand-up to the stage.

Will they be coming to a city near you?

Well, if you’re in New York or New Jersey, the answer is a resounding yes.

Staten Island’s native sons will drop into Camden, NJ’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Feb. 3, Waterloo, NY’s The Vine at Del Lago Resort and Casino on Feb. 18 (they’ll play two shows in Waterloo that day — at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. ), Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on March 10 and Elmont, NY’s UBS Arena on March 12.

And unlike the Jokers, we’re not pranking you when we tell you that tickets to see the three live are fairly inexpensive .

In fact, we found some seats going for as low as $28 before fees on Vivid Seats at the time of publication.

Not a bad price to catch the guys that brought the world the infamous, unhinged White Castle video that you have to see to believe.

Impractical Jokers 2023 tour schedule

Sal, Murr and Q will turn the engine on their “Drive Drive Drive Drive Tour” at Reading’s Santander Performing Arts Center on Jan. 28 with two shows at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

From there, the fellas will bring their unique brand of fun to huge cities like Boston on Feb. 4 ( 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. shows), Washington, D.C. on Feb. 19, Seattle on April 7, Denver on May 6 and Detroit on June 4.

On July 29, the “Drive Drive Drive Drive Tour” will sputter to a stop at St. Louis’ Stifel Theatre .

How to watch “Impractical Jokers” on TV

Starting Feb. 9, “Impractical Jokers” returns to TV for the show’s tenth season.

All episodes will be simulcast on TruTV and TBS.

Just a few of the guest stars lined up this season include Post Malone, John Mayer, Bret Michaels, Paul Rudd, Kesha and Anthony Davis according to Vital Thrills .

What happened to Joe of “The Impractical Jokers?”

As you may have noticed, there are only three members of the “Impractical Jokers” these days.

That’s because founding “Joker” Joe Gatto left the group in early 2022 for “personal reasons” following his divorce from wife of eight years, Bessy Gatto.

“Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids,” he said in a statement.

Shortly after the two separated, they were seen at an Imagine Dragons concert with their children.

Four guys and a dream to do group comedy on stage is how the

originally began. If you go all the way back to the high school years when Sal Volcano, Brian Q Quinn, James Murr Murray and Joe Gatto hung around together and performed their impromptu comedy acts for willing audiences, you would see that their show has made big leaps but has always kept the laughs. For the first few years they performed as the Tenderloins, but when they were approached to write a cable TV show, they changed the name of the group in the TV script. From the first

show in 1999, to the TV pilots in 2008 and 2009 these guys have been making people laugh for over a decade. Currently, their touring show starts in early December and runs through early February. Most of their shows stick to East Coast venues, but they do book a random show here and there in other parts of the country.

'Impractical Jokers on TV'

are extremely popular. It is due in part to the fact that the TV show of the same name is in its sixth season with a cult following of millions. If you never get a chance to see their live theatrical performance, there are other ways to watch a show. The TV show is entering reruns. Plus it is out on DVD/Blu-ray. The troupe has been known to accept bookings aboard cruise ships for live entertainment If they are not too busy and on their usual tours, and you have the money to book them, you may just get a private show for a special event.

If you really want a good idea of what the live show is like, watch one of Impractical Jokers' TV episodes.'

'How long does the show run, and is there an intermission?'

'It's about an hour and a half to two hours. There is not usually an intermission, but things can change from night to night.'

'What is the storyline for the show?'

'Though each performance is different based on that current showing, there is a basic format which is followed. The cast members are challenged with a number of tasks throughout the show. This might be as part of a team or singly. When a joker or his team does not finish a task successfully, a red thumbs-down is given. After completing a series of these challenges, the joker with the most thumbs-down is required to complete an often embarrassing task in front of the audience and his fellow jokers. The laughs reign supreme.'

Launching February 2023, the much anticipated 16 city tour is produced by Outback Presents and Live Nation. Off the heels of the successful season 9 return of  Impractical Jokers  and its new celebrity format, Q, Murr and Sal are excited to be back on tour for the first time in three years, bringing new jokes and videos to fans across the nation.

 Pre-sale tickets will be available this Wednesday, October 19 using code IJDRIVE, and tickets for all shows will go on sale on Friday, October 21 at 10am local and can be found at  HERE .

The trio behind TruTV’s Impractical Jokers are bringing their long-running comedy prank series on tour in 2023, and it’s anyone’s guess how much hijinks will come with tickets. “The DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE Tour” finds James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Sal Vulcano on their first live outing together in three years as well as their first without founding member Joe Gatto, who announced his departure from the show on New Year’s Eve 2021.

“We are so excited to finally get back on tour next year,” the group shared in a statement. “After the difficult last couple of years, we are looking forward to laughing again with all the Impractical Jokers fans out there and bringing them a personalized and intimate comedic experience like never before.”

What Is Impractical Jokers’ Next Tour?

“The DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE Tour” kicks off in Pittsburgh on February 2nd, 2023 and spends the first month on the East Coast between Camden, New Jersey; Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Washington, D.C. The trio will stop on the Canada side of Niagara Falls on March 9th, then head down to Newark, New Jersey on March 10th and Wallingford, Connecticut on March 11th.

The Impractical Jokers headline Belmont Park, New York’s UBS Arena on March 12th then travel to the Midwest for shows in Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They’ll host in Chicago on March 26th, then open the next month in Seattle on April 7th. The tour concludes in Portland, Oregon on April 8th.

Who Is Opening for Impractical Jokers on Tour?

There are no openers attached to “The DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE Tour,” but the trio did grow more comfortable with celebrity company on their most recent season of Impractical Jokers . Season 9 of the show incorporated stars like David Cross, Method Man, and Eric André into their hidden camera shenanigans. Whether any of their new famous buddies will make a guest appearance is yet to be seen, but we can’t count it out.

6 takeaways from 'Impractical Jokers' in Cincy: Murr's wig, Tortured Jokers Department, more

Everyone's favorite jokesters came to town Friday: the cast of the hit TV series "Impractical Jokers."

Sal Vulcano, James "Murr" Murray and Brian "Q" Quinn took over the ballroom at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, with two consecutive shows part of their Drive Drive Drive Drive Drive Tour .

"Impractical Jokers" is one of my all-time favorite TV shows. My son even has a onesie with their famous line, "Did Santiago send you?" stamped across it front and center. So I drove to the casino to check out their Cincinnati stop. Here are my six takeaways.

The 'Impractical Jokers' Drive Tour feels more intimate

This wasn't my first time seeing the Jokers live. I attended their show in Cleveland in 2018 , during their Santiago Sent Us tour .

Both were fantastic, as the guys do a great job mixing in stand-up and including stories (as well as clips) from their TV series. However, this go-around felt more intimate. They performed at downtown Cleveland's Wolstein Center in 2018, which holds over 13,000 people . Hard Rock Casino's ballroom made it feel like I was at a private showing, rather than sitting up in the rafters.

Sal is the star of the show

OK, so I am not showing favoritism here. I promise. I interviewed Vulcano in September , ahead of his solo stand-up show at Taft Theatre. His kindness during our chat has nothing to do with this next statement: He was the star of Friday's show.

It used to feel like former Joker, Joe Gatto, was the leading man, although he certainly shared the wealth with Vulcano, Quinn and Murray. Someone had to step up following Gatto's departure in late 2021 , though, and Vulcano seems to have taken on that challenge.

He led the conversation most of the way, and even had multiple (almost) solo stand-up sets, one in which someone from the crowd electrocuted him while he discussed what life is like with two Jaden Smith tattoos .

Maybe it's because of his experience touring solo. Or perhaps the act just calls for someone to take the lead. Either way, Murray and Quinn were great, but Vulcano was the leading source of funny.

Yes, they are still great without Joe

Speaking of Gatto, it still feels weird seeing the group without him. He was the heart and soul of the comedy troupe, which formed in 1999 under the name The Tenderloins .

A past video of Gatto was part of a segment during Friday's show, and I heard someone next to me say, "He was the funniest." That could be true. His no regrets attitude led to unforgettable TV moments and bits. But make no mistake about it, Vulcano, Murray and Quinn are still hilarious.

Their decades-long friendship leads to seamless chemistry onstage, and they understand how to push comedic boundaries without crossing a line. Something many comedians struggle doing.

Reminding people why it's called the Drive Tour

In case you aren't a huge "Impractical Jokers" fan, the name of the tour is a reference to a punishment Quinn had to endure in Season Nine. He essentially had to be an Uber Eats driver for the group while being stuck in a car with puppets that sang the same annoying song on repeat ... for hours.

To give us a feel for what the punishment was like, Quinn turned off all the lights and played the song on repeat until the crowd sang along. It felt ironic finding myself in that situation on the same day Taylor Swift's new album came out. Instead of singing her "Fortnight" track, I was bopping my head to some cheesy, kiddy tune.

And for a moment, the Drive Tour became the Tortured Jokers Department.

Murr knows his role as the butt of every joke

I've been in many friend groups in which one person is made fun of more than the others. It's not healthy, but it's often part of the group's ecosystem.

Murray has starred in that role since "Impractical Jokers" first aired in 2011, and it continued Friday night from the jump. He came out in a wig of Quinn's hair, which he wore as a punishment in 2017.

Vulcano and Quinn also made plenty of jokes at Murray's expense and had a whole segment centered around an embarrassing statement he made while on a Zoom call with advertisers. Murray is always a good sport about it, and he seems to understand it's essential to the group's dynamic.

The funniest moment didn't come from the Jokers

Toward the end of the night, Murray told the crowd about his brother-in-law, who is decades younger than him and just a kid. Murray then played a voice message from him, which may have been one of the funniest pieces of content I have ever listened to, especially since it was unintentionally hilarious. It had my wife in tears.

I won't spoil anything for those going to any of the other tour stops, but it was essentially a eulogy only a child could give.

It was a great way to end a show I would easily attend again.
