Is the Casio Protrek PRW-2500 Discontinued?

Hello Is the Casio Protrek PRW-2500 discontinued? I notice that Casio.com is out of stock, Amazon says out of stock with a "we don't know when or if we will be getting it back in stock" message. JC Penney's, Kohls, REI all have it out of stock. The Casio Store on eBAY (is owned by Casio) has not had this model in a while (they used to sell a lot of them) Could this be the end of the PRW-2500?  

It seems you are correct... a sad thing, one of the best pro trek watches ever made,veith an unique screen etc

Este sistema de recarga de baterías con energía solar exclusivo de CASIO garantiza un funcionamiento estable de diversas funciones que requieren mucha energía, como la iluminación del dial, las alarmas, los cronómetros y las funciones de medición.

Medición de altitudes según los cambios en la presión atmosférica

El altímetro determina la altitud en su ubicación actual según los cambios de presión atmosférica acumulada que mide el sensor de presión. Establecer el altímetro en una ubicación donde conoce la altitud precisa antes de iniciar el ascenso permite tomar mediciones de altitud aún más precisas.

Medición de nivel del mar

Establecer el altímetro en una ubicación donde conoce la altitud precisa le permite determinar la elevación de su posición actual con respecto al nivel del mar. Si se encuentra frente a un marcador que indica 400 metros sobre el nivel del mar mientras realiza senderismo o escalada, por ejemplo, simplemente configure el altímetro a 400 metros. Esto le permite obtener lecturas más precisas con respecto al nivel del mar cuando realiza mediciones posteriores después de continuar.

Memoria de altitud

Pronóstico del tiempo según la tendencia de presión atmosférica

Una pantalla de gráficos de las lecturas de presión barométrica que se toman a intervalos regulares muestra la tendencia de la presión con un solo vistazo. Cuando la presión sube, es probable que el tiempo mejore; mientras que al bajar la presión suele indicar que el tiempo va a empeorar. Alinear un mapa con el terreno circundante

Si determina el norte magnético con la función de medición de la dirección y coloca un mapa junto a su reloj, puede alinear el mapa con la geografía circundante.

Corrección de declinación magnética

Puede cambiar el estándar de medición de dirección de “norte magnético” a “norte verdadero” si ingresa los datos de declinación magnética indicados en un mapa topográfico para corregir la dirección.

Memoria de orientación [solo modelos seleccionados]

La memoria de orientación memoriza las direcciones detectadas por la función de medición de dirección y las muestra continuamente en formato gráfico. Puede viajar directamente hacia su destino siguiendo un curso determinado con la dirección memorizada que se muestra de forma constante en la posición de las 12 de la esfera de su reloj. Esta capacidad también resulta útil cuando la visibilidad es baja debido a factores como árboles o niebla.

Predicción de la temperatura de destino según la temperatura en su ubicación actual

La temperatura normalmente disminuye en aproximadamente 6,5°C con cada aumento de 1.000 metros en la altitud o 3,6°F con cada aumento de 1.000 pies. Si la temperatura en una altitud de 1.000 metros es de 10 °C, es probable que baje hasta -3 ºC al alcanzar los 3.000 metros.
