Anyone lucky enough to be going to Honolulu doesn't have to give a reason for going. They can just say, "We're going to Honolulu," and imagination will take care of the rest. Moreover, Honolulu can probably live up to and even surpass whatever we imagine. World-famous beaches and tropical weather set the scene for an amazing mix of Pacific cultures in this Hawaiian capital. There is a reason why Hawaii is consistently rated as one of the nation's top travel destinations; in fact, there are several of them. Waikiki Beach is the center of activity for Hawaii's biggest industry: tourism. This is one of the world's greatest resort playgrounds, featuring some of the most beautiful beaches and hotels in the world. Visitors from all over the world flock here to enjoy the sun, the sand and the incredible nightlife. Besides the beaches, visitors to Honolulu can take tours of the countryside surrounding the downtown area. These tours are amazing, bringing visitors to some of the most beautiful rainforests and volcanoes in the world. Animal and plant life are abundant, and the scenery is unsurpassed. A five-minute car ride from Honolulu brings visitors into some of Nature's most beautiful and awe-inspiring sights. Several museums, including the Bishop Museum, combine exhibits on Hawaiian natural history with lessons about history and culture of its many diverse peoples. The Waikiki Aquarium is the third oldest public aquarium in the United States, and it features many of Hawaii's most interesting sea animals. The Honolulu Zoo also features some of the unique mammals, birds, and reptiles that inhabit the forests just outside of the city. The history of Hawaii is very rich, as the islands have always attracted many different people. Visitors can tour the Iolani Palace, the residence of the last of the Hawaiian monarchs. They can also visit Honolulu's Chinatown, which is more authentic than many of its mainland counterparts. They can also visit the Arizona Memorial, commemorating the destruction of the battleship Arizona during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor that brought America into World War II. Honolulu exhibits the best of Hawaii in every way. From its famous beaches to its incredible natural preserves, this town has attracted millions of people from around the world. Many of those visitors stayed, helping to make Hawaii one of the most cosmopolitan and diverse places to visit in the United States. Anyone lucky enough to be going to Hawaii knows that he won't be disappointed.

Kahului is located in Maui County on the west side of the island of Maui between Wailuku and Lower Paia along Highway 32 near the West Maui Forest Reserve and the Pacific Ocean.Kahului is heart of Maui, and the only deep water port for the island. This is where the major cruise and container ships come in, the main airport, Kahului Airport is located here also. Kahului has great variety in shopping and services, but lacks the variety of fine restaurants that Lahaina has, although some of the local dining favorites reside here. There are few hotels and resorts in Kahului, there is however, a new golf course. There are four major shopping malls with the largest being the Kaahumanu Mall.Most of 'industrial' Maui is located in Kahului. It is here where one of the main power plants is located, most of Maui's service oriented businesses, and the greatest variety in shopping. Everything from small local stores, catering to residents, to large discount stores such as K-Mart and Costco. Kahului has grown a lot in the past few years, unfortunately the infrastructure has not. As a result traffic is congested most of the working day. The traffic can be especially heavy while exiting the Kahului Airport area. Rush hour traffic is especially bad, both in the afternoons and evenings, traffic from Paia and Upcountry bottleneck at the intersection of Dairy Road and Hana Highway. Allow a little extra time for travelling through this area of Maui.

The Polynesians arrived in the Hilo area about 1100 A.C. They eventually inhabited the shores of Hilo Bay, farmed their crops, fished and traded their goods along the Wailuku River.  In the late 1700’s, the days of King Kamehameha’s rule, Hilo was the center of political activity and social growth. It was the prime place for the King to build his army of ships designed for conquering the Hawaiian Islands. By 1791 native Hawaiians had traveled as far as the United States and China. The King befriended many of the foreigners who traveled to the islands. With such considerable traveling, the Hawaiian way of life soon became influenced by products ranging from iron to livestock to non-native seeds.    Hilo became a stopping place for explorers, whaling ships, traders and those curious about active volcanoes. By the 1900’s, Hilo had grown into a commercial center. The sugar industry was booming, a number of wharves had been constructed, the breakwater was begun and a new railroad connected Hilo with other parts of the island. Then in 1946 – and again in 1960 – two destructive tsunamis swept Hilo’s Bayfront causing the relocation of Hilo’s government and commercial life. When the town was rebuilt, a large park and roadway were situated between the buildings and the shoreline to absorb future tidal waves.   Besides being a rare surviving example of an Hawaiian plantation town, cultural diversity is one of Hilo’s special charms. The local term, “mixed plate”, describes well the impact made by Polynesians, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Koreans, other Pacific Islanders and Europeans on Hilo’s mixed-race culture of today. All these ethnic groups blend in the faces of the people who give Hilo its charm. Its diverse shopping opportunities, its small scale and its friendliness makes Hilo the perfect town in which to linger just a little longer.

Kailua/Hawaii

Historians and researchers believe that it is possible that Kailua was home to Hawaiian families at least 1,500 years ago. The earliest settlers are thought to have lived fished and played on the slopes surrounding Kawainui Marsh. A Bishop Museum report on archaeological excavations of the marshland concludes that when the marsh slopes were first occupied about 500 A.D., agriculture was not possible. The report said that early Hawaiian occupants of Kailua apparently lived beside a lagoon or bay open to the sea hundreds of yards shoreside of today's shoreline. In the 16th century, Kailua attracted the ali'i giving birth to many rich Hawaiian legends, some of which may be found in written and oral reminiscences in Hawaii State Libraries. Many legends were born here including the menehune who were known for working at night in Kaiwainui Marsh and mo'o who took the shape of a large lizard that attracted fish. Kailua was densely populated before the arrival of Captain Cook and was the ancient capital of O'ahu's kings. The biggest event in Kailua and the entire Windward side was in 1795 when King Kamehameha I conquered O'ahu in his quest to unite the Hawaiian Islands. The King granted Kaiwainui Marsh and old Kailua, which included large freshwater fish ponds and saltwater ponds at Mokapu, to the warriors and chiefs that had helped him. The land was used in various forms for agriculture from sugarcane to rice to taro and eventually was used primarily for cattle raising. Kailua was a sleepy town of barely 3,000 in the 1940s. However, the events of World War II changed the appearance of Kailua. Kaneohe Ranch sold portions of land to the government for expansion of the Navy base and the Army's Fort Hase. Finally in 1942, Kaneohe Ranch closed down its cattle raising operations entirely, freeing thousands of acres for post-war development. Harold K.L. Castle, owner of Kaneohe Ranch, donated the land for many churches, schools, and for a new hospital. A new four-lane highway, tunneling through the Ko'olau Mountains, was completed in the late 1950s. In 1946, a small Liberty House (now Macy's) shop opened with three employees and upgraded to a full-line department store in 1953 with nearly 50 employees. The first bowling alley, a branch office of the telephone company, and the very first supermarket in Hawaii opened in Kailua in 1947. By the end of the 1950s, Hawaii had become a state and Kailua became the official postal designation. Castle Hospital opened in 1963. By 1960 the population was up to 24,400. The town has grown more than 100 percent since 1960 when its population was 24,402. It has a compact, easy-to-shop business district surrounded by mostly single-family homes. By 1992 50,000 residents encompassed a central urban core with surrounding residential areas.

Nawiliwili is located on the southeastern coast of the island of Kauai between Lihue and Nawiliwili Bay along Highway 51 near Ninini Point and the Huleia Stream.Kaua'i is divided into five major districts, or moku 'aina. Nawiliwili Bay is located in the moku 'aina of Puna on the southeastern coast. One meaning of puna is spring, and Puna has an abundance of springs and streams caused by its location on the windward side of the island. Around 1000 A.D., settlers from the Marquesas arrived, led by Punanuikaia'aina. He succeeded in creating a chiefdom independent of Kona in Puna.

CUISINE POI, PORK AND POKE

Poke bowls are a great way to enjoy Hawaii's renowned ahi tuna. Ahi tuna has become famous all over America, most commonly seared and added to Asian-style salads. There are several varieties of poke, with modern versions substituting avocado and spicy mayo for classic accompaniments like seaweed and rice.

POLYNESIAN PORK

Is there any meal more Polynesian than a whole, roasted pig? Vegetarians have plenty of choices in Hawaii, but this isn't one of them. After cooking for hours over an open flame, this tender meat is plucked off the bone and plated, or sandwiched in a Hawaiian roll.

POI, THE TASTY PASTE

Taro root is a common food in the Asia-Pacific region, but usually not in the US – outside of Hawaii, at least. The purple paste known as poi is a puree of this much-loved root vegetable, and it pairs well with other Hawaiian staples, such as the aforementioned Kalua pork (dip it!) and fresh fish.

What is the best time of year to take a cruise to Hawaii?

The best time of year to visit Hawaii is from March to September, when you can expect warm temperatures and less rain. Hawaii is, however, a year-round destination, with great snorkeling, hiking, and beach life at any time of year.

How long does a typical cruise last?

Our Hawaiian cruises last from nine to 13 nights, sailing between Vancouver and Honolulu. You could also choose a transpacific cruise, starting or ending in Honolulu. These longer voyages range from 16 to 19 nights.

What are the main ports of call?

The main ports of call in Hawaii are Honolulu, from where our cruises start or finish, and Hilo and Kona, both on the Big Island. On some itineraries, you’ll also enjoy scenic cruising along the Napali Coast on Kauai, a sacred landscape of emerald cliffs, pristine beaches, and jagged mountain ridges. Some cruises also visit Astoria in Oregon before the Pacific crossing to Hawaii.

What should I pack?

Hawaii is a tropical destination with year-round warm weather and high humidity. Pack for beach days, and if you’re an active kind of traveler, hikes and adventures. Swimwear, sunblock, coverups, beach shoes, a sun hat, and proper footwear for hiking should all be on your list.

Throughout the ship, casual resort wear, sundresses, shorts, polos, or button-downs are appropriate, paired with sandals, low heels, and loafers. In main and specialty dining, we ask guests to refrain from wearing swimsuits, see-through coverups or robes, bare feet, tank tops, T-shirts, and baseball caps.

Smart Casual attire is required for entry to main dining, specialty dining, and the Celebrity Theatre. Smart Casual means you look comfortable yet tasteful in a dress, skirt, long pants, or jeans with a stylish top or button-down. Shorts and flip-flops are not considered Smart Casual.

Each itinerary features one to two more “formal” nights that we call Evening Chic. Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jeans, an elegant dress top, or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos.

The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and attending the theatre.

Can I fly to Hawaii and then cruise the islands?

Our cruises to Hawaii operate one-way either to or from Honolulu and Vancouver (or Sydney, Australia in terms of transpacific voyages). So yes, if you pick a Honolulu to Vancouver departure, you can easily fly to Hawaii and spend a few days exploring before embarking on your Celebrity ship.

Do I need a passport?

For Hawaii cruises that either begin or end in Vancouver, Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry proof of citizenship and identity. A valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens.

If you have chosen to visit Hawaii as part of a transpacific cruise, you’ll also need a passport.

Non-U.S. citizens also require a passport for entry into both the U.S. and Canada (and the countries visited on our transpacific cruises). It is your responsibility to check your government’s website for the latest information about entry and visa requirements.

What kind of activities and excursions are available?

Hawaii offers a wonderful range of activities and experiences. From Kona, join a snorkel or submarine tour to admire the spectacular underwater world. Meet local producers and try island-made coffee and chocolate, or explore the lush interior of the Big Island in a 4x4, stopping to cool off under tumbling waterfalls.

Historic Hilo is also famous as the gateway to magnificent falls and verdant rainforest. Admire the dramatic lava landscapes of the Volcanoes National Park shaped by the still-active Kilauea and Mauna Loa volcanoes. In Honolulu, make time to visit Pearl Harbor, or stroll along the iconic Waikiki Beach.

You can spend two months exploring Japan, more for $8K on this cruise

If Japan is on your travel bucket list, why not take the scenic route?

Holland America Line’s new Majestic Japan cruise will take guests there and back over nearly two months in 2024. During the 53-day cruise, one of the cruise line’s Legendary Voyages , passengers will also visit Alaska and Hawaii and Canada, and feature multiple overnight stays.

“This cruise allows us to offer Japan ‘from your doorstep’ with no more than a domestic air flight to Seattle,” Paul Grigsby, the line’s Vice President of Deployment & Itinerary Planning, said in a statement.

Here’s what travelers can expect.

When is Holland America Line’s Majestic Japan cruise?

The Majestic Japan cruise will sail round-trip from Seattle on Sept. 1, 2024, on the line’s 1,964-passenger Westerdam ship.

Where will the cruise sail?

The cruise will make its first stop in Vancouver. Passengers can then take in views of glaciers in Alaska’s Inside Passage and Stephens Passage, before visiting ports including Juneau and Sitka.

“Because we can linger on our way, we have chosen to visit some of the best ports in Alaska, including Kodiak and Dutch Harbor, before landing at Kushiro, Hokkaido as (the) first port of call in Japan,” Grigsby said. Other ports include Yokohama and Kobe, where the ship will stay overnight, Kochi and Hiroshima.

Guests can visit sites like the Hiroshima Peace Memorial , and Grigsby said travelers may also see leaves turning in the high country around Mount Tateyama.

The rest of the itinerary will include stops in Kanazawa and Nagasaki, views of Iwo Jima, an overnight stay in Honolulu and more.

How much does the cruise cost?

The sailing currently starts at $8,084 per person based on double occupancy, according to Holland America’s website .

The fares include the majority of food on board, drinks like regular coffee and tea and more.

DEFENSE HEALTH AGENCY

Spectrum Healthcare Resources Inc., St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract (HT001524C0001) with a value of $373,027,112. The A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center requires the services of ambulatory care centers (formerly family health centers) in the western and southern areas of the National Capital Region. Services include primary care and medical specialty care for TRICARE beneficiaries, including active duty service members and their dependents, or military retirees and their dependents. The ambulatory care centers will remain at their current locations in Fairfax, Virginia; and Dumfries, Virginia, to meet the 30-minute drive time for primary care eligible beneficiaries. This is a 12-month base contract with four 12-month option periods, with an Aug. 31, 2029, performance completion date. The base year will be funded with operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $60,666,063. The Defense Health Agency, Enterprise Medical Services Contracting Division, San Antonio, Texas, is the contracting activity.

Phoenix Air Group Inc., Cartersville, Georgia, is awarded a $165,732,375 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. This contract procures flight minutes using 10 contractor-owned, contractor-operated aircraft for electronic warfare (EW) simultaneous presentations consisting of six for the East Coast and four for the West Coast to simulate a wide variety of airborne threats to train, test and evaluate shipboard and aircraft squadron weapon systems operators and aircrew on fleet air defense and counter potential enemy EW and electronic attack operations. Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by August 2025. Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems, Colorado Springs, Colorado, is awarded a $26,143,463 firm-fixed-price contract for Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) software sustainment support. This contract provides for the programmatic, technical, and logistics support to provide for the engineering and implementation of solutions for the sustainment of the TBMCS. Work will be performed at Colorado Springs, with an expected completion date of June 30, 2029. The maximum dollar value, including the base period and four option years, is $26,143,463. Fiscal 2024 operations and maintenance (Marine Corps) funds in the amount of $4,999,140 are being obligated at time of award, and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Textron Systems Corp., Hunt Valley, Maryland, is awarded a $20,779,333 firm-fixed-price order (N0001924F0023) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001921G0008). This order procures unmanned aircraft systems intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance services, in support of the Department of Defense, other government agencies, and domestic and overseas contingency operations for the Navy. Work will be performed in Hunt Valley, Maryland (20%); and various locations outside the continental U.S. (80%), and is expected to be completed in February 2028. Fiscal 2024 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $20,779,333 will be obligated at the time of award, $20,779,333 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Rockwell Collins Simulation and Solutions, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was awarded a $14,697,546 firm-fixed-price modification (P00023) to a previously awarded contract (N6134021C0017). This modification adds scope to produce and deliver four Special Programs Advanced Readiness Trainer Afloat/Ashore (SPARTA) devices as well as computer hardware and software updates to maintenance devices for the Virtual Reality Concurrency Gap effort including associated technical data, computer software, and computer software documentation in support of the trainer architecture modernization efforts for the E-2D Hawkeye Integrated Training System. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia (80%); and Orlando, Florida (10%), and is expected to be completed in December 2026. Simmonds Precision Products Inc., Vergennes, Vermont, is awarded a $14,642,715 firm-fixed-price contract for the production and delivery of 217 Midwing Avionics Obsolescence Vibration Structural Life and Engine Diagnostics (VSLED) weapons replaceable assemblies to replace the unsupportable 901-305-900-103 VSLED in support V-22, MV-22 and CV-22 aircraft retrofit efforts for the Marine Corp and Air Force. Work will be performed Vergennes, Vermont, and is expected to be completed in September 2027. Fiscal 2023 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $11,591,940; and fiscal 2022 procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $3,032,775 will be obligated at the time of award, $3,023,775 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Alutiiq Solutions LLC, Anchorage, Alaska, is awarded a firm-fixed-price contract with a maximum potential value of $14,267,232. This contract provides the I Expeditionary Operations Training Group (I EOTG) with training in select special skills, and both conducts and evaluates collective training in order to prepare the I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs), Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Forces (SPMAGTFs), combat advisors, and other designated deploying forces to support geographic combatant commands. Due to personnel shortages, I EOTG currently utilizes contractor personnel to provide the specialized training need to deploying forces such as Maritime Raid Force training, sniper training, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) training in order to prepare the I MEF MEUs, SPMAGTFs, combat advisors, and other designated deploying forces to support geographic combatant commands. Work will be performed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, with an expected completion date of Jan. 31, 2030. This contract includes four one-year option periods which, if exercised, could bring the cumulative value of this contract to $12,890,274. Fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance, Marine Corps funds in the amount of 2,436,260 are being obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One company was solicited for this sole-source requirement pursuant to the authority set forth in 10 U.S. Code 3204 (a)(1), with one offer received. Peraton Technology Services Inc., Chantilly, Virginia, is awarded a $12,995,298 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification (P00007) to order N0001924F0007 against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001921G0010). This modification adds contract line items to provide the continued development, delivery and installation of the Theater Mission Planning Center subsystems which includes requirements analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, test, performance and performance analysis support in support of the governments of Japan and Australia. Work will be performed in Santa Clara, California (50.40%); Reston, Virginia (18.80%); Honolulu, Hawaii (11.80%); various locations within the continental U.S. (19%); and is expected to be completed in June 2027. General Dynamics Mission Systems, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is awarded a $9,154,134 cost-plus-incentive-fee and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification (P00010) to exercise options under previously awarded contract N0003022C1005 for fiscal 2022-2025 U.S. Trident II (D-5) SSBN Fire Control System (FCS) and SSGN Attack Weapon Control System (AWCS) support. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (98%); and Rhode Island (2%). Work is expected to be completed April 30, 2025. Saab Inc., Syracuse, New York, is awarded an $8,929,300 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price and cost only delivery order under the previously awarded basic ordering agreement N00024-21-G-5507 for multi-mode radar spares. Work will be performed in Gothenburg, Sweden (66%); and Syracuse, New York (34%), and is expected to be completed by June 2026. Fiscal 2022 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $3,806,538 (43%); fiscal 2023 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $3,058,729 (34%); fiscal 2019 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $1,467,500 (16%); and fiscal 2018 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $596,533 (7%) will be obligated at time of award, of which $5,274,038 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic ordering agreement was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1) (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency). Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Space Systems Division, Redondo Beach, California, has been awarded a $93,832,830 contract modification (P00089) to previously awarded contract FA8810-18-C-0006 for Next Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared Polar Space Vehicles 1 and 2. Work will be performed at Redondo Beach, California. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2024. Total cumulative face value of the contract is $2,262,128,864. Fiscal 2024 research and development funds in the amount of $93,832,830 are being obligated at the time of award. Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., San Diego, California, has been awarded a $79,275,834 add work modification (P00004) to previously awarded contract FA8650-23-C-9313 for Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet. This contract seeks to establish the ability to communicate with military platforms via multiple commercial space internet constellations in various orbital regimes using common user terminal and hardware elements. This additional work modification seeks to expand the number and types of satellite constellations with which the terminals can communicate and will include waveforms capable of communication through military as well as commercial satellites. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $169,455,627. Work will be performed at San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed Feb. 25, 2027. Fiscal 2024 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $15,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The Boeing Co., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been awarded a $70,617,859 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Air Launched Cruise Missile engineering services. The contract provides for recurring and nonrecurring system engineering and logistics analysis services in support of the Air Launched Cruise Missile. The recurring logistics and engineering support activities include, but are not limited to, configuration and data management, laboratory support, design tools support, supportability analyses, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages impact analyses, technical surveillance, technical inquiries, flight test support (two missions a year with three flights in each mission, equaling six flight tests a year). The non-recurring engineering support activities include, but are not limited to engineering, program support, engineering data support, service-related deficiencies, technical surveillance support, engineering change proposals, system software maintenance, field support, feasibility studies, and emergency engineering tasks. This requirement includes support of the legacy strategic cruise missile integration with the B-52, carriage equipment and peculiar support equipment. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, California, was awarded a not-to-exceed $48,538,640 undefinitized contract action for Belgium Sustainment Contractor Logistics Support in support of MQ-9B SkyGuardian aircraft. This contract provides logistics support activities including depot repair, engineering services, field team support, and software maintenance services for the Belgian Air Force MQ-9B. Work will be performed at Poway, California, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2025. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Belgium. Amentum Services Inc., Chantilly, Virginia, has been awarded a $42,761,560 contract modification (P00007) to previously awarded contract FA2860-23-F-0060 for executive airlift aircraft maintenance and back shop support services. The contract modification is for the exercise of Option Period One from July 1, 2024, through June 20, 2025. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $78,549,490. Work will be performed at Joint Base Andrews-Naval Air Facility Washington. The work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2028. Raytheon Missiles and Defense, Tucson, Arizona, has been awarded a $20,379,092 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification (P00024) to the previously awarded Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile-Southern Cross Integrated Flight Research Experiment task order (FA8656-22-F-A071). This task order modification provides for the procurement of additional hardware to buy down specific risks and ensure successful performance of the contract objectives. Spire Global Subsidiary Inc., Vienna, Virginia, has been awarded a $14,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for phased array research. This contract will develop and deploy a multi-satellite, multi-phenomenology, intelligence/surveillance/reconnaissance space mission that leverages high-technical readiness level satellite systems and radio frequency collection payloads paired with a commercial off the shelf multi-spectral imaging system to deliver the Department of Defense a signal geolocation data product with coherent imagery for enhanced situational awareness. Work will be performed at Albuquerque New Mexico; Bolder, Colorado; and Vienna, Virginia. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 28, 2028. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, California, has been awarded a $9,374,250 contract modification (P00022) to previously awarded contract FA8650-22-C-2200 for additional within scope work for additional research on the XQ-67 aircraft. HCS Group PC,* Montgomery, Alabama (W91278-24-D-0013); LH&J/Arcadis JV LLP,* Metairie, Louisiana (W91278-24-D-0014); Sherlock, Smith & Adams Inc.,* Montgomery, Alabama (W91278-24-D-0015); and Baskerville Donovan Inc.,* Mobile, Alabama (W91278-24-D-0012), will compete for each order of the $30,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for architect and engineering services. Bids were solicited via the internet with six received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2029. CORRECTION: The $40,707,157 contract (W56HZV-24-D-0041) announced on June 28, 2024, for Carapace Armor Technology LLC, Aberdeen, North Carolina, to provide ballistic windshield kits, was actually awarded today, July 1, 2024.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

American States Utility Services Inc., San Dimas, California, has been awarded an estimated $28,819,200, modification (P00011) to a 50-year contract (SP0600-23-C-8356) with no option periods for additional water distribution and wastewater collection systems utility services at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. This is a fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment contract. The performance completion date is March 31, 2074. Using military service is Navy.
