5 Epic Dream Trips and How to Make Them Happen (Video)

Meena Thiruvengadam is a lifelong traveler and veteran journalist who has visited more than 50 countries across six continents. Her writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal , Departures , TripSavvy , and other publications.

dream trips

There's nothing like waking up at sunrise in a big, comfortable bed with the Taj Mahal outside your window — except maybe basking in a glorious sunset from the pool of your overwater bungalow in Bora Bora.

Some experiences really are dreams come true, and they don't have to feel like a gargantuan chore to plan. The first step is deciding what your idea of a dream trip is. "For some people, the idea of a dream trip is really just a time out," said Stacy Small, the founder and CEO of Elite Travel International, which focuses on crafting luxury travel experiences for executives, entrepreneurs and celebrities. Small says requests for bucket-list type experiences are fewer and farther between than they once were.

While there are still travelers looking to summit Kilimanjaro and go on safaris in East Africa, "the idea of a dream trip is changing," Small said, adding it's "more about getting the family together." Many families are choosing to travel with young children, often turning vacations into educational experiences, she said.

Whether it's a relaxing escape, a family walk through history, an escape into nature or something you seek, we've got an itinerary for you. Here are five dream trips and what you need to know about planning them.

Relax in an overwater bungalow

If your idea of a dream trip is an escape to a quiet corner of paradise, Bora Bora has an overwater bungalow for you.

The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort offers nearly 50 acres of French Polynesian paradise, featuring the largest over water villas and suites in the South Pacific. Expect to spend your days enjoying crystal blue waters, lounging on white sand beaches and taking in view of picturesque Mount Otemanu, with its rich vegetation.

Bungalows range in size from 1,500 to 3,500 square feet, many with pools, whirlpools, and decks for outdoor dining. Each comes with viewing panels to give you a glimpse of the turquoise water below. Prices for overwater bungalows start at $1,900 during high season, $1,500 during low season, or at 85,000 points for rewards redemption. The St. Regis Bora Bora is part of the Marriott International portfolio, so consider a card like the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card from Chase , which currently has a 75,000-point new cardmember bonus offer, to make this dream come true.

When you're ready to leave your bungalow, consider visiting a Tahitian pearl farm or taking an excursion lagoon cruise to see sharks and feed sting rays. Don't try to make this one a last-minute dream trip, though. The St. Regis recommends booking overwater bungalows at least a couple of months ahead.

Experience la dolce vita in Italy

If your idea of a dream trip involves beach time, fresh Italian food, celeb-spotting and maybe a yacht, fly into Naples and head toward Italy's Amalfi Coast .

Exploring this region known for its cliffside towns, epic views, limoncello and fresh seafood. From Sorrento, you can hire a yacht or catch a ferry to Ischia, an island known for its thermal baths and fine wines, or to Capri, known for its colorful lagoons. Sorrento is near both Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii, the ancient city destroyed when Mt. Vesuvius erupted in AD 79, making it easy to delve deep into history when you're ready to take a break from island hopping, sipping limoncello, and sampling gelato.

From Sorrento, you can also rent a car, hire a car and driver, or rent a yacht to explore a half dozen picturesque towns including Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano.

Wake up to the Taj Mahal

If your idea of a dream trip is checking out a wonder of the world, pack your bags and head to northern India. Fly into New Delhi to embark on your journey through India's Golden Triangle.

Hire a car and driver to explore the city's sights, making time to wander around the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, and old Delhi. Pay your respects to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat, and when you're ready, catch an express train to Agra. Express trains will take you from Delhi to Agra in under two hours. When you're ready to explore the Taj Mahal, plan to spend several hours there and hire a guide to help you spot architectural secrets you might otherwise miss.

After two nights in Agra, you'll likely be ready for something new. Head to Jaipur, India's famed pink city to complete your Golden Triangle experience. From October through March, a trip like this would come in around $2,600 total for a party of two, said Ankur Sharma of Meet India Tours.

Fall asleep to the Northern Lights

If you're looking to experience a natural phenomenon on your dream trip, catch a flight to Reykjavik. Iceland is located at 65 degrees North, at the edge of the Arctic Circle, and offers one of your best chances to see the Northern Lights without the extremely cold temperatures you would have to endure in other parts of Scandinavia.

Start your journey toward the Northern Lights with a dip in the Blue Lagoon, a thermal spa complex located not far from Keflavik International Airport, to shake off any jet lag you may have.

If you choose to stay in Reykjavik, several companies offer Northern Lights tours. If you'd prefer to drive, renting a car is also an option — just beware of the Icelandic roads in winter.

Go on safari in South Africa

If your idea of a dream trip is a crossing a safari off your bucket list, head to South Africa. The country is especially good for first safari experiences as it offers so much more than safaris, said Stacy Small, CEO and founder of Elite Travel International. An easy first safari could start with a flight into Johannesburg and then a road trip to Kruger National Park in the eastern part of the country.

South Africa is home not only to Kruger National Park, but also has beaches, mountains and wine country in addition to bustling cities like Cape Town. "There's a lot to do over a two-week trip," Small said.

And Kruger isn't the only option for wildlife seekers. South Africa is home to several private game reserves as well.

15 Fantastic and Easy Day Trips From Moscow

Is the hustle and bustle of Moscow starting to wear you down? No worries. There are multiple great day trips from Moscow that will let you see a different side of Russia that you won’t find in the metropolitan area. Each day trip I’ve listed below can easily be done by train from Moscow, and there are trains every day of the week.

The area surrounding Moscow is rich in cultural attractions and natural beauty. By traveling only a short distance, one feels far away from the crowds, and lines of the sprawling Russian capital. Since Russia is undoubtedly an expansive country it may take from half an hour to two hours to reach some of the landmarks on this list (by train or car) from the Moscow city center.

You can escape to the picturesque Russian countryside, visit war memorials, battlefields, admire onion-domed churches, and get insight into the local way of life. Easy day trips from Moscow include the incomparable white-stone Trinity Cathedral in Sergiyev Posad, the spectacular Cathedral of the Assumption in Dmitrov, and the Russian military aircraft in Monino. For those who love rural tranquility, Suzdal and Vladimir are a must-see. History buffs will appreciate the Patriotic War of 1812 reenactment that took place in Borodino on the first weekend of September.

Without further ado, here are 15 best day trips from Moscow that are well worth your attention.

easy day trips from Moscow

The Best Day Trips from Moscow

There’s a reason Moscow is one of Europe’s most enigmatic destinations. It’s got culture, class, food, history, and more, but even better, is that it is the country’s main transport hub with so many attractions within a day trip from Moscow. While you can definitely spend days or even weeks in Moscow, it can, of course, be done in just one week. What can you do in Moscow in seven days ? Well, you can do a lot if you know how to plan a trip to a place you know so little about.

If you’re ready to get out of the city a bit and soak up the culture, fresh air, and enchanting architecture, I’ve rounded up my favorite day trips outside of Moscow. I often get asked: What are the best cities to visit in Russia? And these are places that I’ve been and loved.

My Favorite Easy Day Trips from Moscow:

Dmitrov Kolomna Zvenigorod Sergiyev Posad Yaroslavl Arkhangelskoye Estate Vladimir Suzdal Korolev Borodino Patriot Park in Kubinka Melikhovo Gorki Leninskie Kaluga Monino

1. Day Trip to Dmitrov from Moscow

Dmitrov may not be as popular as other cities in Russia, but the fact that the city was founded only 7 years earlier than Moscow makes for a great day trip. This small city some 90 kilometers from Moscow is particularly beautiful in the summer. As you walk the streets you can see sparkling fountains, charming centuries-old buildings, yachts and boats transiting through the canal and, of course, the Museum-Reserve Dmitrov Kremlin.

The Kremlin (castle) is the city’s main draw. The 10m high and about 1km long earthen rampart remained behind the wooden wall and gives an idea of how the castle looked like 400 years ago. The oldest surviving building on the Kremlin grounds is the 16th-century Assumption Cathedral with a unique five-tier iconostasis.

places to visit near moscow by train

Not far from the Kremlin there is a compact 15th-century Borisoglebsky convent. Its main building – the 16th-century Cathedral of Sts. Boris and Gleb is open to the visitors only for services of worship. In the 1930s in the convent housed a labor camp, which contained the builders of the Canal named after Moscow.

Getting There: Dmitrov sits an easy hour and sixteen minutes by train from Savyelovskiy Rail Terminal. This cheap day trip from Moscow is a great chance to soak up the historic charm to be found in Moscow Oblast.

2. Day Trip to Kolomna from Moscow

Situated to the south-east of Moscow, Kolomna is a beautiful port city on the Oka River. This is one of the oldest Russian cities in the region. So you can discover the old history in museums and monasteries. Interestingly, the city was a site for important weapon factories under the Soviet Union. Although it was opened up in 1994 Kolomna is not as popular as other day-trip destinations in the region.

Nevertheless, it is a great place to visit with friends and family where you can explore the 15th-century Kremlin made of red brick, try incredibly sweet traditional pastila (marshmallow), and visit some of the cute little churches and 19th-century mansions.

Getting There: Take the express train (commuter line train) from the Kazansky rail terminal to Golutvin station. The trip lasts one hour and forty minutes.

3. Day Trip to Zvenigorod from Moscow

This one is usually a given due to its proximity to and ease of transport from Moscow. It’s one of the easiest day trips from Moscow by train. You can easily hop on the train from the city and land right in the town of Zvenigorod where you can visit the 14th-century Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery and sample the sparkly and refreshing kvass, a Russian specialty beverage that’s enjoyed in the summer months.

Zvenigorod is an adorable little town just under an hour away from the Moscow city and is an amazing place to visit as it will give a relaxing break from the hectic life of Moscow. Check this day trip if you don’t feel like planning.

If you have a sweet tooth, spend some time in the quirky Museum of Russian Desserts, where you can indulge in uniquely delicious treats and explore the intersection of food and culture.

Then you may want to pay the Zvenigorod Museum of History, Architecture, and Art a visit. The museum’s exposition is located on the territory of the Savvino-Storozhevsky monastery, or rather, in the 17th-century Tsaritsyny chambers, built for the wife of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. Stroll through the museum halls to view the permanent exhibitions, which offer insights into various aspects of Russian history. The intricate museum’s building is adorned with a decorative porch, complex patterned elements, and looks very impressive in general.

4. Day Trip to Sergiyev Posad from Moscow

If you’re looking for cheap day trips from Moscow, Sergiyev Posad is a good choice at just a few dollar train ride away. Known as a major center of pilgrimage and home to one of the largest Russian Orthodox Monastery which has been here for hundreds of years, Sergiyev Posad is a fun day trip from Moscow and can be combined with Abramtsevo Museum Estate. As the only town in Moscow Region which is included in the Golden Ring of Russian cities, Sergiyev Posad is an incredible destination for a day trip from Moscow that packs UNESCO-protected Trinity Sergius Lavra, great museums, and gorgeous architecture into one day.

Make sure you see the six-pillared Assumption Cathedral that was commissioned by Ivan the Terrible in mid-16th-century and go inside to marvel at the impressive iconostasis that features Simon Ushakov’s masterpiece, the icon of Last Supper. Enjoy a delicious lamb steak with wheat kasha, Ukha fish soup, or hand-made dumplings as you learn a lot about religious and cultural history.

Getting There: Known for its small-town charm and welcoming feel, you can get to Sergiyev Posad by train, by bus, or by car. Trains depart from Yaroslavsky Rail Terminal every thirty minutes, and the trip lasts about an hour and a half. Alternatively, you can hop on a bus at the ‘VDNKh’ metro station. A bus trip to Sergiyev Posad takes two hours on average but can be reached in 90 minutes depending on traffic. If you go by car expect to spend about an hour and a half attempting to traverse the congested Yaroslavskoye highway.

5. Day Trip to Yaroslavl from Moscow

Going from Moscow to Yaroslavl may seem like a really long day trip, but honestly, if you take the comfortable train, it only takes about four hours to reach the city, so making a Yaroslavl day trip is totally doable. Although I do recommend much more than one day in Yaroslavl, especially if it’s your first time.

Cultural tourists visiting Yaroslavl should start their exploration by strolling the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A spacious 100-hectare area enclosed by Sobinova and Republican streets is home to most popular attractions – the 17th-century Church of Elijah the Prophet that survived almost exactly in its original form, and in contrast to it, the white stone Assumption Cathedral, restored in the 2000s.

golden ring russia

If you walk a bit further passing the Holy Trinity sculpture and city’s foundation stone, you will find yourself at Strelka, a park on the cape, which offers panoramic views of the spot at the confluence of Volga and Kotorosl rivers. On the way back, there is a pleasant walk along the picturesque Volga embankment to the Governor’s Garden with shadowy alleys and an open-air Sculpture museum.

Getting There: Yaroslavl is about 280 km (173 miles) northeast of Moscow, so the best way to get there is to take a morning train from Yaroslavskiy Rail Terminal. A tour is also a great way to see the Yaroslavl without having to worry about driving or searching for trains. You can book a tour here.

6. Day Trip to Arkhangelskoye Estate from Moscow

Situated on the outskirts of Moscow and dates back to the late 18th-century, Arkhangelskoye Estate was the domain of the nobility for over a century until the Russian Revolution swept people who owned the estate out of the country. The estate was turned into a museum, which it remains today.

cities close to moscow worth visiting

The Arkhangelskoye Estate Museum holds the largest rare-book collection. The exhibition also includes old manuscripts, historical documents, photos from the past, a vast collection of sculpture, paintings, engravings, and exceptional examples of decorative art. These art objects once belonged to Prince Nikolai Yusupov, the former owner of the estate.

train trips from moscow

Arkhangelskoye Estate is often referred to as the Russian version of Versailles because of the intricately manicured garden and beautiful 18th-century park. Famous Russian writers and poets such as Pushkin, Herzen, Mayakovsky loved to spend their free time here making long excursions in the surrounding area. Arkhangelskoye is a perfect place to appreciate the terraces decorated by delightful statues, exquisite vases, and busts.

Visitors can take tours, which introduce them to vibrant examples of Russian art and culture.

Getting There: To reach the estate it’s best to take a bus or a privately-owned minibus that departs from Tushinskaya metro station.

7. Day Trip to Vladimir from Moscow

Situated only two hours east of Moscow, Vladimir is absolutely one of the best places to visit near Moscow for a day trip. This splendid city dates back to the 12th century and has a very rich history. If magnificent Orthodox cathedrals and traditional white-stone architecture entice you, then this place is perfect for a day trip with your significant other.

First things first, you need to see the Golden Gate, which indicates the entrance into the old town. This 12th-century medieval masterpiece of military architecture is associated not only with Vladimir but with the Golden Ring tourist route itself. At the top of the gate, where once was the Church of the Deposition of the Robe, there is the Museum of Weapons. Great looking arrowheads and spear points date back to the Grand Principality of Vladimir, while the exhibition in an impressively majestic setting features a number of Batu-Khan related artifacts.

There’s a variety of attractions to put on your must-see list: the Old Believers Trinity Church right behind it, the Cathedral of St Demetrius, and Dormition (Uspensky) Cathedral. If you plan on shopping for souvenirs like birch-bark masterpieces of Kunov’s masters, drawings, carving, embossing, figures of people and animals, stop by the Lacquer Miniature, the Museum of Crystal, and the Gingerbread Museum. Many of the local attractions were added to UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites.

Getting There: The best way to visit this area is to catch an early train from Moscow and book a full-day tour of Vladimir in advance. This one includes the town of Suzdal as well.

8. Day Trip to Suzdal from Moscow

This gem of a little medieval town perched on a hill just a 30-minute ride from Vladimir is one of those places I’ve visited and could move there permanently and be happy! It’s a charming little piece of history that also has a Kremlin and visiting it feels like stepping back in time. if you’re a culture enthusiast you’ll be glad to know there are numerous churches, five monasteries, including Spaso-Yevfimiev Monastery in Suzdal. Check them out if you want to get a real taste of the country!

cheap day trips from moscow

pend some time shopping at the Torgovaya ploshchad (Market Square), where you can buy baskets made of birch bark, ceramic handmade plates, honey or souvenirs and, of course, grab some afternoon tea!

Getting There: Trains leave regularly from Moscow’s Kurskiy Rail Terminal to Vladimir where you can hop on a bus to Suzdal. You can also take a bus from Moscow. In this case, it might take longer and you’ll probably encounter infamous traffic jams. If you go by express train the trip takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. There are slower trains of course, but I’d recommend going with the fast one and save a lot of time!

9. Day Trip to Korolev from Moscow

Located some 30 kilometers northeast of Moscow, Korolev has become arguably the most important space research center with skilled workers from across the Soviet Union who came here to expand the space program.

It became a leading institute dedicated to aerospace research in the country. Today, that tendency can still be clearly seen on the streets and in the buildings. When the Soviet Union collapsed, the city retained its status as the headquarters of Russia’s space surveillance network and now it hosts the Russian Mission Control Center, an analogue of the American Mission Control Center at NASA’s Space Center in Houston.

If you want to learn more about Mission Control Center and the former Russian Mir space station, book a tour with a knowledgeable guide who can clearly tell the history of this place.

If you’re not into space exploration there is also a Memorial Apartment Museum of Marina Tsvetaeva in Bolshevo. With a picturesque park next to the museum, it’s a great place for walking in the fresh air. The highlight of the park is memorial stones with quotes from Tsvetaeva’s poems.

Getting There: I’d recommend going by train. Catch one at Yaroslavskiy Rail Terminal that departs every 30 minutes to reach Bolshevo station.

10. Day Trip to Borodino from Moscow

The historic Battle of Borodino on September 7, 1812, took place just outside the small village of Borodino, about 140 km west of Moscow, and about 15 km from the nearest town of Mozhaysk. Although the French won the Battle of Borodino and went to capture Moscow, it was one of the bloodiest battles of the pre-twentieth-century that is also predetermined Napoleon’s defeat.

While it was a battlefield back then, not much remains today. It’s mostly a green and grassy field now with a few monuments of military honor, architectural objects dated back to 19th and 20th century, and fortification facilities scattered throughout the area. The largest of these is the 27-meter high obelisk located right at the heart of the former battlefield.

Every year the military and patriotic festival and theatrical performance take place in Borodino. Early September is considered to be the best for visiting. But if you just want to feel the spirit of the battle, it’s better to go at any other time of the year.

Getting there: Hop on a train from the Belorussky rail terminal, disembark in Mozhaysk, and then take a bus to the museum. The whole travel time is about 2 hours.

11. Day Trip to Patriot Park in Kubinka from Moscow

Once a Red Army tank training ground, now it’s a military Disneyland with history, structure, guns, and armored vehicles! The tank museum originally housed one of the world’s largest and rarest collections of tanks. In 2016 they combined the training grounds with the newly-created Patriot Park. Since then, some of the notable and rare items have been moved to the Patriot Park site, so you may want to combine both sites into one tour (only about 20 minutes apart).

best places to travel from moscow

The exhibition grounds include some very rare specimens that are must-see for any military enthusiasts out there. The staff is friendly, helpful and kind, while the museum has a small shop. As this site is part of an operating military base, they may ask you to show your passport, or provide them with a photocopy of the front pages. There are vending machines for snacks and drinks, and there are bathroom facilities. There’s plenty to see, so I recommend setting aside an entire day!

Getting there: Situated halfway between Borodino and Moscow, the best way to reach Patriot Park in Kubinka is by car. Alternatively, if you don’t want to rent one, consider car-sharing apps like Gett or UBER. The price of ride-sharing services is cheap enough to make them a viable proposition for choosing them.

12. Day Trip to Melikhovo from Moscow

Located some 80 km from Moscow, Melikhovo is one of the most important museums dedicated to Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. This renowned Russian writer and playwright acquired Melikhovo in 1892. He lived there with his parents and close relatives for 7 years before moving to the Crimea in 1899. Melikhovo is where he wrote his plays “The Man in the Case” and “The Seagull”.

The estate faded into oblivion right after the Revolution but in 1939 Anton Chekhov’s sister Maria and his nephew established a museum based on Chekhov’s place of living. The museum opened its doors to the public in 1941.

Today museum’s exhibition reveals the legacy of a celebrated writer and shows his path not only as a writer but as a doctor and public figure as well. The collection also features some of the best-known paintings by famous artists like Isaac Levitan and Vasily Polenov, who were Chekhov’s friends. When it comes to fun and educational day trips from Moscow, Melikhovo is a nice place for learning more about Chekov’s life and work.

Getting There: You can reach Melikhovo by train from Kurskiy rail Terminal. Disembark in the town of Chekhov and hop on a minibus that will get to the estate. Alternatively, hop on a bus that departs from the Yuzhnaya metro station.

13. Day Trip to Gorki Leninskie from Moscow

Once the realm of Russian nobles, Gorki Leninskie was turned into Lenin’s museum some 25 years after his death. The estate sits some 30-minute bus ride from the Domodedovskaya metro station and houses Soviet-era memorabilia and Lenin’s memorial flat recently transferred from the Kremlin, as well as his vintage Rolls-Royce.

Most people only associate this place with the name of the first communist leader. In fact, the name of the estate was first mentioned in documents dating back to the 16th-century. Throughout its history, the estate was owned by a number of prominent figures. It’s in fact one of the best museums that holds the country’s finest collection 19th-century furnishings and a unique collection of domestic items owned by nobles. Plus, ancient Vyatichi native tribe or East Slavs who inhabited a part of the Oka basin’s burial mounds and a few notable sculptures are hidden behind the avenues of lime trees in the park.

Getting There: You could, of course, hop on a bus from Domodedovskaya metro station. But it would be much easier just to use UBER or Gett. The estate isn’t that far from the Moscow Circle Road but going there by bus may involve some navigating.

14. Day Trip to Kaluga from Moscow

If you’re looking for an educational day trip from Moscow, look no farther than Kaluga! This beautiful city could really entertain you for more than just a day, but to get a taste of science, be sure to visit the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics. Or in other words, the Space Museum.

Visitors to the museum will learn more about the history of space exploration. In fact, this is one of the largest Space Museums in Russia, which opened its doors in Kaluga in 1967. Here you can see a prototype of the iconic MIR space station and a duplicate of the Voskhod rocket. The very same rocket that took the first man to space. There’s also a planetarium, which from the outside resembles a spaceship.

Kaluga is a totally walkable city. Make sure to spend some time strolling Teatralnaya street with the authentic 19th-century pavement that now marks the Kilometer Zero. Then walk across the 18th-century Kamenniy Most (the Stone Bridge) that somewhat resembles a Roman aqueduct. If you’re an architecture buff marvel at the Church of St. Cosmas and Damian.

It is assumed that the church was erected by one of the followers of Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli in 1794. The church resembles the Smolny Convent in St. Petersburg. With five church towers directed upward and six tiers of oblong windows give the exterior a sense of lightness and airiness.

Getting There: Trains from Kiyevsky Rail Terminal to Kaluga leave every 90 minutes. The trip takes about 2 hours and 35 minutes.

15. Day Trip to Monino from Moscow

Are you looking for great family & kid-friendly day trips from Moscow? If so, consider visiting the Central Museum of the Air Forces at Monino. This unique military open-air museum is home to over 180 Russian aircraft and 100 aircraft engines and the perfect place to go when your crowd is looking for a break from hectic city life. Check this tour if you don’t feel like planning.

things to do outside of moscow

This site was formerly an operational airbase from 1932 till 1956 and many of the Russian aviation Design bureaus have made a contribution to the operation and maintenance of the museum. Along with aircraft from the Second World War, there are the TU-95 Bear four-engine turboprop-powered strategic bomber and the TU-144 Charger a Soviet supersonic passenger airliner (which resembled the Concorde). The museum also has exhibits related to military aviation history such as the uniform of captured U2 pilot Gary Powers.

Getting There: This museum is located at Monino Town, about 30 km from Moscow. It is open on all days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except Mondays and Tuesdays. To get there take a train departing from Yaroslavskiy Rail Terminal and disembark at Monino station. Alternatively, hop on a bus from Schelkovskaya or Partizanskaya metro station.

Final Thoughts on the Best Day Trips from Moscow

I hope this post has helped you discover some amazing day trips from Moscow. From imposing cathedrals, mighty fortresses and monasteries, there are a lot of incredible places to visit the Russian capital, and the best part is that getting there is always ways to get around on the cheap.

dream trips

We love hearing from guests about their time in Russia and one comment often hear is how surprised people are by the Russian capital. We can’t say for certain what people expected but we do know that it’s always far removed from what they imagined! It’s been called a modern metropolis, a cosmopolitan city, an historic gem, an architectural treasure and a cultural powerhouse, among other descriptions. Majestic Moscow has always surprised our guests and left them with lasting and fond memories.

Russia’s famous Golden Ring is an archipelago of historic towns surrounding Moscow. Uglich is one of the oldest and was founded under Igor, the last Varangian prince. It once resisted the Mongol invasion and its ancient walls saw the grisly murder of young Dmitri, son of Ivan the Terrible. The impressive Church of St. Dmitri on the Blood, with its classic onion domes and blood red walls, is a fine example of classic Russian architecture. The tour ends with an enchanting choral concert.

This, the oldest city on the Volga River, and now a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts a wealth of ancient orthodox treasures. The impressive Transfiguration of the Savior, adorned with murals depicting St. John’s apocalyptic visions can be seen in the Spassky Monastery. The Church of St. Elijah the Prophet is decorated with an awe-inspiring selection of rich frescoes. For a real taste of pre-revolutionary Russia, visitors are entertained by a costumed reception at the Governor’s House.

Close to the shores of White Lake once were the ‘tsar’s fishing grounds’. It lies in a place so serene that ancient monks chose to build no fewer than three holy sites here, including the Ferapontov Monastery. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, its chapels boast magnificent frescoes by Dionysius, one of Russia’s most renowned icon painters. The Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery was a refuge for many nobles during tumultuous times and later a fortress that successfully repelled invading armies.

The Karelia region is a vast and naturally beautiful wilderness that spreads all the way from St. Petersburg to the Arctic Circle. The glorious island village of Kizhi consists almost entirely of the traditionally styled wooden buildings of ‘Old Russia’. Among them is the famous Transfiguration Church built in 1714. Remarkably, and in testament to the craftsmen of the time, not a single nail was used in its construction! Kizhi is one of the favorite stops on the river cruise to St. Petersburg.

A typical rural hamlet brought to life by warm and welcoming villagers. Volga Dream guests are invited into local homes to enjoy classic Russian fare, tea with jam and ‘pirozhki’ (pies). Enthusiastic hosts share Russian traditions and the appeal of village life while proudly showing off their scrupulously kept homes and kitchen gardens. The tour continues with a brief bus ride to see a unique World War II memorial and then, for a real glimpse of Russian life, a visit to a local primary school.

Nizhny Novgorod

This was once a wealthy city thanks to its proximity to rich eastern trading routes. During the Soviet era, the city was closed to outsiders because of its military importance. It’s also where many political prisoners were sent to live out their days in exile. The 16th-century Kremlin ramparts offer spectacular views and the city is known for its elaborately decorated churches. For Volga Dream cruise guests, the highlight of the day is an evening folk concert performed by local children.

Sailing along the Volga river, the riverbank gradually ceases to be dominated by Orthodox churches. Instead, beautiful mosques appear as the river crosses into Tatarstan where the first stop is scenic Kazan, the region’s capital. Inside the white walls of the citadel, the famous Kul Sharif mosque and the old Cathedral of Peter and Paul stand side-by-side symbolizing the two faiths’ long and peaceful coexistence in the region. A concert of traditional Tatar music ends the Volga Dream tour in Kazan.

Passing the Zhigulevskie Mountains offers wonderful views from the sundeck before touring the city. One of the key attractions is the fascinating Space Museum, which offers a revealing glimpse of how the Soviet Union pursued its ambitious journey to the cosmos. The town is also noted for its beautiful esplanade, perfect for a relaxed stroll beside the Volga river. This in turn leads to the Samara State Art Museum. Founded in 1897, it is home to a collection of more than 16,000 works of art.

This city is best known for its close associations with cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin. The Russian hero who achieved worldwide fame as the first man in space lived and studied here. Saratov used to be home to a large German community, a heritage that can still be seen in the local architecture. The Volga Dream tour visits the Radishchev State Art Museum, the first picture gallery in Russia outside Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Originally called Tsaritsyn, the city was renamed Stalingrad from 1925 to 1961 in honor of the USSR’s leader. During World War II, the city’s residents put up a heroic defense, repelling an advancing Nazi invasion. The battle for Stalingrad has gone down in history as a pivotal moment in the bloody conflict on the eastern front. The most ferocious and deadly fighting took place on Mamayev Hill, where an imposing memorial now stands close to the excellent Battle of Stalingrad Panorama Museum.

Saint Petersburg

If Moscow surprises, then St Petersburg delights. Peter the Great founded the city to showcase Russia’s newfound enlightenment. He wanted to show the modern world a cultured and advanced society. In short, he built the city to impress and in that he succeeded splendidly! The striking buildings were designed by some of the finest architects Europe had to offer and even now, the ‘Venice of the North’ never fails to enchant with its spectacular buildings and impressive canal network. It is a city of true grandeur.

Cocktails with the Captain

Commanding any ship is a complex role that calls for a long list of skills. Captains know their vessels inside out as well as well as the routes they sail and when things don’t go to plan, they have to make instant decisions. Above all though, the most important part of the job, underpinning everything they do, is to keep the ship and everyone aboard safe. The Captain’s cocktail party is a great and a wonderful opportunity for passengers and crew to get acquainted as the gets underway.

Matryoshka doll painting

There is nothing more typically Russian than a Matryoshka. It embodies the fact that there’s always something deeper to be found in every aspect of Russian life. Learning the traditional designs and techniques used to decorate these iconic dolls offers a pleasant diversion and some cathartic creativity!

Superb Service & Dining

Our restaurant serves the highest standard of international cuisine, freshly made by our Cordon Bleu Chef. Choose either a sumptuous buffet or set menu for lunch while dinner is always four or five courses with full service. High praise for the exquisite quality of meals is yet another constantly recurring feature in feedback from our guests.

Meet the Professor

From the Mongol hordes to Soviet times, Russia’s history is, like all of Europe’s, a complex web of political intrigue, war and peace, trade and treaties, as well as heroes and villains. Academics devote whole lifetimes to studying Russia’s long past and one of them presents a series of lectures shedding light on everything from Gorbachev to Chekhov, Khrushchev to Ivan the Terrible and of course, contemporary Russia. Our Professor is on board throughout the river cruise for informal conversation.

Beginner’s Russian

The Russian language can be rather beautiful and poetic and we know that many seasoned travelers enjoy trying their hand at different languages. Our onboard teachers provide an introduction to the riches of Russian, so guests can try out a few useful words and phrases on real Russians during the exciting river tours from Moscow to St. Petersburg or from Moscow to Volgograd!

Russian tea tasting

The drink we tend to associate with Russia is vodka, but tea, in fact, is the much more universal beverage of choice throughout the country. Guests will get acquainted with the Russian tea etiquette, a fundamental component of the country's social culture, and enjoy the traditional tea ceremony while cruising from St. Petersburg to Moscow or taking a Grand Volga river tour.

Russian Dinner & Vodka Tasting

All our dining is international but for Russian Dining night, the Chef includes a selection of traditional Russian dishes: Chicken Kiev, Kulebyaka and no Russian table is complete without Borsch. To add to the ‘Taste of Russia’ optional Russian dress, or at least a touch of Russian style, is provided along with enthusiastic help from our staff!

Russian Cooking Class

A plate of pelmeni might not look like much to the untrained eye, but it forms the heart of Russian cuisine and culture. Basically, it's a type of dumpling: small portions of meat and onion wrapped in a thin sheet of unleavened dough and boiled, a little like ravioli. Guests can join a Russian cooking class onboard the MS Volga Dream to learn how to cook this delicious Russian dish.

Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov Piano Recital

Some of the greatest classical music ever written comes from Russia. It’s hard to imagine a more fitting stage for a virtuoso solo recital by our resident concert pianist than the mighty Volga or a better backdrop than the heart of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov’s own serene homeland.

DreamTrips Travel Club! Could Over 1 Million People Be So Wrong?

Dreamtrips travel club, what is it  .

Whats it The Dreamtrips Travel club? Scam or Travel Investment?

I wrote this Article for Impacta Magazine and felt you too may benefit from this Detailed Review of The DreamTrips Travel Club and the vision and ethos behind it! Sharing is caring and when you enjoy a great service, an awesome meal, that cool gym. OR on the flip side you hate it and swear to never use that product or service. What do you do? You tell a friend, you share right?

Today we are lifting the veil on this so you too can see what the hullabaloo is all about!

One of our new friends asked; what the heck is a Dream Trip and which travel agent is that anyway?

You too may have heard the Hoohah about a  DreamTrips Club right?

There are also quite a few options when it comes to types and variety of travel or vacation clubs, agents and providers. Expedia travel, Travelocity, Google Flights, Solo Travel, Hyatt Club, Marriott Club, Mile High Club, road trip travel, Hilton Club etc. What about DreamTrips travel Club? Have you heard of it?

What is DreamTrips travel Club?

We are sure you have seen the signs somewhere online or on social media! Question in many people’s minds though; Is the DreamTrips Travel Club Worth it for the world traveller ? Whether for pleasure business or annual family holiday? Well….

It’s about time we share our personal research, experiences and why we chose this club over other options. We dive into a detailed, in-depth, users Review of the DreamTrips Club. Be sure we always give a fair balanced view of whatever products we test and use, the good, the bad and downright ugly, you are gonna hear it!

Admittedly, we had never heard of the dreamtrips club, nor given it a thought until we were invited for an event at the Holiday Inn in town by a lady I met at the hair salon. She responded to my statement that:

“Travel is my elixir for stress relief and what I do instead of going to pubs!” ~Julie Syl Kalungi

Travel is my elixir for stress relief #travelclub #dreamtrips Share on X

Anyhow long story short, we went out of sheer curiosity, there were drinks laid out and some juicy treats too and we were going to town anyway! ( Don’t judge lol ) 🙂

I must say we were intrigued coz Paul’s company use the Marriott Vacation Club and they pay a pretty penny for that. Most Vacation Clubs are pretty expensive or so we believed!

So we went with the mind-set that it must cost a fortune. Or its best for corporate execs and companies.  We enjoyed the presentation it was very smartly done. Then, like many, we gave the usual excuse! We would go home and think about it…We started to notice more about this DreamTrips Club all over social media! Funny because we hadn’t noticed it before…Guess its all to do with #lawofattraction,  Search engine re-targeting, or we were more Aware!

We were also very much pleasantly surprised at the cost. I have shoes and hand bags that cost more. Well…

DreamTrips ONE TIME membership fee of $249.98 for Gold OR $399.98 for Platinum.  Which the company gives back all to you in travel pointsu …What! Was this even legal! Was it a Time share? Here was the thing, compared to:

Marriott Club Joining Fee $4,564 , Plus $599 /Month subscription and $1761 / annual maintenance…!

Hilton Club  Initial Fee – over $20k , plus $355/month subscription, &  $1300 /annual maintenance. Plus a plethora of extra fees too many to list!

And more vacation clubs we found with similar fee structures, based on the timeshare model with mob Blackout days!

So DreamTrips Offer of $249.98 Fee with no black out days AND NOT A TIMESHARE. P lus less than $50/month all given back to you dollar for dollar…Well kinda didn’t make business sense, in our minds! We dug a lil deeper!

We noticed a trend tough, there were reviews by/ from People who WEREN’T members of this club and they almost always suggested some other product or travel service !

That got us thinking: what do the product users have to say? So we dug some more.

Suffice to say we found and felt that this club is not only kosher, its what the doctor ordered for us! 🙂

And so to balance the playing field, we are sharing this review from a user’s point of view.

NOTE: Our views are strictly unbiased. We are sharing with you our experiences. The Great, the, Good, and Ugly if any, of DreamTrips Travel club, no hype ! If you are a visual person and time is not on your side, you might like to watch this short 4 min view.

The question we asked ourselves after looking at several posts both for, against and some downright weird. To say we were confused, would be an understatement. Could Over 300,000 People (at the time,) Be So Wrong about this DreamTrips Travel Club?

Forget the images on social media, we felt those could be photo-shopped. ( Again don’t judge. ) See we thought maybe it was all hype. We purposed to find those people enjoying this product and learn about their experiences.

Our research was what lead us to believe that Dreamtrips Club is not only above board, it is something our family and many others could enjoy too !

So we guess you are curious…Yes? Then allow us to share with you what we learnt!

Shall we…

I mean what’s the fuss all about, we can take a  dream-trip  any day, someday…when we save up, maybe in 40 years! Well this club was telling us “ You can do so today !”

Dreamtrips Travel Club – Some facts!

Launched 10 years ago by Mike Azcue & Wayne Nugent , the DreamTrips club is a lifestyle company based in Plano Texas that promotes travel-related products. Members proudly refer to it as an elite travel club for ordinary people. DreamTrips seeks to help more people have more Fun, Freedom and  Fulfillment , by creating unique travel experiences for members to 4 & 5 Star destinations at wholesale rates.

As of very recent they have created a Travel App that’s super useful for the frequent or even Nuevo traveller!

DreamTrips travel is powered by the award winning Rovia search engine which leverages the Rate-shrinker technology to offer members; price guaranteed vacations, unique travel experiences and flights. Their pledge is: If a member finds a similar vacation at a cheaper price you not only get a full 100% refund , you are sent on the trip free ! (We have seen this in action, SEE IMAGEs BELOW.) On the other hand, if your flight price drops before you take off you are refunded the difference, pretty unique guarantee huh!

A Very recent Member’s search for a Hotel in Miami .

DreamTrips_Travel Club_Hotel_Miami_beach_Rate_example

Members rack up travel points similar to Air Miles but way cooler, when they do their normal shopping. In fact they have access to amazing deals via an online shopping mall ! And a private personal concierge…! What did that even mean, like a Hotel welcome party or something…?

We were really warming to this concept by now.

So we looked a little deeper, any recognition in the travel industry ? We found that DreamTrips swept the world travel awards year on year and is a leader in the leisure travel industry. Indeed it’s a Leading Travel Club. A staple in Direct Selling News Top 50 & 100 and is the 6 th fastest growing direct selling company in the world!

NOTE: We were already frequent travellers, we’ve been called ‘Lifestyle Travellers,” so we felt that maybe we could enhance our travel and vacation experiences with this club!

We absolutely love the excitement of planning for a new trip, vacation, flight, destination you name it! We wondered; what more we could get!

So months after the first presentation, we watched a video presentation by one of the leading club members and industry leaders. We were blown away by the value he was getting and the amazing places he and his family had been. This man could pay Retail any day, he could well afford it…Thing is this is the trend. Smart savers and Entrepreneurs don’t pay retail for most things. Neither should you if you are reading this!

Clearly every DreamTrip was designed to show you as much of the local area as possible , in pure luxury or great comfort and to ensure you have the best experience ever. All part of the service!

life has an infinite number of adventures waiting for us #travelquotes #travelinspiration Share on X

Now Paul & I believe that life has an infinite number of adventures waiting for us , while we have breath. But we have a Finite Number of Days on this planet so what do you think we did? We said heck YES, Lets go for it.

At worst, we will travel some more right? See we were now seeing more amazing stories of DreamTrips. People creating memories all over the world as the norm. One of our mentors also once said that:

“A family that travels together stays together” – Ray Higdon

And lots of people taking vacations in double digits before the year was half gone, we wanted some of that too! We are talking luxury travel; personal concierge, 5* hotels/resorts, luxury cruises at a steal, champagne breakfasts, adventure packages, limousine airport transfers…hosted group excursions. Tourism and travel at its best!

So we knew that inspite of the things we had read from people, who hadn’t experienced this lifestyle, we wanted to be part of this community of World travellers. Some could say we got bitten by the bug. But remember we were already bitten way before we heard about the Dreamtrips Travel club and as Michael Palin said:

“Once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected for the rest of my life” – Michael Palin

And here we are, part of this community of really fun loving people…!

So Who is DreamTrips Travel Club for?

The ethos of Dreamtrips is for members to be immersed in the unfamiliar in a pleasurable way , without selling your soul or breaking the bank! New smells, sights, cultures, cuisines, it’s so energizing! You may say it’s a community of people with a cure for the “wanderlust.” ☺

“ A strong desire or urge to wander or travel and explore the world.” Thesaurus

Gimme more of that for:

This travel club simply rewards you for sharing with others who see the same vision as you! And boom Free Travel!

You may ask is there an age limit to membership to this club? Yes, there is. While age is not a limit to traveling the world, after all travel is a gift . Membership is open to 18+ . We have met lots of people in retirement traveling to Asia, Europe, America, Africa etc. for the first time in their lives and going back over and over. ☺

We also know university students living a debt free life because they made a Decision to change!

Lessons We’ve Learnt from DreamTrips Travel Club:

Our biggest lessons from travelling the world and the DreamTrips club are:

We find more pleasure in life’s little things because we travel .  We are more tolerant and open to new things, to welcoming other people of the world into our lives! See there is always more to learn through travel, esp. for the younger ones!

The community of travellers that we’ve met on various family trips have taught us to be more trusting, that all is well. So we enjoy our experiences more and explore the world around us freely. We have learnt to worry less about things, money, etc.

There are lots of people out there so much less favoured. So why moan! When you look at a child in a slum, super excited about a better school made out of bottles…! You marvel at the sheer blessings you got !

DreamTrips Disney Travel #YSBH #DreamTrips

We believe that our journey as Dreamtrips club members is also having a lasting impact on our children . We continue to teach them about compassion and caring for others outside of our comfort zones. They both do a lot of volunteer and service work in our local community and we know that once they are 18 they’ll be able to go on their own adventures too. To interact and volunteer in other communities and cultures different from our own. We have faith that we are expanding their worldview and understanding of the basic similarities between people all over the globe.

To be honest we have also had some not so great experiences along the way. Not directly related to the club, but on Dream Trips…It cant all be Candy and floss right!

  • Things like holiday tummy…We ate some dodgy stuff in a local market, not part of the package!
  • Some people are not always nice or tolerant in some destinations. We put that down to ignorance !
  • Transportation in some destinations is simply not on UK standards! Again this could happen on any trip! Heck we grew up in Africa. Go figure. So…

Who Else is impacted by this Travel Club?

One of the aspects of Dreamtrips Travel Club that attracted us the most was the Volunteer program. DreamTrips members have an opportunity to have a greater connection to care for others less fortunate in major life changing ways. This is social responsibility and we are big on that!

DreamTrips has consistently over the years built a worldwide community. Over 1,000,000 social travellers today , of whom 400k+ members also make a living GIVING via the foundation .  It is 100% funded by members! During our research and since we joined; we’ve found that this foundation among other charities, also funds:

  • The Nancy Lieberman Foundation ,
  • Boys and Girls Club of America,
  • Youth Action International,
  • Hug It Forward Bottle Schools – over 60 built to date. This is also eco-friendly . Cleaning up our environment, And recycling plastic in a unique and friendly way!
  • Delivers schools and clean drinking water to numerous struggling communities in Africa, Asia, South America and Europe. A cause close to our hearts as we already work with water Aid!

This club gives back in numerous ways and its called Voluntours!

The vast majority of people, we meet in our travels are kind, generous and open-hearted. This makes us so much more grateful for the life we lead and the direction and opportunities we are afforded esp. through DreamTrips… This is Love in Action .

Saying yes to the DreamTrips travel club, has afforded our family a whole new life and perspective, a new direction and focus! There is no going back, we are all in!  And we aren’t the only ones:

“I just saw a very simple and fun platform that could help a lot of people to be free. Setting more people free is my mission in life, and I saw this as a perfect fit to achieve that.” – Max Tay, IMD.

We truly agree with Max and in what Abraham Lincoln said;

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” Share on X

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.”

You see, all successful people see their future long before it happens. They take responsibility for their actions & create their own future. We made up our minds long ago to align with people with a similar mindset and love of this awesome planet. So we decided to travel for life , it’s a life mission !

Can we just say that DreamTrips could be for anyone who loves to travel and save or even go free ? But cest-la-vie, it’s not for everyone…Because lots of people think they aren’t worthy of 5* Travel . They think they cannot afford it and yes some definitely can’t!

Others don’t feel safe in a foreign country; things like ninjas geishas, yakuzas and sushi, just not their palate lol! Our advice is; do your due diligence & research like we did or take our word for it! 🙂

If you see the vision grab it, take a dream trip or 10 & see what kind of holiday maker you are! Believe in yourself and do it. You will never be able to imagine the rewards of living this experience.

Important tip : stop looking at google as your source of reliable info or the news, they’re made to terrorize people. A 10+yr old company will surely have some news to be found! Heck even a new-born makes the news. Take a look at the royals or celebrity babies, and depending on who is writing it, it may not be very complimentary!

Why DreamTrips Travel Club?

Well Why Not? To us, this is way bigger than us. It is also so much more than a one-time “give it a try” experience. Making a positive social impact is how we choose to live our life. And fortunately this club and company leadership believes in Social Responsibility in a major way.

Our desire is to touch as many lives as we can by sharing the warmth of a smile, kindness, and love with All we come into contact with and are open! Or through the membership. We count our blessings and share them with others.

And that people should be rewarded for sharing their travel experiences…HOW! We all share our travel experiences good or bad esp. on social media. For most people that’s it, photos & memories! Well DreamTrips rewards members several ways for sharing and promoting the club!  Via Travel Points & Rovia Bucks to pay for their own travels in addition to commissions for those who chose to share!  More travel for us. Thus the saying “ making a Living, Living” – More Fun, Freedom and Fulfillment… You can learn more about the benefits right here !

Any down sides to the DreamTrips Travel Club?

This Travel club is not for you if you hate traveling in general, Air Travel, cruises, you cannot stand being in foreign surrounds. If you hate foreign cuisine, don’t like touring old world stuff…! It’s not for you if you prefer to pay Wholesale for your trips.

Definitely not for you if you prefer Solitude and camping in the wild in your tent or RV, thus accessing 4-5* Hotels and real estate across the globe is not your kind of vacation idea.

If you have no vision for your life and don’t wish to take your children on experiences they will talk about for years to come, then yes this concept may not be for you!

That’s about all we can say, what may stop you from taking chances at more happiness, experiencing more, see more, do more and be more of who you want to be. Life is a Choice; one we make every day we wake up alive. And Yes not everything is for everybody so Yes the DreamTrips club is not for everybody.

We could go on and on about this concept, but then again my nana used to say:

“ To the converted there are no words needed and to the non-believer there can never be enough words! ” – My Grandma ☺

The DreamTrips Travel Club is either for you or its not…either way you are right!

We hope we have sparked your curiosity to learn more about DreamTrips travel Club. You can discover more about it and the opportunity Here .

I did belong to Dream Trips and cancelled my membership. They have significantly lowered the amount of points you can dont towards trips. They have also greatly reduced the dreamtrips you can take in the US. And raised the monthly fee. Even though it appears like your a good deal because all money goes towards points, it’s not because the amount your paying in will not be used since they significantly lowered how many of those points you can use.

This entire article rambled. Make it more concise to improve your brand. It is not unbiased if you are stating facts and data. Was hoping for more truth.

' src=

Sounds so interesting! Can you attach a link to reviews from those who have actually traveled via Dream Trips? Better yet, can you direct me to a a site with comments from those who just returned from travel?

Looking forward to reading all about their experiences!

Hey Yvonne,

Of course I can, but it wouldn’t be our review then would it? If you need more Info let us know and we can point you in the right direction via our Contact page! 🙂

Good day sir/Ma, I am Mr Tare Fiyai, principal consultant Vasteras Travels Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I just stumbled upon your company and the services you render online. I will like to know if your company can render visa support services to Nigerian passport holders interested in travelling to the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, The European Schengen area, Canada, Ireland, The UK, Norway, Slovenia, Poland, Finland, and other countries in The European Schengen area, South Korea, Japan, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Kazakhstan. I have a steady flow of applicants interested in the above -listed countries and can assure you of a rewarding and mutually beneficial business relationship between us. I can consider a quick trip to South Africa in early January 2018 by God’s grace to sign all necessary agreements. Kindly get back to me with specifics of the destinations(countries) you can conviniently handle. Thanks and regards. Yours sincerely Mr Tare Fiyai Vasteras Travels.

Thanks for reaching out. While we are all about things travel, We are definitely not a Travel visa service. We wish you every success in your search for a worthy partner on that front!

The one thing I don’t see in this article is the cost you had to pay for the trip when you took it and the cost of airfare. To simplify buying into this membership is the trips free since your paying a monthly cost or do you still have to pay for the trip and if you do have to pay for the trip what is the average cost in the US, Carribean, Europe??

Hey Hamilton, thanks for stopping by! We shared our thoughts, research and experiences without sugar coating it.

To answer your questions: 1. We haven’t paid for the membership since I cant even remember. Simply because we share with friends, colleagues and travel partners and with 4+ that fee goes away. We have over 350 amazing travel buddies and partners and counting! 2. Each trip is a unique experience including activities, transfers (for some), meals and even exclusive travel insurance (T & Cs apply) and as members we get to reduce the cost of any trip significantly. And by the way this is NOT Cheap Travel, Its An enhanced Lifestyle choice! 3. Every Trip has its own different character Hamilton. Simply because each city has its own style and cost of living. Plus each Hotel, resort and accommodation has different offers. All we have experienced is 4-7 stars and that’s what we share here on this blog. Our experiences! 4. Since we have taken various trips to various destinations, its kinda defeatist to start listing what we paid or didn’t pay. We state clearly that Airfare isn’t included. For the simple reason that this is a global club so different customers travel form different destinations with different airlines! These trips are NOT package holidays! They are Travel experiences.

It really is a lifestyle choice and is not for everyone. If you would like to have a chat about the travel club Hamilton, simply connect with us via our Facebook page! Or our contact page and we can both see if its a good fit for you and If you are good Fit for our team! 🙂

great review Julie. I have to tell you that I am a part of this club and its absolutely brill. Prior to hearing about it I never use to travel at all but looking back now I wonder why i never did. I feel sorry for my previous self for not travelling that much but now i do it in style without breaking the bank. its awesome to be a part of something special

Aaaahhhh our sentiments exactly and it simply beggars belief that so many people prefer to pay retail and go on just one vacaton a year or in 2-3 years. When thye could enjoy 3-4 more vacations for the same amout they pay for the 1 vacation! So glad we found DreamTrips and It is about to explode across the globe…Net hello! 🙂

' src=

Hi Julie, Did you know my husband works for a travel company? We are actually going on a month-long vacation this week. I am going to still try to do Pit Stop from the cruise ship. Thanks for bringing your post to the Blogger’s Pit Stop. Janice, Pit Stop Crew

That I didnt know. What an amazing thing to do, A whole month long vacay? We love doing those in December 6 weeks of pure being spoilt! Away from the UK Winter chill! So You get awesome Perks? We have quite a few Travel agents as club members and all said the same thing. They never ever got the benefits as travel agents that they get as Club members. You are most welcome gal, love the Pit Stop! Have an absolute blast! 🙂

I’ve never heard of this travel club before you review. Seems like a great option for those who travel a lot and I love that young people can also afford it! Great deal! Amazing quote by Marcel Proust “the real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” So true!

Hi Eugenia,

DreamTrips has helped thousands of University students not only enjoy their youth, but also pay off Uni debts and walk out to the wide world debt free. We love it for that too! Love Proust too 🙂

Thanks for your time ~PKJW

I have never heard of Dreamtrips Travel Club either, but do agree that getting away from it all relieves stress. My problem is that the cost always caused more stress than it relieved. This sounds like it would be a great help with that. It’s nice when something is truly beneficial and not just too good to be true.

Indeed the benefits can benefit the stresses if life. Depends on who is looking at them and form which angle. Like we said Whether one likes it or doesnt both are correct in their minds 🙂 ~PKJW
